  1. Entertainment Weekly says: … ABC's own description — L.A. Law meets Grey's Anatomy — is all too perfect: There's nothing here you haven't seen elsewhere. … USA Today says: … The absurdity of the bed-bouncing might not matter if Deep End had one interesting character or believable plot. Even if you can get over the hurdle of believing first-month associates would be handling major clients or, more ridiculously, wooing new clients, the cases are empty vessels designed to convey pat, tedious moral messages. … The New York Times says: … a pale imitation without smart writing, imaginative casting or even a clever conceit. … a network series abo…

Golden Globes were this past weekend. I had a lot of opinions that I tweeted or whined to the air about. What did you guys think? I'll just post a couple thought to start the discussion. 1. Juliana Marguiles winning Best Actress in a TV Drama for "The Good Wife" was awesome. She did a great job and the show is also great. 2. Avatar winning 'Best Picture' was a let down. It had phenomenal graphics, but the story line was just Pocahontas redefined, and supported the whole 'white man is necessary for natives to beat invading white man' crap. Obviously the natives couldn't have defeated themselves or you know Cameron couldn't have written a better story. I'll s…

To quote the name of the Scottish rock, we were promised jetpacks. After all, Buck Rogers, George Jetson, and James Bond all wore one. And at each turn, personal flight became shorthand for the awesomeness of technology. That iconic piece of aerial equipment’s been showcased in video games– as in the Tribes series — but hasn’t appeared as much as you’d think. That all changes with Dark Void, which lets players get to strap on their own engines and fly through the air with — almost — the greatest of ease. Dark Void wears its genre influences on its bomber-jacket sleeve. Set in the run-up to WWII, it’s a little bit Indiana Jones, a whole lot of Rocketeer, a teensy-we…

  13. Started by Emperor,

Very very loosely based on the DC Comics character, action-adventure “Human Target” follows a high-priced undercover bodyguard for hire named Christopher Chance, played by the always-watchable Mark Valley (“Boston Legal,” “Fringe”). His associates are played by actors also fresh off better projects, namely Chi McBride (“Boston Public,” “Pushing Daisies”) and Jackie Earle Haley (“Little Children,” “Watchmen”). The supertrain-centric pilot, written by Jonathan Steinberg (“Jericho”) and screened last summer at Comic Con, had a diverting scene or two with Haley’s character but truthfully seemed to add up to a big wad of generic TV action nonsense. To my eyes and ear…

I'm definitely going to get him a console in the next couple of months, but I'm having a hard time deciding which would be best for him. He loves playing fallout 3 and diablo on my pc whcih makes me lean toward the x box 360 elite, but he's 4 which makes me think of the wii just because it's designed for kids. I should mention that he loves to play raw vs. smackdown on a friends ps3. Which console would you recommend I buy for him?

I will be constantly be adding previews of movies to this as I find out about them. http://www.apple.com/trailers/universal/robinhood/ Above is the trailer for a new Robin Hood directed by Ridley Scott and played by Russell Crowe. It will also star Cate Blanchett and William Hurt. I think this will be excellent. I have also owned HSX stock in it for a year.

I took this from EW... Best Motion Picture, Drama Will win and should win: Up in the Air Avatar has the momentum in the overall awards-season race, but with the most Globe nominations this year (six in all), the much more starry Up in the Air should steal it. Best Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical Will win: (500) Days of Summer Should win: It's Complicated With top comedy/musical nominee Nine fading from prominence every day, Globes voters may look elsewhere for the win. Meryl Streep voters could find themselves split between Julie & Julia and the outrageously funny It's Complicated, paving the way for a (500) Days victory. B…

Ok I still have a few more to watch from this year.. and I am sure I am forgetting one or two... but here is my first attempt. My top 10 lists for each year are located on Netflix... and looking through them I think I need to update them with other movies I have watched. My first thought was to take the top 1 from each year and make my list... then I thought.. that isn't right. My top ten consists of movies I love to watch over and over, movies that blew me away and movies that just plain surprised me. I know... none of the Lord of the Rings movies even made my back up list... not many big blockbusters. 1. Once 2007 2. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind…

This one is from EW... 10. The Comeback (2005) Starring the superb Lisa Kudrow as a washed-up sitcom actress, this comedy may have lasted only 13 episodes, but it's the most brilliantly brutal satire of reality TV ever captured on screen. 9. Gilmore Girls (2000-2007) Thank you, fast-talking Lorelai and Rory Gilmore, for suggesting moms and teenage daughters really can get along — all it takes is love, patience, and copious quantities of coffee. 8. The Shield (2002-2008) Det. Vic Mackey didn't just clean up the streets — he cleaned up on the streets. Would he pay for those sins? This gutsy TV drama kept us guessing. 7. The Office (U.K.) (2001-2…
