So it's been a long time since I've bought new video games (outside a terribly misguided decision to pre-order Fallout 76), and I've decided to clean up on Microsoft's EOTY games sale (only 8 days left). There are a ton of games and game bundles available (and many are definitive/ultimate editions) and these are the ones that caught my eye. I already picked up some games that I've heard about for years but never pulled the trigger on. So far Tomb Raider is dope. (Prices are in parenthesis and based on if you have a gold membership) What I've Bought - Tomb Raider ($6) - Rise of the Tomb Raider ($12) - Child of Light - Diablo …

Release date is November 14th, 2018 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One Beta releases in October -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fallout 76 is a prequel to all of the previous Fallout games. Set in 2102, you play an inhabitant of Vault 76 who emerges from the shelter 25 years after the bombs fell on America. Your task is simple: explore what remains of post-apocalyptic America and rebuild civilization. Howard described the game's approach to survival…

All things College Football here. We’ve got an NFL discussion thread, but personally I’m more into the college games since the dudes are still playing for a shot at the pros. So who is your squad? Who is your most hated rival school? Do you prefer to old style BCS selection for bowls or do you like the new playoff format? Should the playoff be expanded? Conference realignment? Heisman hopeful? Who wins the Natty? Any top recruits coming in or prospects heading to the NFL that you’re excited about?

I feel like this show has gone under the radar despite being very good. Season 3 just came out is anyone else watching?

  10. Started by WWWwombat,

Anyone play any of their stuff? I love strategy games and I'm kind of in a love hate relationship with them because of their unending DLC trains for Europa Universalis IV and Crusader Kings II (although I think Holy Fury might be the last for CK II given the scope).

No single player campaign, they ruined zombies, new maps all suck, SMGs all suck, the camos suck, and the scorestreaks kind of suck too. Unless you're going to play Blackout save your money imo.

Bond, James Bond. Following up 2015's unexpectedly disappointing SPECTRE, comes the 25th installment in the iconic franchise. Unfortunately it doesn't look like they're casting Idris Elba as James Bond anytime soon. But the good news is that they finally settled on a director, Cary Fukunaga, known best for the riveting HBO show, True Detective. Per CinemaBlend, "Cary Fukunaga steps into a director seat that most recently was occupied by Danny Boyle...There was word that Boyle wanted to tell a standalone Bond story (still structured around Daniel Craig) that wou…

So I watched this recently. I thought I wasn't going to like it because it had a lot of negative hype around it and also it flopped...but it was actually ok? I mean it had problems and it was far from my favorite star wars movie but ehhh it was alright. Way better than TLJ anyway. As far as spin offs go Rogue One was superior if only because it actually tied the original series and the prequel together. Solo was a movie that no one asked for and never needed to happen.

Been watching this on Netflix although I think it's a Syfy show (damnit they hook me back every time only to break my heart) anyone else watching this? Maybe I enjoy it because I actually know almost nothing about original Van Helsing lore/cannon but it seems like an ok vampire/disaster show all things considered.

Is it Joaquin Phoenix? Matthew Mcconaughey? Gary Oldman? Is is Kate Winslet? Judy Dench? Meryl Streep? What do you think?

  17. I've been thinking about getting this game. Always been a fan of Neverwinter Nights 1&2 top-down Pen and Paper style RPG.

Has anyone played this? Monster Hunter: World released on PC earlier last month, and I have been eyeing it. Never played any of the prior Monster Hunter games, so I fear I might get bored of it and thus waste $60.

I know movies are fictional and normal rules don't apply. However, if a movie does not go out of it's way to explain how it's in-universe rules are different than normal rules, that falls into the suspension of disbelief...but there have to be limits. I first thought of this while watching the end of Jurassic World when the lose dinosuars (speficically the gaint predator fish one), was swimming along the (I guessed California, but could've been Hawai) coast about to munch on a surfer for lunch. A few things, firstly, depending on the time of year (not real context clues in the movie), the water off California is quiet cold, so large cold-blooded pr…

So far it's been a very excited World Cup - so many 2nd place group rankings up for grabs right now. James Rodriguez with the pass of the world cup? A lovely, if a bit undeserved, last minute winning goal from Kroos Modric shows patience and is rewarded with a beauty Mexico fans lose their sh*t and trigger an artificial earthquake It's harder to find good clips than I expected. Put 'em up if you got 'em.

  25. Hey everyone, I thought some of you would be interested in this Wheel of Time MMORPG. The last age ended like two weeks ago, and it was seriously one of the best in a very long time. Although the new age will be better because all the new players last age are experienced and ready to make some power moves. Anyway, wanted to know if anyone has played it before? and is anyone interested in joining the new age? "The wheel turns and a new age will soon come to be. Will you be a cargomaster sailing the seas or a farmer in the Plains of Maredo? Perhaps you will be heralded as the next tournament champion or perhaps you will use those skills to become a noto…

Watched this a few weeks ago and it was actually very good. Highly recommend it. Also IDK how historically accurate it is or not so if you're a history buff don't blame me if it deviates because I don't know. All I know is that it was an entertaining mini series.

  28. @Verbal32, @Nolder Magic: The Gathering Arena So this is a thing. From what I've played so far, it's significantly better representation of MTG than the F2P Magic Duels/Duels of the Planeswalkers video games. It's not MTGO, but it's being marketed as F2P with Pay to Advance? mechanics. (Sink money in opening new packs) It's currently limited to Just Standard Format Cards (It doesn't have Kaladesh Block, which hints it may not release until Kaladesh rotates out of Standard), It currently only has one Game Mode. Best of One. Eventually we are going to get Best of 3. And Draft options. I'm hoping for…

Saw it tonight... No spoilers, except both Superman and Wonderwoman die. Aquaman can no longer breathe underwater. Oh wait, that's the wrong universe... Honestly, I was disappointed. They did everything they could possibly do to make it EPIC<!!!> , and it was, but I was still disappointed. I will discuss after others have had the chance to see it. Until then -
