Attention, Band of the Red Hand! The gauntlet has been thrown down by the Freelanders, and we shall rise to pick up that gauntlet and hand it back to them with as little dignity as possible! I made a silly little joke, completely innocent and without any sort of malicious intent beyond what I always feel, and the response was treated as a threat, and defenses were raised. Seriously. Nothing to do with me being slightly deranged. Stop looking at me like that. Anyway, we are now honor-bound to show those weirdos with the Freelanders that the Band is the first and last name in war on the RP side! Let the raid on the Freelanders commence! (Please …

Please post your LoA's here, for easy reference. You can still make your own thread anywhere you like, but I'd like to keep a short list here so we don't have to go hunt it down ;) I ask that this thread not be spammed.

Arcon burst through the doors of his old rooms in the fortress, his mind in a flurry. So much to do, so much time wasted in between the two… He rummaged through his things, searching for a specific silk outfit. Dress the part, afterall. How many contacts have I lost up here? I know I will always have Shadar, but who may have forgotten me? What upstarts don’t know who I am? He sighed, finally taking a moment to organize his thoughts. It had been a very long time since he had returned to the Fortress. --- “Greetings father, I hope you’ve been well?” The elder man turned to face his son, a far more stout image of himself, aged fifty years. He hadn’t aged nearly as w…

I realize that we need to have a talk here about the RP reports. You are all adults and I shouldn't have to come after you EVERY month to get them done. I know some of you are better at it then others, but you know when the reports are due, and this month took far longer then usual for them to go up, which only seemed to happen AFTER I posted around my FB and the RP account on FB to get them done. I don't know for sure if that had anything to do with the postings, but it seemed too. Now before we fight over the fact that you guys have lives I know you do, I know how busy things can get. I get it I really really do. However, you need to realize how frustrating it is to hav…

Coming up to the entrance of the tavern, Arkin's common grin danced to his lips. Ah, taverns. Taverns, Inns, Bars and Hells, they were his domain. They combined his talents and gleeman upbringing with his favoured activities of drinking and ogling barmaids. Well, there were some other activities he enjoyed with barmaids as well. His grin widening, Arkin stepped up to the door and let himself in. The first thing that he noticed was that there was a distinct lack of decent entertainment on terms of music and dancing. He'd have to fix that...but not tonight. Tonight, he just wanted to drink and observe the crowd. He needed to figure out his audience before he could even…

Now that I have your attention, I have an RP idea for my Freelander character. He is being subjected to incredibly vivid nightmares courtesy of a Dreadlord Dreamwalker who has taken a special interest in him. So, the plan is for him to come to the Tower and ask about the dreams. Any Dreamwalkers, dream specialists, or Brown Ajah interested in this one?

OOC: Continued from this thread. It was raining, and there were still several hours yet to walk, but Mehrin stepped to the side of the road going north from Tar Valon and surveyed the city with eyes somewhere between brown and maroon, shuddering under his long black leather greatcoat. He had been to the city once before, and it was likely that there was still bad blood between him and some of the residents, but he had no choice but to return. The nightmares were becoming ever stranger, and he needed answers. Unfortunately, that meant Aes Sedai. Mehrin felt no animosity towards the women of the White Tower, but having met a couple Aes Sedai in his life, he had g…

I've been around, but I've been having a case of writer's block. I've tried several times to reply where needed, but nothing's coming from it. So, in order to make myself feel better, not to mention maybe liven things up a bit, I'm wondering what you guys do to get over writer's block.

We need to shape up. Our activity levels are dropping by the month, as are our members, active role players and role plays. As staff, our first responsibility is to provide and generate activity. Some are doing more than can be expected of them (bless you!), but sadly others are not doing their part (including myself). I am not going to point fingers here - that is not what this thread is about. I want to draw the line under the past, and hopefully start everyone off with a clean slate. So, as matters stand now the following people are White Tower Role Playing staff: Elgee, Rasheta, Amadine, Whitewolf, Kathleen, Keyholder, Mystica, Nyanna & Poetstorm. Our…

Evelyn sat on the ground in the training yard, meditating. It was becoming more and more of a habit for her to have private sessions with one recruit at a time, instead of a group, because recently recruits seemed to trickle in, rather than arrive in chunks. And it was starting to irritate Evelyn to no end. Not that she didn't take joy in breaking recruits, but it seemed to be more enjoyable in a group formation. When it was a one on one lesson, taking out her student meant the lesson would have to be prolonged further for it to be finished. Not an optimal outcome. So she waited until the set time she was told to be there. She eyed passerbyes, wondering when her stude…

