  1. Started by Neira,

Racelle rolled over sleepily and put her head on Dashiva's shoulder. The room was a bit more than warm, and her shift stuck to her. It had managed to bunch up above her knees in the night. She had hardly slept at all. She knew she was keeping him awake, and her assumption was affirmed when he turned toward her. She contented herself laying beneath his chin, relishing, as always, at his touch. It was no longer unusual for Dash to cuddle with her, and tonight Racelle needed it. Kisses were still rare, but cuddling become more frequent to Racelle's delight. Carefully, testing her luck, she tilted his head down to her with a finger and kissed his lips.

The din of the tavern seemed to move on in its chaotic orchestra around Serena and the couple she sat across from. The woman across from Serena's mouth moved as she protested the Blue sisters petition. The words no longer mattered. Obviously, no wife of a predominant member of the Children of the Light would want their child to be able to channel. However, such was the way with this woman's child. "Child," Serena snuck in a word here and there. The woman seemed to hate being called a Child, but that is what she was to the Aes Sedai. In truth, and all actual fact, the woman was probably the age of what Serena's grandchildren's grandchildren would be, if she had any. "…

On the western edge of a small village, Ihvaron sits his horse and stares blankly around him. It has been three weeks since he watched his sister tortured and murdered, three weeks since he woke up in The Tangled Roses Inn, two since he left and the memories are still fresh, making his eyes burn with tears every time he closes them, his ears ring with her screams and cries for help when he tries to sleep, which explains why he looks like he hasn't slept in weeks, he barely has and on the occassions that he did, it was most often in a hayloft. Where he sits atop his horse, Raidin, his current pace would have him in Shol Arbela in roughly five days or Fal Moran in seven…

Blowing a few stray strands away from her face, Lillian clipped another twig clear and tossed it in the basket beside her. It was a warm day if slightly overcast, that was to say that she didn't require a cloak to keep her warm. Not with the work that kept her moving about at least. The gardens needed pruning so that when the spring came they would bloom to their full potential. Of course, that meant that manpower, or rather, novicepower, was required to see the work done. Much like most things that needed doing in the White Tower, it was done on the backs of Novices. Personally, Lillian couldn't be happier about it. She had gloves for her hands unlike when she …

  8. Lila had agreed to keep the children today. And bring them back to the inn for dinner. And Cari would try to talk Fawne into joining them, provided she could find the girl. The Siren's Call was as she remembered it and Cari was not at all looking forward to being here, but this was Fawne's home and Cari knew she'd show up here eventually. Cari only hoped she would not run into Alex's lover, Elia. That was a highly sore spot still in her moving on. Alex had, why couldn't she. Cari sighed as she took a seat. No one would recognize the former warder unless they knew Matalina well. And those people were few and far between, and most of them were long gone from…

Terren opened the heavy wooden doors and stepped into the Library of the White Tower. It had been quite a while since he had been in here, but he had used to spend lots of time wandering the shelves, perusing the books that lived here. He had met one or two browns in here, too, that he remembered as good friends. He quickly made his way to his favourite spot, and sat in his chair, a book on his lap, but he didnt open it yet. Instead, he simply closed his eyes, his hands touching the worn leather cover of the book, his nostrils slightly flared, taking in the smell of old paper and leather. He did like it in here. So quiet, so peaceful. As usual when he hadn't actua…

  10. Shanara dismounted from the horse she'd been allowed to use in front of the Gates of the White Tower. She looked upwards in awe. Surveying what she could from the bottom of the Steps, she was more and more dumbstruck every minute. How in the world did anyone manage to build something that tall? Of course, she'd seen Whitebridge, in Andor, but the width of that simply didn't compare to... the sheer height of this monstrosity of a bone needle. A sudden tap on her shoulder brought Shan out of her reverie. Smoothing her navy divided skirts anxiously, she turned to face an elaborately coiffed Aes Sedai wearing a low-cut, forest colored, full-skirted dress (as was the latest f…

  12. Mehrin could tell that the day was going to be a good one, and the sun hadn't even gotten half its height above the horizon. He had just left his office, a note hanging from the door telling anyone who had business with him to go see Amon. If Mehrin knew the other man, there'd probably be a similar sign on his door sending them to him. He had commandeered a bit of the training grounds near the wall for today's training. Ebony was no slouch when it came to her fighting prowess, and to get a closer look at the two working would require dodging around the rest of the groups training in the area. Hopefully that would discourage spectators. Drawing his claymore, Mehri…

  15. Sighing, Cavana rubbed her eyes slightly as she walked up the stairs, a tight package of books under her arms. She was going to have to put a stop to their books being lent out to novices and accepted. Yet another four books had been borrowed from their herb department, and after being missing for a month, Cavana had gone to the library to find them there. If the girls wanted to use their books, then they had to come to the infirmary and stay there while they worked. Furthermore, how had the Brown Ajah not noticed the Yellow Flame on the spine of every book that belonged to the Yellow Ajah? It was as though the browns had gone a step further than being thoughtless an…

