Dhjorn had come a long way. He began his journey in the blight, on the traditional night of his and Calaun's meeting. Each had spent time in the fortress of the dreadlords, and each had learned much. Calaun had even taught a group of the channelers about their species, her amused as she compared the bunch to Trollocs. Dhjorn had learned something deeper though, as he learned his letters, and made his way through the library. There was a group of humans who specialized in assassination, the best that the shadow had to offer. The Shar Mahdi. Once he learned of this dark guild, he made it his mission to seek them out. He asked around, getting the names of t…

Hello fellow Wolfies! Some of you may know me from the Community side where I'm the assistant Org Leader for the Wolfkin. In real life, I'm also a Ph.D. student at the University of California, Riverside. I'm currently working on a paper about the relationship between role-playing and authorship and I'd like to interview people here at DM about their experiences. I will keep all answers confidential and quote people anonymously in my paper (Player A, Player B, etc.). If you're interested, just send me a PM or e-mail me at jkave001@ucr.edu and I will send you the questionnaire. Thank you! Ar'tara Wolfkin (Comm)

Shadow walker knelt in the dirt on his knees, his head hung down facing the ground. Two shadows stoped to stand over him, as he knelt helpless in pain. He heard a woman's voice, "ohhh Can we keep this one?" It was hard to tell through the headache, but he thought she was wearing an alarming amount of the color red, but he could not bring himself to care. The other woman was looking over him, it reminded him of how you would look over a horse before a long journey. "Yes I think we can find a place for this one", she said to the other woman next to her. "It is a hard life here, but it is a life. You will work, and you will train. We have ranks here mayb…

Okay, I know I'm probably overdue for a promotion/weapon score upgrade. Heck, I don't even know what my rank and weapon score are right now, but I know I've done a lot of RP threads and weapons training lately and I was wondering where I'm sitting at right now for my WS and rank? If someone could calculate that for me...

Poetic Death no more speach, but their souls are screaming when life is taken, the soul will rise no more heart beat, but the fire is alive from warm flesh, to a lifeless cold no more sight, but they can see the sorrow eyes are closed, but truth burns through no more life, but my memory is full friends are gone, but memory be true The battle was over. Death scattered the playing field like broken chess pieces that could no longer be given name to. Her eyes carefully turned and looked over each face. It was all a blur to her in more ways than just her eyes. The glass that once settled on the bridge of her nose was shattered on the g…

ooc ok bored and tried to get something started before, but never quite got something going...this is a mainplot one as i figure could be fun, so it would be in the winter and allow chars to know of or have heard of recent events M'bela stepped gracefully into the dream, she was wearing a copy of the cape she had recently bought as her favorite had been lost in the fight with the black tower. What had they been thinking, she wasnt sure, there had been losses of course, but with the chosen on their side it had been but a mather of holding the black dressed men back till reinforcements could arive. Maybe it was good though, maybe if the news spread it would finaly be …

I have created an rp in rev one. It is based on the first years of the white tower, and the aes sedai, im looking for warders, aes sedai, of any ajah even black. I would like this to be a basic hunt and back and forth between the sisters of light, and dark, but that is not set in stone, it can branch in any direction.

There, I said it. I've missed writing alot and though I have ventured in and out of boards I have always kept an eye on Dragonmount where I began my RP writing all those many years ago. I think alot has changed though and I would love to learn what has changed and to find the answer to this big question: Who do I send my bio of Fawne Namere to, so I can start stalking Matalina for some awesome joint writing again? She is a novice in the White Tower now, or at least I hope I can start here there. :) Oh and ahh...remember me? :D

Well my character needs someone to train with since he just got himself burned on the hands. I was gonna have him develop his own fighting style so that he doesn't have to use his hands to attack. I was going to structure it heavily around Muay Thai. It would be more of the group learning new things rather than a training so you don't have to have hand to hand experience, he just needs someone to work with.

