Has anyone been watching this? I'm hooked after the first episode. It's pretty much everything I hoped The Tudors would be. I realize the subject material is different, but I'm still disappointed with The Tudors despite them having such good source material.

I am a huge fan of every story having a beginning and an end. That being said, Supernatural's producer has always said the story had an ending that was not suppose to go beyond 5 seasons. The series has had such a good build up to this point, with the character development, progressing plot, twists and turns, that I thought that season 5 finale should have been the series finale. Without giving up any spoilers that episode tied up most loose ends, had a few choking moments, and left you with a feeling of a complete (or as complete as a TV series can give you) story. But alas... They (CW) found it more lucrative to give Dean and Sam another (hopefully only 1) m…

For those of your familiar with the previous games I have hosted, this will be cake. For those of your new to it... it is easy. I will post two TV shows that had memorable opening credits and you will vote for your favorite. Once we have completed a round, the winners will pitted against each other until we only have one theme song that is victorious. Please only vote based on the opening credits... not on how much you love the show. Battle 1 Sopranos Vs. The Cosby Show and to get us going... a second battle... Battle 2 Star Trek: TNG vs. Angel

For the record, I think bring this show back to TV is terrible... ala Bionic Woman and The Cape. With that said I like the actress they selected. Adrianne Palicki, all 5’11 of her, will play Diana Themyscira in the pilot for David E. Kelley’s contemporary NBC reboot of “Wonder Woman.” If the rumors were true, Palicki was on the short list to play the same Amazon princess in George Miller’s aborted “Justice League” movie. The actress is likely best known as the towering player-dater on another NBC series, “Friday Night Lights.” She also starred on Fox's short lived "Lone Star" and in the upcoming big-screen remake of "Red Dawn." The project is rare d…

After a poor round on Sunday, the European PGA tour fined Tiger Woods an undisclosed amount for spitting on the 12th green. Does this mean the golf world is finally disenchanted with the "exalted one" or are they just trying to wake him up from his current funk?

  22. Started by Krakalakachkn,

Anyone have any favorites? I didn't watch much of the game, but I caught a little and a few commercials. The ones that stuck out included the cute little kid in a darth vader costume who went around his house trying to use the force. Also the car commercial where the two guys were talking about how they would make a car commercial. They kept switching to and from all the common cliches in car commercials and it was pretty humorous. I really didn't like the Kim Kardashian commercial - I can't believe they could air that one. The other really bad one I saw was the Coke commercial with a dragon and some sort of furry orc assaulting a castle with mir…

First of all i'm an oldie who actually saw the original films when they came out. They are very dear to me from my childhood memories. I loved them then and I love them now. The prequels. Well I wont turn this into a bitch-fest but the words crap, disappointing, and mediocre spring to mind Anyway I'll leave it at that. Then I heard there was a live-action (what does that mean anyway) tv series in the works - 6 years ago. So now i'm thinking - this aint gonna happen. I'm looking through a dvd shop - star wars clone wars season 1, Hmmm ok i'll give it a go, knowing George Lucas it will be aimed soley at kids and have cute characters so he can sell as toys and make mo…

  25. Okay, I realize that this is the place to discuss movies, TV shows and whatnot. Krak has given me permission, however, to attempt a mafia game that would be based on characters (or alternatively objects) from various (rather known) movies. I usually run very low-key, laidback, mafia for dummies sort of games. I'm more interested in having fun and a good laugh, rather than who wins or loses. So if you're worried about an overly emotional atmosphere, that won't be the case. It'll be extremely casual for you movie freaks :) I have started planning a bit... but I'd like to have sign ups to see if this game will actually happen and if so what scale I'm looking at... …

A recent leak from Blizzard (via the Chinese office, which has resulted in sackings there) shows a production slate of their proposed releases over the next four years. What are your most re-watched movies? Could be be great movies, could be movies so bad you love watching em, doesn't matter. Just movies you watch again and again. For me, in no particular order, it'd probably be: Ocean's 11 Bourne Identity The Truman Show 500 Days of Summer Thank You For Smoking The Hangover Zombieland

  29. Ron Howard, director of films such as The Da Vinci Code, Apollo 13 and A Beautiful Mind, has signed on to tackle a movie trilogy based on Stephen King's seven-volume Dark Tower sequence. According to the source, there is also the possibility of a spin-off television series being developed simultaneously. The series, which sees a gunslinger named Roland making his way to the forbidding Dark Tower, is the unifying cosmological link between much of King's other work, although its sales have not been at the same level as his other, more stand-alone books. King is currently writing a new Dark Tower novel that falls earlier in the books' timeline. J.J. Abrams and the…
