I hope you never need to use this plan, but it's sometimes wise to be prepared. If anything unforeseen should occur, I'll have my son post the details in The Gwampy Thread in Fiddlesticks. So, if you're concerned about me for some reason, check there. I try to post in that thread each day...if all is well, you should see me spamming away normally...otherwise, there should be a post from my son telling why I'm not and when I'll be back. This will save trying to post in all of the org sites. Love, Gramps.

  2. With Christmas jsut 17 days away, it's time to the festive feel to "Tune or No Tune" as Christmas songs are chosen. "Tune or No Tune" is a very simple and enjoyable event. All you need to do is decide whether the song I have chosen is a TUNE (i.e. you love it) or a NO TUNE (i.e. you hate it). Quite simple! This week, we are heading back to 1987 and one of the all time Christmas Classics. This song is frequently chosen as the greatest Christmas song, with it topping the VH1 UK polls in 2004, 2005 and 2006. It has also reached the top 10 of the UK charts 4 times since its release, including 3 times in succession - a boast no other single can make. Yet it has never reac…

Blademaster Grim stood between Blademasters Achelous and Avermind atop a flat topped mountain. The only things that were atop this mountain, besides the small group, was a rock that looked more like a table with a wooden box sitting on the rock. Grim had found this mountain, but wasn’t sure how it had come to be. The mountain seemed as though it had been flattened by a large axe swung by the Creator Himself. If it hadn’t been done by the Power, it would have taken hundreds of men years to carve the rock as flat as it was. Whatever the reason, whatever the method of making it, this place had served Grim’s purposes perfectly. Along with the three Blademasters, t…

I Have been away from the band for so long, I must apologies for my desertion early into my training but i had to go. My life went in a different Direction. Maybe one day i will be able to return to your fires and share in song and drink again. ........And of song. In my days away i have heard the people of strange lands sing familiar songs. To my surprise brothers and sisters Armies march to the Tune of our very own Jak' of the Shadows and many have for a very long time. They Called it Gary Owen, which i assume to be a man but have learned nothing of him from the Lyrics. which let me say are more varied then those of the tune we know. Enclosed herein is F…

Well, the 51st Grammy Award nominations list has been published. The link to view the whole thing is below: http://content.grammy.com/grammy_awards/51st_show/list.aspx As a Brit, it is good to see such a strong showing from British artists - especially Coldplay, considering I went to the same university as Chris Martin and company, as well as being in the same department (only a few years later! lol!). I'm not the greatest fan of Adele and Duffy, but they must be doing something right to get nominated. And Led Zeppelin giant Robert Plant is amongst those on the list, as well as Radiohead. Things look pretty good for British music!

Welcome to this month's edition of the Hornsounder! Welcome, dear Reader, to November's edition of the Hornsounder. Winter is in full swing for most of us around the globe, while others are fully enjoying the benefits of Spring. Wherever you are and whatever season you are emerged in, for all of us the time has come to count down towards the end of another year and the celebration of many different holidays. This is a special edition indeed, as it is the last one of 2008 as the entire Hornsounder team is taking a much needed and well earned break in December. So the next edition of the Hornsounder will not be out till end of January. A perfect time for yo…

Well, I stumbled across this online radio station by accident, but what a great accident it was! I have fallen in love with the pure awesomeness of last.fm. It is so brilliant that you don't get any annoying adverts or chat, and if there is a song you don't like, you can skip it! Plus, if you are into a specific area of music (for example, female fronted metal and symphonic metal as I am at the moment), I can listen purely to groups that fall into this genre. You also have the ability to sign up and create a library of your favourite artists and songs. I have also noticed you can link it up to iTunes and your iPod. This is something I am going to investigate in the c…

AotM - Aerosmith Aerosmith came into being in 1970, in Boston in Massachusetts. Guitarist Joe Perry and bassist Tom Hamilton, originally in a band together called the Jam Band, met up with singer Steven Tyler, drummer Joey Kramer, and guitarist Ray Tabano, and formed Aerosmith. A year later Tabano was replaced by Brad Whitford and they started to gain a following. They signed a record deal with Columbia Records in 1972 and released their début album in 1973. The band's style was rooted in blues-based hard rock and has since also incorporated elements as diverse as pop, heavy metal, rhythm and blues and glam. They broke into the mainstream in 1975 with their albu…

Arrandion heeded the summons from the Guild of Blades and followed their orders to the letter. He had polished his armour until it shone. He'd sharpened and polished his blade, The Messenger of Justice, until he could see his reflection and not a speck of dust or spot of blood marked its surface. When he was finally convinced he was presentable he followed the Guild of Blades directions. Eventually he came to an opening in a limestone hill and he took the torch that flickered in the wind from its holder. Stooping through the entrance he followed the trail through the caves, the warmth and sunlight quickly left behind, on occasion he saw his breath steam in front of …

Have it take place in the Age of Legends, or Post Rand Land, Either way, I would love it to be epic. I want the …

Another Way to Die Very interesting song, very catchy, I actually rather like the combination of Jack White and Alicia Keys, which is interesting, because normally I'm not much of a fan of Keys, though Jack White has always been cool to listen to. The music video isn't too bad either.

Hey everyone! I am new here and I was wondering, why is the Band so underrepresented on the RP side? I say we breathe life into those boards and show everyone why the Band is the best Org around. I know most of you are really creative and all of you have to have a great imagination to enjoy Jordan's work so much. So lets do it. Lets do a group RP, lets have an epic adventure that will put the other Orgs to shame!

  28. I noticed that there aren't many posts made in the rp forums for the band on this site. I think i'm lost. I posted a thread over there but I don't think anyone will see it, no one has been there in a longtime. so here is the link. Sorry for getting everyone excited at something they probably thought was something really interesting. http://forums.dragonmount.com/index.php/topic,36181.0.html thanks everyone for all your help and support in these trying times of newbness.
