As we seem to have a few Metal heads in the Band, I'm picking a metal group for this week's "Tune or No Tune". All you need to do is decide if it is a TUNE (i.e. you love it) or NO TUNE (i.e. you hate it). I have to blame an old Bander for getting me into Blind Guardian - Faile1987. And I'm so glad she did! I've been a big fan since that day about 2 years ago. They have been classified under Speed Metal and Power Metal, and they also like to go for that epic feel. A spotfine that is currently being done by one of our longstanding members got me thinking that it might be fun to reflect on some memories we all have from our time in the Band so far. I also thought that some of our newer members (and maybe even non-Banders) might find it fun to read up on some annecdotes, experiences, memories that have made their way into the Band and the Banders' minds. Welcome to this month's edition of the Hornsounder! The Hornsounder is back again, and there have been several events happening in the Band this month. Created in 1985 under the name "Majesty", Dream Theater was originally created by three men in Boston at the Berklee College of Music. For those of us in Europe, we have a week of musical fun and comedy ahead of us. It is called: The Eurovision Song Contest Now into its 53rd year, Eurovision is bigger, better (this is debatable), and more contraversal than ever. But it somehow manages to gel Europe for a couple of hours during a week through music. The voting is always dodgy, the songs can be awful, there is the legacy of scoring a "nul point", but the competition still manages to survive. Right...I just about have my list of the Top 10 winners of Eurovision. I came across these two videos on YouTube that give a medlee of all the winners. Well, once the first semi-final is over, I will be releasing my top 10 flops of Eurovision. The only qualifying criteria is to have scored a famous "nul point". A lot depends on Dustin the Turkey, and that is why I am holding my list back for now. So, until about 10pm (GMT), you're just gonna have to wait for Corki's Top 10 Eurovision flops! Well, after Tuesday's first semi-final, we are back to Belgrade for the 2nd semi-final. Tonight is being billed as the Battle of the Divas, with former winner Charlotte Nilsson of Sweden against the entries from Malta and Ukraine. Again, 10 places are up fro grabs. And again, I will be here to give my views. Of course, let's hope DM doesn't decide otherwise...

And it is less than 15 minutes until the big start - Eurovision 2008 will be underway. And I will be your host for this evening's entertainment, passing my glorious comments on tonight's proceedings. Of course, we have the much anticipated Dustin the Turkey, representing Ireland, up tonight as he aims to book a place in Saturday's final. And just a quick rundown on how tonight is to work. 5 countries (Serbia, UK, France, Germany and Spain) are all guarenteed a place in the final.
