A while ago, a miscreant friend of mine called Paetric and I found a couple of fox head medallions. I forgot where I laid mine, but now I rememebered. As of now, I will be wearing it at all times, as shown by my new signature picture below, which I knocked up in about 5 minutes flat, and isnt my best work, but I feel it gets my message across. To help ease the pain, I added eye candy, a tactic I have generally found to be useful. After years of bullying and abuse, at last I am on level footing with all you Sedai types, for as long as I wear this signature. P.S- I'm serious about this.

Dragonmount is pleased to host fantasy author Saladin Ahmed for a week-long author Q&A session! Saladin Ahmed's debut novel, Throne of the Crescent Moon, released in February of this year, is gaining attention in the fantasy genre, particularly because of Mr. Ahmed's unique choice of setting. Last year, Saladin Ahmed was a guest podcaster on Brandon Sanderson's "Writing Excuses," Season 5 Episode 36. He has also been nominated for both the Nebula and Campbell awards. Saladin Ahmed will visit Dragonmount July 22nd - 28th to answer questions from fans. Everyone is welcome to join in. The discussion will take place on the General Discussion board. I hope you w…

The horse trotted into the courtyard to the Tower as if it had use all of its last bit of strength to carry the warrior that sat in the saddle leaned over its neck. As the animal came to a stop the man fell to the ground and the wolf pommelled sword skidded from his left had a few feet away, reflecting the sun across it's black blood soaked blade. the man was unconsciencous blood (most of it his own) and soot smeared across his taddered clothes. his eyes open but glazed as if death were upon him.

So, I was watching Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows last night with my friends, and I noticed... Sherlock seems to be in the Yellow Ajah. Huh. I would have pegged him for a White. But seriously. I've never seen a man wear a shawl like that before. And he wore it for a good portion of the movie, too. But it looks pretty good on him, I have to say.

"Lord Gawyn, it's good to see you again," Rand said. "Your sister Lady Elayne is a very confusing woman; she says one thing, and then contradicts herself in the very next statement." "My sister is none of your concern, Dragon," spat Gawyn, who looked at Rand scornfully. "Now I receive the opportunity to avenge my mother - fate is kind to me this day." "Mother, you must not let this match take place. Gawyn believes Rand killed his mother and wants nothing more than to kill Rand!" Egwene exclaimed. "Hush now child, the straws were drawn and all is in place," said Elgee. "However Rand Al'Thor, I must forbid you from channeling, as it would be against the spirit o…

The Fellowship is canoeing down a river? I get to go do that! Well not the same place as they filmed it but I am going on a canoeing trip. I thought of the reference not too long ago and have been making jokes about how we should have swords, arrows, awesome cloaks, etc. However I keep getting weird looks because of it. *sigh* So instead I thought to share my nerdiness with you guys. If you have any jokes, stories, etc that you'd like to share about LotR or to reference the one scene, go ahead!

Hear Ye, Hear Ye! *Posts a fancy letter on the announcement board.* The Amyrlin has declared a tournament in honor of summer. Some of the best and brightest Warders have been invited to participate in this very exciting event. Disclaimer all scenes are for flavor, and are my personal opinions for how they would go down in the books if this had been in the books. I will post links to the individual matches once they are all up.

On the way to the Kitchens for a bite to eat, you notice a corridoor you have never seen before. Glittering with soft candles and festooned with ivy, it curves away out of sight, yet you hear soft music, enticing you forward... Intrigued, you decide that the growls of your stomach can be ignored for the time being and you follow the corridoor, turning the corner to find a wide room (perhaps a disused store-room?) that has been gloriously transformed with red draperies covering the walls and fresh rushes and sweetgrass strewn on the floor. Twelve plinths of marble, each topped with a silk-shrouded statue, make a dodecagon in the middle of the room, at the centre of whi…

"Ok! Final match of round one, Elyas and Birgitte!", shouted Fnorrll. "Geez, you'd think he was yelling into a tavern filled with drunk recruits with that roaring," said Birgitte. "Well girl, I don't suppose that bow would do you much good in a one on one fight. I do hope you have a sword hidden somewhere on your person - you're gonna need it." "I don't do swords, I do use a dagger or two on occasion when the situation calls for it." "I'd go with two, the situation definately calls." "Sweety, you're no Gaidal Cain," Birgitte blurted... "Mother's milk in a cup, Birgitte you had to let him rile you up didn't you?!" Birgitte cursed under her breath. E…

'Been a long time since we've had a good spar," Sleete said to the man that approached him. "Aye, so it has Sleete, so it has." Lan replied. "The people here came to see a good show - what say we give 'em one for old times sake? I'm not much for these flashy events and neither are you but since the Amyrlin asked, we might as well give them something to enjoy." Sleet assumed the stance The Creeper Embraces the Oak, and Lan followed with The Leaf Floating on the Breeze. "I see you're not as eager as you were the last time we sparred, Sleete. Good, this should make for a right fine duel indeed." Lan advanced with Lightning of the Three Prongs, Sleete countered wi…

"Next!" Elgee called from her platform overlooking the field. Hammar and Gareth Bryne stepped up. "Ah, one of the five great generals!" Hammar exclaimed. "Now lets see if your skills in single combat match you battle tactics. "I hope to have an honorable duel, Hammar." "Honorable, there is a word not often used between swordsman. Enough talk, let's let our swords do the talking." The two exchanged blows, Hammar landed a minor hit to Gareth's side and Siuan snarled. "Now Siuan, that was a clean hit, don't take it out on him." "You should be paying more attention to me and less to your Aes Sedai, Gareth," Hammar said then cursed as he had to fend off sev…

Just for Ryrin *grins* Please note that you can now vote on your favourite Birgitte and Moiraine avatars, and continue making your Cadsuane ones. To recap: Misheru started a thread, Create your own Aes Sedai or Warder Avatar, which inspired this competition. Here's how it works: I will start a thread for a character, and we all make avatars for them, using this application (or any other you want): http://www.dolldivine.com/ You can make as many of each character as you want, and post them in that thread. They MUST be your own work, though, not a picture you found somewhere. If you can't get the link to work (I can't, for the life of me), host them on …

What question? More important, methinks, is what lunch? Well, with the help of Jenn (Kathana), I arranged to have a special lunch with Kate (Blue Aes Sedai lady) at Harriet's house. Yes, Harriet's house. We met up with Harriet, Maria, and Alan. They were gracious enough to give us a tour of the house, show us Senor Rigney's office where he did pretty much all of his work, and every edition of Wheel of Time in every language (which was a sight to see!). And the garden, which was beautiful. So, pretty awesome planning, if I say so myself. But it wasn't just lunch, as awesomely cool as I am that was. I also proposed to Kate. She said yes.…
