  3. Most of you know how this works. I'll post three words. Then another person posts three words, and so on, and eventually, we have a story. One spooky day

  4. What will it be?

  5. Happy Halloween! So as Halloween approaches, it's fun to recall festivities past. Is there a particular costume that you particularly enjoyed wearing or a specific party you attended that you recall fondly? Share these special memories with us.

  6. Started by LilyElizabeth,

Here in the White Tower! Come and enjoy the festivities of the season.

  7. Ok so traditionally Aes Sedai and Warders (?) drink tea. All kinds of tea. Favourite probably being Tremalking Black. There are whole long tables in all the Dining Rooms with all kinds of tea available to Warders and Aes Sedai and novices and algai and Accepted and Der'Manhima. But here's the thing ... with the Seanchan came Kaf, and Mother developed a liking to it. So Mother had a Kaf machine installed in her quarters, and sent her agents out far and wide to obtain Kaf for her, by any means. But after a while she started feeling bad about hoarding her limited stash of Kaf, so she brokered peace with the Seanchan (through the people who r…

Covid-19 positive, that is. I'm tired of not being able to breathe, or sleep properly, or lift a feather without being bone tired, and sneezing and coughing my lungs out ... but most of all I'm tired of sitting in the house. And now that I've had a good pity party, how's everyone else doing?

Would you want to be immortal? Why or why not?

  13. Started by Elgee,

So we as the White Tower & Warders would like to know how best we can attract, retain and serve our members. To that end, we have a few questions (and might have some more coming). Please help us by answering any or all of them as honestly and constructively as you can. What makes you post? What prevents you from going into areas that aren't strictly "yours", like maybe other Ajahs' boards? Would you like to participate in events? What kind of event would you like to participate in? Where do you think events should be advertised? (Ooh) Once upon a time I didn't give a damn But now here we are So what do you w…

  15. ? Yeah seriously. We've had our first earthquakes here in the Western Cape since the 6.3 one in Tulbagh from 1969 (109km / 68 miles from us). It was only a small 2.5 one last night and another 2.7 one this morning. They were quite close to us (both less than 50km / 31 miles) from us near Malmesbury (see map below) and Durbanville (nearer to us), but we're not used to this so didn't know what was happening! Thought the Nuclear Power Station had blown. The thing that scares us, is that we're right on top of the Milnerton fault line (see below), which had a 6.5 in 1809. We're about 1.2km East of Milnerton, just over the road marked 7 which goes north to Malmesbury…

  16. Started by Ryrin,

Maybe we have to wait for the Green's Halloween event. Hmm.

Where is everyone? Is the Corona Virus doing this, or something else? One would think that with people trying to avoid contact with other people, online traffic would increase. Talking of Corona ... how is it affecting you?

  18. As it says on the label. We're on stage 2 loadshedding (ie no power for 2h30m twice a day) and stage 3 lockdown. Or the other way round. Who the flaming buttered onions knows anymore? It means most days I can't even get on here. Be here when I can. Don't break too many novices. Algai are fair game.

  19. Started by Cross,

A very happy birthday amid this super crazy time! party!

  20. Started by Cross,

there's so much news, so many updates going around these days concerning the corona virus. it can be daunting, and often we find ourselves wanting an outlet to vent, to talk seriously, share, and get as many facts as we can get. while the Tower is a place of refuge, we'd me remiss to address a topic that's affecting literally everyone. the discussion of the virus, it's spread, news of what's expected, a break down of area's quarantines and expectations, as well as a thread to simply discuss the pandemic, is what this place is for. if you have questions, ask them. if you have answers, share them. if you need to share what you're going th…

  21. Started by Elgee,

I'm sure most of you have seen the various Ajah-named threads at the various Ajah Boards (and the Warders and Aspies), where people post pictures that make them think of those Ajahs / the Warders / Aspies? So here's one for the Amyrlin, Keeper and Mistress of Novices. Here's one to start us off with:

  23. Don't you just love those little word play's? I know I do, and I wanna make a collection of them all! So I'll start with the most obvious: The wheel weaves as the wheel wills.

  24. Started by Hayl3y,

You are all invited to Pride Month ❤️ Yup, all of you, lovely people! A little crew of DMers are organizing activities, games, threads to show support to the LGBTQ+ community. Here's the way !!!!

As the official chef of the Gray Ajah, I present to Mother and the members of the WT some dessert goodies! *channels in the buffet of dessert goodies* Hope you are all doing well! Please stay safe and healthy!

  26. I'm at a point in my journey where I started questioning my choice in track. It's the first choice you make in here, and I feel you do it basically blindfolded, some (that read the books first, lol) may choose the track they feel most connected to from the books. But I've been here long enough now, to realize the book tracks aren't nessesarily fully representative for WT/warder's tracks. So I figured this place needs a track discussion tread for all the lava's in this world.? -Why did you choose warder/Aes Sedai? -If you ever doubted your track, what made you stay in/leave the track? Discuss away!

  27. I find it fascination to compare the current situation in the world due to the Corona Virus, to the reactions of the characters in the 2 main series which we here on DM talk about, namely the WoT and ASoIF / Game of Thrones. To recap, in both there is a "The End of the World is Nigh" scenario. In WoT, it actually happens twice: firstly when the Dark One breaks free at the end of the Age of Legends, and then again in the "current" time in WoT (won't say more, because spoilers). There's not much information regarding the reactions of people in WoTs end of the Age of Legends, but as for the rest, the similarities with our current situation are fright…

Courtesy of https://wot.fandom.com/wiki/Aes_Sedai Well, we can't channel, but surely we're not completely useless either? The world needs help at the moment. Our friends, family, neighbours, colleagues, strangers ... many need help. We have fun here at Dragonmount, playing at being Aes Sedai and Warders. Could we do more? Could we BE more? What can we Aes Sedai and Warders do to help others at the moment? A list of practical ideas would be wonderful. Maybe we can make a bit of difference in someone's life. Go shopping for our elderly neighbour? (Leave the groceries by the door, though - after spraying it with sterili…
