I saw this somewhere else and thought that it would be fun to try it here. You write the titles of two books - one that you like and one that you dislike. The rest of us can then guess which one you like or don't like. It might lead to a discussion about those books as well. How are you all doing? Looking forward to the fall? (Or whatever season you have in your country.) I always like a new season when it arrives. Welcome to August in the Black Tower. Let us know that you are here. 5 points for signing in and 5 points for answering the question. What way of travelling in the WoT is your favourite? For exampel: Portal stones, T'A'R, the Ways, skimming, travelling through gateways, riding a mule... I think traveling through gateways seems the easiest but I'm fascinated by the Ways. I'm thinking that it was a beautiful place to travell through in the beginning. Hopefully they can cleans the Ways from mashadar. (I know what it says in the deleted Perrin chapter but that isn't canon.)

@Illian Tear You are not only the Black Tower's M'Hael but you are now also Asha'man of the second level. I don't think we have had anyone reach this level since we added it so we do not have any traditions connected to it. But I think it deserves a celebration. Maybe with some brownies? Me and my bf has started the Dark Tower series. We are on book one and I have mixed feelings about it so far. I'm late to the party but I'm binge watching The Office. I've just started the last season. When it comes to games we have been playing CAH and Talisman lately. I'm still listening to some ASOIAF podcasts. Just to prepare for the book coming out next year. Right?!

How is everyone? Are you staying safe in these mad times? It feels like work has consumed me the last weeks. I’m looking forward to summer break. 7 weeks off! I really need it. Obviously we can’t travel anywhere but it will be nice with some peace and quiet, a book and a cup of tea. It is the second book in a series about 20th century history. In the first book fictional characters had to live through the first world war and in this book their kids experiences the second world war. My school has decided that the students in 9th grade will go to Poland each year to visit Krakow, Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II Birkenau. I went there four years ago and now it was my time to go there again. You might think it´s easier to visit the concentration camps when you have already been ther before but it´s not. Standing in the gas chamber is still frightening. I saw things that I didn´t saw the first time and that added to the horror. Birkenau is a really big concentration camp and this time I got to see all of it. The men´s baracks, the women´s baracks, the rubble that used to be the gas chambers and the crematorium, the "bath house", the Romani camp (no baracks …

I´m so sorry that I haven´t been here much lately. My litte Sam (cat) is sick again and I´m so worried. It´s hard to relax and enjoy things right now. We went to the vet on Thursday. They couldn´t find what is wrong. We was ready to let him sleep but the vet said that there might still be a chance that he can get well. It looked good on Friday and Saturday and we got hopeful. But now he is getting worse again. If he doesn´t get better the coming week we will have to say goodbye. I don´t want him to suffer. But it´s so horrible to make that decision. How are you? Longing for upcoming holidays? I do. I will have two weeks off, which is wonderful. Yesterday the actor playing Logain was announced - Alvaro Morte. Very exciting. It's said that he will have an expanded part, which I'm looking forward to. Is there anything that you would like the tv series to make different from the books when it comes to Logain or the Black Tower? (Hopefully the tv series will run long enough to add the BT.)
