Some of you know The Raven character from DC Comics, and others from the Cartoon Network show 'Teen Titans'. Either way, she's back!

I am surprised nobody has started a thread yet! So time to end that! And as an England fan, it's all pretty good news at the moment! After years of hurt down under in trying to either regain or keep the Ashes, it's great to see England putting in some dominant displays. After a poor opening day in the first test, it's good to see everything is coming together nicely. Cook scoring runs for fun; Pietersen joining in the fun; the bowlers working well as a unit; some top class fielding as well; and Captain Strauss at the helm. Hopefully my optimism of retaining the Ashes in Australia won't be destroyed! 300+ runs ahead in the second test, we should win if we can bowl …

So I just spent 6 years of my life on the edge of my seat completly enthralled with Lost. What you can't take away from JJ Abrams is how fresh, origonal and well done this story was. But really JJ WTF! I just watched the series finale and I am left angry and feeling as if I have just been viciously raped by a Faceless! Theyn toataly copped out and gave us a "Jacob's Ladder"ish ending. This entire last season was crap and they jumped the reservation. We know virtually nothing about the island. Is it alien technology on the island? Why are people healed? Where did the egyptian crap come from? What the hell is the smoke monster? Alls we know is what the poeple did on t…

I just bought and watched the first six seasons of this show and I have to say it was amazing. The best show i've watched in a long time. When the 7th season comes out on dvd I plan on buying that as well. Hbo is making an eight and final season and after that there is going to be a movie made as well. Both of which I intend to buy on dvd. Anyway I just wanted to know people think of this show

  9. Started by Ananta,

One of the best series on TV. And I noticed it doesn't have its own thread... And neither does Mentalist, but I'll let someone else open that one if they feel like it.

  10. Anyone given a go at Dragon Age: Origins? I played thru it before starting to read WOT and found myself reading plenty of things I had just played thru. *POSSIBLE SPOILERS* In Dragon Age, the Kingdom of Ferelden is under relentless attack from THE BLIGHT. On the game they're just orcs tho. Soldiers who are specially trained to deal with the blight are called WARDENS. A bad guy's name is Logain. As you can see there's some pretty big elements they borrowed from WOT. I'm not sure if there's more. Those are the ones I could think of at the moment.

Hello my fellow movie lovers! In honor of The Holidays, I decided it might be cool to have a Holiday Movie Showdown. Basically, I post two Holiday movies and everyone votes which of the two are their favorite. Eventually only one movie will remain, and that movie will be the Best Holiday Movie Ever! Let's begin! Our first tie contains two pretty recent Christmas movies with star-studded casts. Which one do you like better? Round One, Tie One Elf Elf is a 2003 comedy film directed by Jon Favreau, written by David Berenbaum and starring Will Ferrell, James Caan, and Zooey Deschanel. VS. Love, Actually Love Actual…

Jon Favreau Departs 'Iron Man' Franchise Jon Favreau will not return to direct Marvel's "Iron Man 3," the filmmaker confirmed Tuesday on Twitter. "It's true, I'm directing 'Magic Kingdom,' not 'Iron Man 3.' I've had a great run with Marvel and wish them the best," wrote Favreau. The filmmaker's relationship with Marvel reportedly soured after the release of "Iron Man 2, though he did consult on both Kenneth Branagh's "Thor" and Joe Johnston's "Captain America," and remains on board to exec produce Joss Whedon's "The Avengers." Got that off some website. Anyways though, to address my main point. Reaaaly? I get that he has little kids and all, but s…

    Started by Guest AlanRideout,

I'm sorry if I posted this in the wrong section, but I didn't see any real section for the roleplaying game. So I have been looking through my WoTC 3.0 Wheel of Time book and continue to desire to play in a game. However I really got into d20 with 3.5, so I always meant to convert it to 3.5 but never got to it. However now that I have finished Towers of Midnight, I find my desire renewed, however I feel to skip to Pathfinder (Because I am rather fond of those rules), while keeping much of the core of the game intact. I have gone over some preliminary study and found most Prestige classes really don't need anything except level 10 abilities, and the channeling base …

So, we all know Mel Gibson was once a prolific and well respected actor in the 1990's and early 2000's. However, most of us saw that respect and admiration turn to disgust and betrayal as Gibson methodically destroyed his public image and credibility. The man that gave us The Patriot, Braveheart, Mad Max, and (most importantly) The Passion of Christ turns out to be a racist and a drunk that boozes and sleeps around and yells racial slurs. Here's the plotline from his new movie that comes out sometime in 2011: Now, this sounds like a potentially great, heartwarming movie that could be slated for an Oscar nomination depending on how good it is. My question i…

Rumors about Sony’s PlayStation Phone have been circulation for months upon months, but we’ve only seen glimpses of what this kind of system might look like. Now, thanks to a leaked video, we can actually see the system in action. Engadget is running a video of what they think is a PlayStation Phone prototype, codenamed Zeus Z1. Sony is still mum on the subject, which is sad, because this looks pretty exciting. Check out the video below.

So, Dreamworks is thinking up some serious sequelage for the future. Yeah, because Shrek 2, Shrek the Third, Shrek Goes Forth, Shrek the Halls, and Scared Shrekless were all "warranted by the story" and not "cashing in on the success of the original". Don't get me wrong, I love Shrek 2, but the rest aren't very good. Shrek the Third was notable for the addition of the character Puss in Boots, a very good character in my mind, but Shrek Goes Forth was garbage. I look forward to Kung Fu Panda sequels, but I have a hard time imagining a six-movie story arc from such a simple premise...although I guess simple premises are sometimes the easiest to write new m…

You told me you liked the techninquel part of video production so i thought id share this sweet as camera shot So what they do is have two people, one holding the camera and the other is the focus puller and zoom control. The camera dude rides through the crowd on a segway while the other runs along side. He jumps off onto a ramp and then continues on foot running around the lead singer

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here fresh from a press screening of HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS PART 1 and I’m happy to report that it’s just as dark as the book was. Moreso even. I’d be willing to bet that this generation’s small children will point at this film as one of those that made a huge impression on them. For me it was watching Artax sink into the Swamps of Sadness, that f-ing horrible bog witch from Legend and Toht’s face melting in Raiders of the Lost Ark. For them it’ll be moments from this film, particularly the opening. Some might consider this spoiler material, so you’ve been warned, but one of the very first things we see is Snape showing up to an…
