So far Disney+ has only released 2 episodes of this, approaching this with a weekly-release format.

I just started watching this today, and I gotta say, I'm loving it. The movie felt very rushed, and as a TV series, I think they might be able to do this series justice.

Just curious who's watching. I was surprised that something happened in the very first of five episodes, something I didn't expect until either of the last two episodes. Really caught me off guard and I had to really work hard not to let my emotions play on my face when it happened (was watching at a friends house and didn't want him to see me get all weepy-eyed or anything).

I started playing this again about 3 years ago. But after my son was born, going to FNM, became impossible. WoTC finally released F2P PC version of MTG online called Arena.

So whats your favourite music pieces for the season? yes pieces because i know it wont be songs for all Personally i am a huge fan of any of Pentaonix renditions of christmas songs its something about the sound they manage to make of them that just really builds the songs up and gets you in the spirit. While i didnt know it growing up, Mary did you know has since i heard it the first time fast become one of my favourite christmas songs, i really like the lyrics of that one. Then you of course got the more festive ones like Grandma got run over by a reindeer. and yes when it comes to styles and such i am a bit all eating just dependin…

So I'm pretty sure anyone who's a fan of the MCU movies has already heard about Martin Scorsese's comments about how the MCU movies "aren't cinema" and are "theme parks." And you probably know that this sort of started a bit of an uproar online amongst geeks (you don't piss off geeks!), despite a number of actors and directors from the MCU trying to smooth things over. Well, Marty has now posted an op/ed clarifying his thoughts, and I thought I would share it here for any interested geeks to read and perhaps comment on. I'm going to think on this before posting my own thoughts. There's a lot to chew on here before responding. EDITed to add: …

This months themed discussion is on Horror in Entertainment. October starts off with Harvest Season, and it ends in my personal favorite holiday, Halloween. Do you like the Horror Genre? Do you hate it? What are your favorite Horror films? Video Games? Songs? Books? Tabletop Games? Etc? Which ones do you hate? What makes you jump, your skin crawl, or squirm at the mere sight? What makes you recoil in fear? What horror tropes are you tired of seeing? Which Tropes can't you get enough of? What do you think about ultra-gore from series like Saw? What do you think about the Nudity that runs rampant in horror films? What makes or break ho…

https://watchersonthewall.com/game-thrones-lands-number-emmy-nominations-season-8/#more-176047 Who do you think deserves an Emmy? It's obvious that they get more nominations since it was the last season. I have not seen the other shows so I can't compare with them but here are my hopes: * All the technical and visual stuff. * Music!!! * Best drama series (maybe more about the series as a whole and not just this season) * Emilia Clark - I think she was great this season. * Alfie Allen - should have been nominated long ago. * Gwendoline Christie. Maise was great as well. Lena Heady should have gotten a Emmy long ago but didn…

I admit there were a few things in the last season that I facepalmed over, but I was really shocked by how much people seem to have hated the series finale. what did y'all think?

I didn't see any recent NFL discussion threads so I thought I'd start one up, anyone here actively following the NFL and all the recent crazy things that just happened? Zeke suspension, Watkins/Gaines trade, Matthews/Darby trade??

So apparently this show didn't get cancelled. It's no longer with MTV though, they moved to Spike. Episode 1 aired the other day and without too many spoilers I'll just say they retain the same cast as last season more or less but this time they seem to be covering the Sword of Shannara story. How they are going to do that exactly with the elfstones in play isn't really clear to me but eh whatever.

So I was browsing the WoT wiki today and noticed that EA and Obsidian had gotten the rights to a WoT MMORPG and was wondering if anything new had been released on that front? Apparently the last thing heard about it was in 2014? I think WoT has plenty of races, factions, 'classes', lore, world building ,etc to make a good MMO.

Does anyone watch this? I think it's a spin off from another show but I never watched the original. There are three seasons so far and imo every episode is better than the last.

I'm wondering what you guys think is the worst movie you've ever seen. Please only put down movies you've actually watched or attempted to watch. For me it was Eagle vs Shark. Went in expecting epic animal battles, left hating New Zealand SO MUCH.

Er... probably not the person to make this thread and/or any number of other things.... But here I am..... So Sharks and Blues played yesterday watched that whole game wow really intense on both sides wasn't sure how it was going to go.... For some reason the Sharks played best when the Blues were on a power play the only way they got their two short handed goals.... Overall the Blues Goalee I think had a whole different level to his game and made it really hard in general in addition to St. Louis's strong defense overall. That said the Sharks are clearly a good ta team and we'll see I guess how the next gam…

Supposedly, Missy is back for the first episode. Maisie Williams is coming over from GoT for a guest spot at some point. And they've announced that River is going to be on this year's Christmas special. Hopefully the writing will be better than last year.

So I'll be honest here. The Force Awakens got a lukewarm response from me. I am not about to let these movies just skate by on nostalgia alone. That said, if even some of the things this trailer teases comes to pass I think I will finally be able to embrace this new trilogy as a legitimate and successful successor to the franchise. Not going to lie, I haven't been excited for a Star Wars movie since Attack of the Clones (what a mistake that was) so my hopes are high. Really hoping they aren't dashed once again... Thoughts on the trailer?

So I was watching Infinity War earlier on Netflix and it struck me that the MCU is really the cultural sequel to Lord of the Rings. Before LOTR there had been fantasy movies (and superhero) and book adaptions but nothing as ambitious as a very high budget trilogy of films. Star Wars would be the only comparison but at least at that time sci fi was relatively popular and profitable. Harry Potter doesn't count for a few reasons but the most important being it's aimed at a young audience. Fantasy in films has done marginal at the best of times. But then LOTR happened and it was a huge success. Audiences were willing to sit through nearly 3 hours of elves and wizards and come…
