I didn't find any thread about Final Fantasies in general, so here it is! What are your favorite and least favorite FF, which ones have you played, etc. So I didn't play them all (yet), I only played 2-4-7-8-9(partly)-10-X2- and I tried 12, but I got bored after 5 hours. =/ Favorite game: FF7, hands down. It's been my first RPG ever and it still remains my favorite after all this time. I love the whole story in FF7, even though in my opinion it's the saddest story in all the games I've played so far. Especially with Crisis Core, in which I wept way too often >_> The characters are charming and endearing, and the bad guys are really cool. The music…

Is there any more recent information reguarding this? I see that an MMO and movies were in production for TWoT, but I haven't seen anything that wasn't posted close to 3 years ago. I've been writing down an extensive list of ideas for a TWoT MMO myself. What I'm curious about is what kind of game would other people like to see? My dream is for an MMO, but that would be very difficult. I have already begun on an entire excel spreadsheet that will show the entire games progression, as well as the specific class / skills / chapter developments. Currently I have 3 other close friends working on this with me. One of them is a brilliant artist and hopefully I might eve…

So Fred Couples has used one of his two captain's picks to bring Tiger Woods onto the Presidents Cup team. His reasoning was that Tiger "is the best player in the world ever." Is it just me or does anyone else think that Couples was just roused from a 3 year old coma? Tiger has fallen from #1 to #36 and isn't even in the top 100 in money earnings on the PGA. The thing Tiger is best known for in the past couple months is firing his caddy and missing the cut at the PGA Championship.

So, because I can't live without your acceptance and I'm a sucker for group pressure, I just now, within 20 minutes ago, finished watching Top Gun. And what a ride it was. I can safely say, that this is, indeed, the greatest movie ever made. It's a deep and involving drama about flying an airplane, but more importantly, about the death of loved ones and about repressed homosexuality. The film holds no punches, and it's characters are as deep and involving as the film itself: Cruise's performance will blow you away, and Val Kilmer as the "antagonist" Iceman is also gratifying. Of course, they resolve their relationship towards the end ("You can be my wingman any time"). …

Looks like it's the season for reboots, but the good news is, Christopher Nolan will be mentoring the new Superman movie. Hopefully the movie will get a good director attached. If there were a director to make Superman a huge success, it's Nolan. He did it with Batman, hopefully he can do it again.

I got tired of posting a new topic for every piece of news I came across. So, unless I find something awesome that's worth it's own post, I'll be posting most movie news here. No more Orlando Bloom

After a long spring and summer, college football training camps are finally starting to get into gear around the country. For me personally, this is one of the greatest times of the year, and there can be few things better than discussing the dozens of games that occur every weak from September-January. So, while we wait for the first games, it's finally time to ponder what will happen over the next few months. The 2011 Preseason Coaches' Poll has been released, and there are some old favorites as well as some new members in the rankings. Is anyone surprised about and of the teams that were or were not included? What does everyone think about the major shifts in C…

Anyone that has ever spoken to me knows my utter hate for the first two movies. I grew up loving the cartoon. I geeked out over the trailers. I dragged my wife to watch it on the big screen for a midnight show. I watched in horror as Michael Bay took something I loved and flushed it down the toilet. Then somehow Bay made a second movie that was much worse. Now we come to the third movie. Reviwers seem to be loving it... but after the second episode it would be hard to make a worse movie. If you watch it let me know what you think. I have no plans to watch it until it comes to netflix.

Universal Pictures and NBC Universal Television have locked down an ambitious deal to adapt Stephen King’s fantasy novel series "The Dark Tower" for both the big and small screen reports Deadline. "The Da Vinci Code" team of director Ron Howard, producer Brian Grazer and writer Akiva Goldsman will adapt the property into a feature film trilogy and network TV series that, in a highly unusual move, will unfold the story simultaneously across both formats. Ideally the viewer would watch the first film, the first season of the show, the second film, the second season of the show, and then the final film. Ron Howard has committed to direct the first feature and first s…

So the premier was about what I expected and from the upcoming episodes it looks like a lot is going to change. I like the idea of the series more than the series itself so far. I'm not so sure Noah Wyle was the best choice for the lead. I missed about 15 minutes of the show and didn't care. I didn't bother rewinding. The story was pretty weak at that part. Hopefully the rest of the series will be a little more grounded.

Kind of think of it as another "I just watched thread" except you are talking about movies you are excited about coming out. Also lets talk about movies that are on the horizon... not coming out in 3 years :P So everyone knows I love movies. But between January and say August I rarely head to the theatre to watch anything. Of course there are rumors that "bed bugs live in the theatre seats.... BOO!". But that is not my reason for staying away. There is just nothing out I have a strong desire to see. Yes, I am a movie snob. I eventually see everything though. Ok there IS a movie out right now I want to see. However it has such a limited release it is c…

Ok, Community Shield is played, and we are only days away from kickoff for the new season. I think we are looking at a more competative season than ever. Man City is obviously posing a threat with their insane spending (over £100 million for the second seson in a row), but clubs like Aston Villa, Everton, Sunderland and last sesons surprising 4th team Tottenham have all boosted their squads. The top teams will lose quite a few points against eams they easily pushed aside a few seasons ago. And the new rules about a 25-player squad also plays a role here, making it slightly easier for the smaller clubs to narrow the gap. But in the end, I think it will be as usua…

I'm thinking about seeing both movies this weekend, but I'm not sure if I should watch one, both or neither in 3-D. My main concern is that the 3-D is a gimmick by the studios to increase sales. However, from word-of-mouth about Transformers 3, it seems that the 3-D really added something to the experience. I don't expect Avatar-style 3-D effects, but I don't want the equivalent of a pop-up book at half the color and brightness. I also expect to buy HP8 and CA on DVD eventually, so this would be an argument against seeing it in 2-D in the theaters. My questions: 1. How's the 3-D quality for each film? 2. Did the 3-D simply add to the experience or create a u…

As most know now, Ryan Reynolds was hired by Warner Brothers to star in the WB Production Green Lantern based on the Dc Comics character. It was released today that another of the main characters of the film was cast. Taken From www.THR.com Blake Lively has nabbed the female lead opposite Ryan Reynolds in Warner Bros.' "Green Lantern." Lively will play Carol Ferris, who runs her father's aerospace company and hires cocky test pilot Hal Jordan (Reynolds), who later becomes the intergalactic policeman Green Lantern. In the comics, the romance became complicated when an alien race bestowed her the power of a crystal called the Star Sapphire.…

The Broadcast Television Journalists Association – comprised of 62 TV, radio and Internet writers covering TV – have picked the eight new series to which they’re most looking forward. * “Alcatraz,” Fox’s new Sam Neill time-travel show that reunites a lot of “Lost” personnel, including producer J.J. Abrams (“Star Trek,” “Super 8”), writer Elizabeth Sarnoff (“Deadwood”) and actor Jorge Garcia. The pilot on this one is very strong. * “Apartment 23,” ABC’s sitcom from “American Dad!” writers David Hemingson and Nahnatchka Khan about a New York party girl (Krysten Ritter of “Breaking Bad”) and her small-town roomie (Dreama Walker from “The Good Wife”). * “Awa…
