  1. Anyone played it yet? I haven't gotten too far into it. It really is basically GTA in china. Except you can sortof choose to be a good guy or a bad guy. At least that's the impression I'm getting. The fighting is more enjoyable than GTA. It's almost identical to the way you fight in Arkham City/Asylum. I don't how gun fighting works yet as I haven't progressed far enough to actually get any guns. But it seems like it should provide at least a few hours of decent entertainment.

What video game, or even board game would you like to see made into a movie, and who would you put in it? My first thought was legend of zelda. Directed by either peter jackson or chris nolan. Staring orlando bloom as link, the girl who played the star in stardust as zelda and the fuy who did darth maul as ganon. Another one i coukd see being good would be assasins creed, not shur who would play wbat in that, could just see it being a good movie if done right

Which ads have stood out for you over the years? What is the best commercial you've ever seen? My own personal favorite had me laughing like a crazy loon when it was on TV originally. Even now, more than 25 years later, I still speak of moving on to something else by saying "Is next!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5CaMUfxVJVQ

I checked 3 pages and couldn't find a thread for this so if there was one I guess it's old and dead but yes I just watched episode 10 and omg shit is seriously hitting the fan I don't see how the Sons are going to survive this season speaking of which FX has ordered an extra episode for this season so that's pretty cool and IIRC season 5 is already confirmed so yeah is anyone else watching this?

I am a huge MMA fan and wanted to see if there are any other like minded people on this forum. The great grappling, less technically sound but more wild striking, and different style match-ups are extremely interesting to me. In addition to this, I think it could be a great thread for discussing the dangers/fun of betting on professional sports, such as this wildly foolish wager. Also, if anyone has any questions about this sport, feel free to speak up! If there are any detractors, please be respectful in posting.

Anyone else see the little trailers on FX and go "Genius" like I do? FX’s latest original series is Wilfred, a half-hour comedy starring Elijah Wood as a suicidal manic-depressive and Jason Gann as a dog. This one’s going to be strange, folks. Wilfred is yet another Americanized comedy adaptation, this time coming from the Australian show of the same name. The original was broadcast down under in 2007, with a second season airing just last year. Wilfred is based on a 2002 short film by comedy duo Adam Zwar and Jason Gann. Zwar has been replaced by Elijah Wood (The Lord of the Rings trilogy and the forthcoming prequel The Hobbit) for the American version, but …

well the midseason premier (or whatever it's called) happened last week and we're looking forward to a new episode tonight thoughts on this season? the first half kind of really bored me it was just everyone sitting around a farm doing a bunch of nothing I really started to wonder why I was still watching this show it may have really great costumes but the actors can be such a drag sometimes even with good dialogue (and the bad dialogue is just a terror all on it's own) the mid season finale (seriously what are these things called?) reminded me why I was still tuning in this show seems to save the very best stuff for the end of a season I wont spoil what happen…

  16. Star Trek: The Next Generation's first season was released on Blu-Ray last week, the culmination of more than a year's work in digitally restoring and remastering the first season for high-definition. I go into this in more detail in the linked post, but briefly ST:TNG was originally shot on high-quality 35mm film but was mastered and compiled on standard-definition video for NTSC transmission in the United States. Whilst it looked good in 1987, this was not acceptable for high-definition viewing (and was starting to push it on the DVD releases, to be honest). After various upscaling experiments failed, CBS went back to the original 35mm film elements and re-scanned t…

So, there is this new game that's in BETA phase, Smite. So what type of game is it? Arena style third person. Very similar to League of legends, Defenders of the Ancients 2, Heroes of newerth, only mayor differance is that you view the gameboard in another way. What's the objective of the game? Kill the enemy Tauren, he's located deep in the enemy base. You have to destroy 2 tower and one "pheonix" tower first before you can get at the Tauren. Little minions constantly "spawn" from the base to defend the towers/attack enemy towers, they are NPC. You have 4 teammates who, together with you, try to destroy these towers with the help of the minions. …

It's a pretty fun game. If you've played DOtA or LoL at all you can grasp the concept fairly quickly. It's gods instead of champs or heroes. Gods from all sorts of religions. Zeus, Odin, Artemis, Hades, Anubis, Bastet. Just to name a few. If anyone is interested I have two keys for the closed beta, which will give whoever joins like 3 or 4 invites themselves so they can give some to others.

  19. Hey, i play EVE and in my opinion it is probably the best MMORPG out there. the depth is simply astonishing and incalculably cool at the same time, and the ship designs are so unique. Have any of you played, or play EVE? What did you do? What did you think?

A buddy got me to download this app called Legend of the Cryptids since they are doing an event thing where you get a friend to signup and use your ID, and once they complete to tutorial, you get a Rare Card and some items. ...and I haven't been able to stop playing it..! Its free to download and play. Its a TCG (Trading Card Game), kind of like Magic: The Gathering, for those who remember it. Collect cards, do quests to level up, Evolve and Enhance your cards to make 'em more powerful, and then fight other players and do guild events and so on. Its pretty fun actually! The artwork for the cards is pretty sick. Its one of the major things thats kept me so caug…

Beloved TV star Andy Griffith died at his home in Manteo, North Carolina, on Tuesday morning. He was 86. Former University of North Carolina President Bill Friday confirmed the passing of his close friend to WITN News. [Related: Andy Griffith: His life in photos] Griffith became a household name for his portrayal of a small-town sheriff on "The Andy Griffith Show," which aired from 1960 to 1968. His character, Andy Taylor, was a widower in the fictional town of Mayberry, N.C., which was thought to be modeled after Griffith's hometown of Mount Airy, N.C. His character encountered daily drama from his sidekick Deputy Barney Fife (Don Knotts) as well as his young son…
