The Interesting Thing About Me You Didn't Know Thread

Featured Replies

I thought it would be fun to post some random facts about ourselves on here to get to know a little more bout each other. Can be totally random, serious, something major, something minor, anything you want! I'll start with a couple...

I once dropped a motorcycle on my leg.

I'm a fan of the the Green Bay Packers and the Miami Heat.

The next vacation that I really, really, really want to go on is to the Galápagos Islands.

I build my own computers.

My son is going to be born in about 9 more weeks!

^^this does not surprise me O.o

Apparently I have a 'DMface' by which my parents and brothers immediately see when I'm on DM O.o

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...

I really want to see your DM face Nya.

I am very tall....I can't think of anything interesting.....

I used to be a Scout?

Apparently I get a really wacky loopy grin when reading something funny in here, which is....all the time XD

Hehe, I on le other hand liked doing my schoolwork up in a tree sometimes :P

But I admit twas a little freaky up in the highest yardarm of a 50m-high sailing ship >.>

I cannot STAND some small cramped spaces - like elevators. It's ok if they have mirrors in them, cos then it seems bigger...this is weird because I like making hideyholes and used to have a barrel I'd curl up in to read *nod*

Trees are fine. It's bridges and skyscrapers that get me worried. I get an adrenaline rush from jumping great heights in video games :p

My mum is claustrophobic *nods* I swear she would die if she was stuck in a closet...

My brother seems to be claustrophobic aswell..

I on the otherhand enjoy cramped spaces, makes me feel safe *snuggles*

I am scared of nothing...but the ocean kinda freaks me out a bit.  I've gone scuba diving and stuff, but the idea of that sheer vastness and alien-ness of it freaks me out.

I know right? Similarly, on the aforementioned sailing ship trip, part of le 6.30am wake-up ritual was to jump off the 4m ship rails into the sea...we were anchored in a bay, but still there was a loooooot of water underneath and a looooooooooooooooooot of space for all kinds of monsters to be hiding...

*scurried up the ship side very very fast*

I have to have a beverage that I am addicted to.  For a while it was Sweet Tea, then it was Root Beer, and now it is Diet Pepsi.  I love me some Diet Pepsi.

This, plus the raw force of waves and rip tides... frankly, I think it's prudent to have a healthy respect for the ocean... I almost drowned, twice: once while body surfing, and once while whitewater rafting...

I can play percussion with my feet.

I play the violin with my recurve bow...

Just kidding, but I do play the violin...

I'm so tall I can't fit into cramped spaces - seriously, when I was looking for a car I couldn't buy the small cheap 206's as my head wanted to stick through the roof :)

I sometimes get car-sick at sea.  There was one boat I was working on where the lab was directly above the engines, and the vibrations made me feel ill.  When we went into a Force 9 (sorta accidentally) I could no longer feel the vibrations and felt fine :) Couldn't stand up very easily, but I felt fine.

Ah...I hate mushrooms. With a passion.

I'm not scared of heights, nor of the sea, but I don't really fancy any disasters in the sea, no thank you.

I despise bad grammar (whilst it is being spoken in the native language)...

Ooh, got one!

I flinch massively whenever people touch my ears, or my neck/back of shoulders, though not to as large an extent.

Flinching.. God how I hate my curse. And the worst part is that there are atleast 4 people in my class who love to exploit it.

*really focused on a mathematical equation*

POKE!
