  1. AURIN Eyota walked to the clearing where he and Solomon had so long ago began the training that would lead his young friend to becoming a full wolfbrother; and tonight was the last step he must take in order to achieve his long sought goal. “Tonight is your final night of training; assuming you can make it through. We’ve spent a lot of time in the dream, and tonight you’ll have to use all your skills in order to see the dawn break over the mountains once again. Follow me.†Eyota stealed himself for what was to come next, gathering his will to himself and focusing his mind. He lead Solomon to a river bed; it ran with only a trickle of water. Eyota fixed the …

Okay this is long overdue, so here we go... I want people to post up with the classes they have completed (unless you are full Asha'man, in which case I'll just assumed you've completed everything, so it's just for the lower ranks). Only completed, mind you, not the ones you are currently doing. Or the ones that you have yet to do. Just the ones that you've finished. It would be nice if you can provide links, or the class instructor who can vouch for you having completed the class, also. Furthermore, those of you who TEACH classes, I would like you to tell me what classes you have taught through to completion. So this applies to full Asha'man as well as to Dedi…

Though she could not see them in the distant sky as she walked Tiassale knew they were there and that by the end of the afternoon the Green Ajah training field would be little more than a mud pit. She had pulled on her stoutest pair of boots this morning and her dress was plain green wool, well cu…

IC: Nynaeve rolled her eyes at the trainee that was sitting in front of her. "Sadrick, this is the forth time this month you've visited the infirmary. I can understand an accident but this is getting too frequent for my taste. Training is one thing but getting wounded every other day is a totally different story. Next time I just might let you heal the old fashion way. And I trust you would not like that." Sadrick's eyes bulged for a moment, but his expression remained stony for the rest. He was progressing quite well in his training. He already had the pig headed nature of a Warder. "No, Aes Sedai", was all he said. Nynaeve could see a touch of amusement in his eyes…

The slash…†Ram’s blade whistled through the air, and his body moved with the assuredness obtained from long hours of practice as he made a neat slash. “…the three different kinds of cuts

  6. Estel Isha stood in the courtyard on his home waiting for his two mentees to return from their breakfast at the inn. While Vykor had already been there a few days, Noy had only arrived yesterday, yet the two were becoming fast friends. Leaning against the house, the Asha’man wondered whether these two would learn as quickly as he had. It was so much easier when the students were willing, and though Noy was Amadician, the boy seemed eager enough. Vykor, however, had a more fervent reason to learn to control the Power he was able to wield. ’You’re going to teach more men to touch Tainted saidin’ Isha was having trouble discerning whether these thoughts…

Well folks as you may or may not be aware, the Divisions across the DRPSW are putting on week-long "Bubble of Evil" RPs in which they have the opportunity to showcase the writing talent within their Division. Our showcase will begin on the 30th of April (a Sunday), so make sure you keep an eye out for it! The first RP, conducted by the Aiel, has already begun. Have a look at it at http://www.dragonmount.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1702 The Band's RP will be the next to begin, and then we are next! Ginae had sent Talyn a note telling him of his new trainee. Talyn was always eager to help out a new bird. He found it extremely odd that he was teaching fledglings how to fly that he would have to fight. The Last Battle was drawing near and the Great Lord would triumph, but here he taught the light fools how to fight, the irony of the situation. Talyn waited by a fence post for Maldrin to report. He'd sent him a note to meet him at this specific fence post under the largest tree in the yard. It would be interesting to see the new lad find him, and see how he walked around, looking lost or looking confused. But Talyn was surprised when he knew the lad he was to …

Hello all- I wanted to post some proposed weaves I had been thinking about for a while now and see if there was a way they would be available for RPing with. Here we go- Look Away- Low level blanket of Compulsion. The weave is set up to briefly touch the minds of those in an area and have something else catch their attention, have them look at something else, or focus intently on what they are doing- allowing the channeler to walk among then without their minds registering that they have seen them. Requirements- Air 3, Earth 3, Fire 3, Spirit 5, Water 3 Skill 17. Stone Strike- A bar made of many tightly woven strands of Earth and Spirit lances out and …

He nodded to many of the Tower Guards that he new, stopping to say a few short words with some. Though he was heading out of Tar Valon to take another Tower Guards, an Orion Mantier, mentee outside for a little survival training. An Accepted two, Alric was thrilled. Since his raising he had come to enjoy spending time around those who could channel despite his Tairen upbringing. 12. OOC: The stone dogs are a little different than the other Societies. We're doing our initiation into the society before the warrior training. Since you wish to be a Stone Dog and all are taught to fight from a young age I'm working under the assumption that your character has already learned all of the basic fighting skills. Your actual "Training" which will occur after your initiation will be society specific and help to advance your weapons score as advertised in the Aiel Policy post. So without further ado much of this post is simply you writting. If you look in the Off Site boards under the stone dogs there is a link with an Outline of the Initiation. I will reply sh…

  13. OOC: I forget which weapon you chose as your primary, please let me know and we'll move on from there. Talyn waited for Estel on the side of the practice yards. He watched the light fools duel and wondered if any of them really knew they were on the losing side of the war. They called it a War with the Shadow, but from his eyes it was the War with the Light. It was odd how perspective changed things. Talyn tried to keep that in mind when he trained this pretty woman and others who were under his wing. It was all perspective and they knew no better. Talyn was not sure which weapon he would be teaching Estel today, as he had not been there for her to choose, she had…