Standing at her window on the Northern most side of the palace Kabria stared towards the direction of the Blight, her eyes transfixed. In the two days since they’d reached Fal Moran she done nothing but pace these rooms and study every old book about Aridhol the Librarian had been able to put in her hands. Even Perivar had taken to reading, if only for a lack of nothing better to do. When she was in a mood like this he wouldn’t leave her side, and as beautiful as he seemed to think she was even watching her pace could on sustain a man so long. Kabria could feel his eyes now, like a gentle caress on her soft skin, but the worry she felt through the bond negated all other e…

"In ancient times, Magik coursed over the land, directed by those few humans who had mastered its flow. In directing this flow of Magik, human kind split it into five parts, each with control over an element; earth, air, water, fire and spirit. Though the numbers of those who could use Magik were small, even fewer had any affinity with more than one element. Those who could guide the flow of Magik became known as Guardians and powerful Guardians were asked to join the Council of Magik." This is the beginning of our land, and we must fight to keep it. Only 23 years after the Great War things are starting to boil again. With the people of Lighthouse wanting to go back …

Hello everyone ! Since I've found myself a bunk in the barracks, I'd guess it'd be time to begin training. Some topics about that are already on their way and I wouldn't want to interrupt. So I'm looking for a Warder/TG that would be willing to supervise me and anyone in my situation, who would be much welcome... In conclusion : Open roleplay for training under the careful eyes of a mentor wanted... Still, where should I begin ? Basic movements and fitness ?

OOC: To complete the set, all you need to do is post once here (and in Class III if you haven't posted there yet). This thread will remain Open after that for those that want to finish the test, but all i'd need is one correct answer after which you can consider this Req done. More posts are of course encouraged, though not mandatory ;) IC: Jerinia was grinning as she waited for her students to arrive. Much like in her last class, she had had some things brought in again, only this time there would be a sponge in a bucket of water standing next to every desk, including her own. She studied the sheet of parchment that was on her desk again, describing the test sh…

I guess the next step is to find someone to teach What it Means to be Aiel. Taking you to WS9, you will learn about life and survival in the Threefold Land. You will learn customs and a little about the weapons you will wield for the rest of your life. Basic training with the spears will follow, as well as defensive work with the bucklers. *looks around for Ghaul*

The metropolis of Tar Valon was unlike anything a little farm girl had ever experienced before. There were shops that sold food and buildings called banks were people put their money; there were a half dozen inns and taverns within spitting distance. Men and women bathed together in buildings specifically for that purpose and there were brothels if one wandered down the wrong streets. Shops sold food, tools, jewellery, trinkets, and clothes—anything one wished for was available. Buskers performed on corners, hats out for money, bumping elbows with beggars who left out similar, if more grungy, hats. People didn’t bother to stop and chat with one another; they simply w…

The noises around her were foreign to her ears. The feel of the pouch of coins clutched in her hand was unfamiliar. The dance-like movements of the people around her were strangely transfixing. The concept of women wielding swords alongside men was unheard of in Braden’s Hill. Addi felt lost in the sea of sweating bodies. The Tower stood high in front of her, but despite its proximity, her dreams of white dresses were totally unattainable. She had spent so long imagining the things she’d be able to do as an Aes Sedai; now that they were impossible, she no longer knew what to do. With no other options, she would not return defeated to her run of the mill life in…

Carina's mother used to be a Blue Aes Sedai, before she burned herself up in a fight in the Blight defending other sisters and such. Then left to live a secluded life with her Warder/Husband in Baerlon. Carlina knows nothing of her parent's past, as they both died when she was 5. Her mom succumbed to the loss of Saidar and her father succumbed to the loss of his wife, though they managed to hang on for quite some time due to the love they had for each other, their surroundings and later their child. Carina is the spitting image of her mum and it was a Blue sister that recognised the look in her which caused her to want to test the girl. That then lead to Carina being sent…

Well... The time has come to shed a light on a little secret i've been keeping from you all. As with most stories, i feel i will need to start at the beginning for this one. Once upon a time, in the days of 24k4 modems, there were things called MuDs, text based adventure games that could be played online. These were the predecessors of the current MMO game genre, but i disgress. During my days at (the equivalent of) High School i came in touch with these games, and started playing a couple. As i was new to the concept of detailed character creation (RPG, but you could pick race, class, gender, stat distribution et al, really detailed for that time), my first ch…

Walking into the busy hallways outside the Classroom, Satin paused to think about Saidar and it's wonders. Oh, she knew about it, of course. But did she ever think once about using it, let alone having it? Her life was set up to where she would join her Father at the Barrister's office and work along side him. She looked at her shoes, followed up to her hem. The starkness of her dress signified her life, now. Suddenly she was shoved forward and nearly fell over. Behind her stood that sad Novice who just couldn't stand it that she could channel. Poor creature. She doesn't realize how handy this is going to be for her.... "Allrianne, its a surprise to me that you …
