I have this dress that I'm going to wear at Dragon*Con this year, in the parade. Keep in mind that I'll have my Amyrlin stole on over my shoulders. I need jewelry for it, so I've been browsing eBay tonight for pieces that might work. I'm feeling sort of exotic, so I'm looking at Indian tikkas especially. I dunno, I feel like I've done the tiara thing to death. I realize that you might not know what a tikka is, so here is an example of one being worn. I love, love my Google desktop. Not only does it have every SINGLE file, email and google search I've ever done indexed, but it has aaaaall these other cool features. The sidebar is awesome. Its got a box for my email accounts, so I can see my email without actually checking my box. I've got a scratch pad for notes. My google calender will pop up with reminders and I can plug RSS feeds into my webclips box. I've got my google chat anchored there, plus I have this hilarious cartoon fishbowl. The blue one keeps turning into Darth Vader and attempting to take over. So, so awesome. Everyone must get this now.

not exactly sure who is in charge no more lol but here is my question and hopefully someone can answer it. i was wondering if it would be possible to start a poetry corner, where someone writes in their poem, and we have a discussion on it, try and figure out what that person was goin through, why they wrote the poem and what it means to everyone, what does it make them think of or feel, then once we are done with that one, someone else writes in a poem and we start the process all over again. i think it might be a good way to get to some of us a lil better. get a better insight on how we think.

Sorry to all for the extended and unexplained absense. We had some internet problems followed by some other problems. In short a real mess. My school does something called "Exhibition Night" periodically. Its a night to show off all the learning we've done for the term and and boost confidence in our unique programs. My sixth graders are studying the Renaissance and Reformation right now. As part of our studies, I assigned them each a historic character from that time period that they had to research. For Exhibition Night, they had to come up with a costume, food and write a paper describing their person. Two of my boys were assigned Henry VIII and Charles V & I. Emmie runs costume events for me at Dragon*Con and she has found a really top notch seamstress to sew original dresses for this contest. They'll be custom fit to your measurements, professional quality, and each dress will be about $200.