  14. Started by Leona,

Seeing Alex again after such a long time, and the feeling that she had finally forgiven him, no finally realising that there was nothing to forgive, made Leona remember the days when he was her trainer in the Yards. And that she never had resumed her training after returning from the Farm. At first because she hadn't been allowed any priviledges, and later on her studies had been too demanding. After her Raising and Alex's return she just avoided the Yards, it felt strange how she had always been afraid to see him again. In hindsight it had been something very un-Aes Sedai-like. The sun was standing high up in the sky when Leona walked towards the Yards. She had made …

Talking to Owen before Easter made me realize, I don't really know where I left off in Erik's training.. or what level of Kin he was. He was doing both Tracker and Ranger training. Wanted to be a Tracker. Went with Moony and found.. somebody.. So he's that far in training. Was with the Ranger group that saved butt in MoM. Been raising hell in Caralain  Beyond advanced level stuff, other than the Dream (Owen going a-wall and turning to the Dark Side was a happy enough experience), would anyone know, or would anyone have a decent suggestion for where I should start in still becoming a Tracker? Should I start back at square one? Could I still do Range…

  16. Marak Read This - Ok, this RP is not open. If you guys want to change roles, do it now. I know most of you won't be active 'till New Year, and I'm ok with that. However, in January, the following rules apply. 1 - If you can't RP more than once a week, get someone to NPC your character, and instructions on doing so. We have too many people to let one hold things up. Otherwise, the next person to have a bit of spare time on their hands NPCs your character. By posting in this RP, and going through with this, beyond your introductory post, you agree to this. 2 - We haven't got the entire plot set out perfectly yet, thus, the battles at the end aren't set, except f…

  17. She glided through the darkness and grime, somehow a part of each and above both. The small squeals and tiny red eyes peering at her from shadows did not distress her. On the contrary, she smiled benevolently, a motherly urge swelling in her breast. Even here the Dark Lord’s eyes were coming forth, being born and dying to serve him. A sharp rodent scream rent the silence....and even here the cream of those “eyes†rose to the top while the rest provided fodder for those that proved stronger. What an interesting analogy, she thought idly, pushing a door open and brushing her hands in distaste at the dust. Perhaps she would share the thought with another of the Cho…

It is said that insanity waits for some, and that it creeps up on others. In the end, none can really say which was more fitting when discussing the fate of Tren Kadavere, Tren Reaver. All that can be said for sure is insanity finally caught him, and became his undoing. Fal Dara. As Tren entered the gates, his eyes began searching for signs of other Darkfriends, but above all, a nice alley. Night was falling, and Tren did not have the money to pay for a room for the night. Glancing at his tattered and filthy self, he chuckled and said to himself, "What self-respecting innkeeper would let me stay, anyway?" Tren wasn't surprised when he didn't see any of the si…

She stood over the bed, misty and wavering, one hand resting on the bedstead, the other gripping an amber rod angrily. Her blue eyes were measured and considering as she watched the bed’s occupant toss lightly against the heavily starched sheets. In a chair beside the bed another woman stirred restlessly, a sword at side. A silent gesture from Lanfear calmed the woman’s dreams and the Chosen moved closer to seat herself at the edge of the bed. They’d woven heavily with Spirit and Water in an attempt to repair the damage she’d done. Even as the Aes Sedai slept the weave worked over her ravaged features, soothing and repairing. She really was quite beautiful, L…

She knew that she should say something to the Mistress of Novices, but nothing would come out. How had they decided to come for her so soon? Wasn’t there some sort of notice they gave that you were reaching an end to your life as you knew it? “The Light keep you whole and see you safe.†Faerzyne Sedai said, breaking Aramina’s frozen moments. “Yes, Aes Sedai.†She said as she took a deep breath and left the safety of the library table and it’s familiar contents. There had rarely been a time in his life when Ursana Than Sakhr felt like things were out of his control. His life had been exactly what he wanted, where he wanted, and everything had fallen in just as he had expected it to. Until, of course, Tar Valon and Rosheen. Well, Rosheen had always been the one thing that went against his nicely placed life. Somehow in avoiding a meeting with his sister, he had managed to get attacked, healed, left in Tar Valon and had... in a still confusing and life altering moment... found himself signing up to train to be a Tower Guard. Maybe that was the reason he had always avoided Rosheen. She made things happen that you never ex…

The training was tougher than he'd expected, and progression came slower than he'd hoped, but his determination saw him through. He'd started this day much like any other, with a fitness routine that was now a force of habit, something his body would begin most mornings without conscious thought. This fitness routine was slightly different than what his mentor Corin had originally assigned him. Not that he'd lessened his assignment, he had in fact added to it, incorporating swimming to keep a slim tone on the muscles he was developing, and also working in some additional s…

Just a day ago, Rosheen had been fully convinced that she would never be one of the chosen few. It hadn’t been all that hard to reach that conclusion. Rosheen was irrational, something she managed to prove in just about any situation. She had been caught doing things without thinking more than once. All in all she just didn’t think she was Master material. It wasn’t that she hadn’t tried, but… well, it seemed that it just wasn’t there. Her sense of responsibility was thwarted more than once by her desire to join in the fun here and there. It didn’t matter. She hadn’t particularly cared. Not attaining the rank of Blade Master didn’t make her a lesser pers…