The bed seemed harder than usual. Nona had told her that she should go to bed early- early starts needed early nighters. They had agreed on it quite peacefully, like they usually did, with a nod and a smile and a few last words before one toodled off. Except, this night was just a little different. They had both known of course, that the agreement was complete and utter rubbish. She was not going to sleep and Nona was certainly not going to trust her to be safely cuddled in bed either. Suspicion had been let loose like any of Nona’s poisons in Adela’s veins, keeping her awake, keeping her distracted. It was not like her to get so consumed by one thing and one thin…

I realized I hadn't posted this up so people could see where we are going with the rp. -Ravhin sends a female envoy to the Dragon Reborn in Cairhein’s Sun Palace -Ravhin asks for a temporary alliance against other chosen, the two will not attack each other until the other chosen are destroyed, and might possibly help one another achieve said goal (teaching, team up against the others?) -Long discussion ensues and Jarron will not agree with anything that comes from a Darkfriend. -Ravhin’s envoy threatens the Dragon Reborn with the death of friends. Jarron still refuses to agree. Mentions the Dragon’s weakness for women. Dragon Reborn still says no, Ra…

  20. Fiery red curls whipped about Lavinya's face, stirred into life by the breeze coming from the river as she looked over the bridge railing at the docks. She was listless, a recurring situation of late, and the quiet of her apartments, coupled with the roaring of her own thoughts had become oppressive, leading her away from the White Tower, into Tar Valon. The Great Serpent ring on her delicate finger glinted in the sunlight, labelling her as Aes Sedai, should anyone miss the ageless features or regal poise. She possessed no shortage of arrogance, hence she never left the tower looking anything but immaculate, perfection on the outside, from her hair, smooth complexion…

There were few things in life that daunted Aramina sur Dulciena these days. In face, she was rather excited to get up every morning and kept her days as busy as possible, often falling to sleep at her desk late in the night. She was a Sister of the Green Ajah now. Truely a Sister, with a right to the Green shawl that Sirayn had given to her herself. More than that, after all her work to gain the shawl, Sirayn had seen something in her after all, something worth holding onto and perhaps even teaching. It had been more than Aramina could have dreamed of. She wouldn't go so far as to say she was in Sirayn's good graces, but they understood each other, she felt. …

Shawn was still adjusting to life as a Tower Guard. There was more responsibility, and surprisingly less oppurtunity for personal training. He was frustrated. He was proud to serve the Aes Sedai but if he couldn't train to improve himself he wouldn't be of much use to them. All he wanted was some time to himself, some time to improve his skills so he could better serve the sisters. Yet, instead of having the time to himself that he needed, he was given more work immediately after he got off duty. He'd been walking past Vasya's office on his way to dinner when he was called in. It seemed the Captain wanted a message delivered. A simple letter to be delivered to …

  23. Kedyn shifted nervously in Arrow's saddle as the column of soldiers spread along the main road of the Citadel waited for the Ashaman at their front to make these gateways. It wasn't as if he didn't believe these things could happen but....Kedyn had a tendency to be suspicious from his time as a Scout and he had only heard storied of these gateways and yet to see one. This would be the first tour of the Black Tower that the Band had created the deal between the two entities. Moving by gateway would be faster as well as create less suspicion, but Kedyn also had ideas that it would be a way for the Black Tower to show what they could do. These gateways had been a large r…

Sunlight filtered through the filmy curtains casting an ethereal glow about her quarters. Small particles dancing and flitting throughout the beams brought about a realization. Her rooms were in need of a sound cleaning and the Brown sister simply did not have the heart to do it herself. She did not really have the heart to let a novice or servant into her private sanctuary either, but that was better than having to complete the loathe task herself. Considering it was nearing the end of spring and time for her annual sojourn to Cairhein, the cleaning could be accomplished quite efficiently by the time she returned. Yes, the trip would take at least a fortnight if not m…

"Keep going Ursana! Thats it lad, keep it up!" Cheering Ursana on as the lad did another lap of the track, Aran stretched forward to his toes before laying back against his Faith. Tree was always there when he needed it, always willing to support him and shelter him. Now that was real faithfulness. He was sure that Ursana was far from happy with the arrangement, thinking that Aran should be sweating it out with him. Of course, Ursana had a very skewed idea of fairness as well, something he was working on as it were. Besides, it gave him a chance to think. It had been an interesting week, especially with how things were between him and Cairma. They remained …

Scrunching the note that he'd been given, the look on Aran's face was all that was sour. Damn Ginae, damn her and damn her again, if she thinks she's funny she's going to get another lession. He had just been informed that he had a new student, something which he wasn't looking forward to at all. Granted, it wouldn't be quite so bad because it would be Rosh's little brother, there were plenty of things he could do with that, but the very principle of being responsible for a student annoyed him. Looking up at the lad, Aran realised that Ursana and he had never really spoken before. Then again, Aran had a distinct suspicion that Rosh's hand had been behind that. No…

Green eyes swept across the black velvet expanse over head; noted the twinkle of a thousand stars. Their appearance was that of diamond chips drawing the wandering eye in wonder and bewilderment. So much beauty and vastness created in a sweeping moment by the creator’s hand. Corin’s eyes finally came to rest on a moon almost full and low on the horizon. The thin film of chimney smoke where it sat made it take on a blood red tinge drawing a sardonic smile to the young guards face. The creator had so easily brought forth the vast wonders and beauty of the night; yet that same night held a deep rooted evil. An evil that continued to grow; to gain strength against them. H…