Emily and I were disscussing the requirements just a few days ago (unless of course Em wants to hide and have no part in this stuff being brought up, in which case it was all me <.<) Anywho, we bascially came to the conclusion that the goal of having requirements is to give the new members some experience and the foundation of RPing before we let them run wild. To that end we disscused having the following requirments: 1) Meet the MoN: It lets them get their first nerves of 'what am I doing' explored in a setting where there character would be doing the same, making it an easy rp to do. Plus the structure of it gives them some good experience writing ba…

IC: Evelyn sat on the ground in the training yard, meditating. She needed the tranquility. It was becoming more and more of a habit for her to have private sessions with one recruit at a time, instead of a group, because recruits seemed to trickle in, rather than arrive in chunks. She had to comply, of course. There was no other way. But that didn't mean it didn't irritate her. She was less than thrilled, that was for sure. So she waited until the set time she was told to be there. She eyed passerbyes, wondering when her recruit will finally arrive. As if summoned by her thoughts, a young woman approached her. Evelyn stood up and dusted her pants."Morning, Katandra…

OK, we need a big public thread so folks not in the WT RP group can see it, too. :) There are going to be some things we need to chat about here with the accumulated mass of people who will be playing along with us on this trip, so let's get started! First things first: the plan: Thread 2: We leave for Mardecin, dragging various wardies along with us. We travel to Mardecin and we can toss in whatever other little issues that pop into our heads that we want here... snakes, broken bridges... -No trollocs-. The Aes Sedai will be teaching Kathleen Battle Weaves during their journey to Mardecin, so be aware that they're going to find a quiet place to sit and …

((Lets hope I still remember how to do this xD)) Winter and Forest Shadow sat beneath the boughs of a pine tree, quietly resting after an afternoon of cutting wood to be used for various things around the Stedding. He was still a Pup among the Pack here, having not actively gone out and attempted to gain a rank or a higher place amongst the Wolfkin. His sister Forest, who was in fact a wolf where he was human, told him that such things were needed sometimes. So long as he helped and was useful then he did not need to challenge anyone for their rank. This was of course not how things worked among the Wolfkin, as with many human societies, but Forest still enjoyed using w…

Endora listened to the other Wise Ones in silence. They were discussing the newest addition to their ranks of apprentices. The girl, according to them, was flipping back and forth between the attitude of a Maiden and that of a first time mother. She was either too severe or too leniant. A common issue with new apprentices, as Endora knew all too well. While they didn't exactly include her in the conversation, she noticed some did occasionally cast an eye in her direction. Trying to read her reaction. She smiled at them and sipped her tea, content in listening for the moment. It threw some of them off guard, though the more experienced ones smiled right back, holding eye c…

Arkin whistled as he dawdled down the path. His knives rested easily on his belt with several flasks, pieces of cloth, instruments and the odd assortment of what could only be described as things that he had collected over the years as he travelled the world. No matter how hard Master Gabbon had tried, Arkin wasn't ever going to give up his keepsakes, one from every place he visited, every city, every country, every ship and tinker's caravan. Arkin called it being sentimental. Master Gabbon called it unneccessary weighing down of his limbs. Or at least he had... Arkin's step faltered slightly as memories of Master Gabbon's farewell words and retreating back flew into…

Even if he was no longer a part of the Band, Mehrin reveled in the march. It had been so long since the Band had properly mobilized, and Mehrin could see the lack of practice in how they moved. No conservation of motion, no order to the motion. However, the Asha'man that were accompanying the Band were a saving grace. The Band would march for several days, then stop for a few days while the Asha'man, accompanied by a small bodyguard, explored the lay of the land. When a suitable location was found, the Asha'man would gather and open gateways to the location, allowing the Band to stream through the gateways. It meant less order, but more speed. More importantly, the…

The road had been hard and long. The ghosts, or ghost of his brother rather, had chased him the whole way. Sleep had not been kind. The wind, nor the sun had ever seemed to be at his back. In fact the sun seemed to be shinning furiously into his eyes as he tried to squint ahead on the road. It had to be the Fortress of the Light. It was exactly where the others travelers had told him it would be. He was glad he had made it before dusk or nightfall. He was tired of sleeping under bushes or beside trees. He had grown up on a farm and used to working all day but sleeping outside was different. The road had been demanding but now he saw the end of it and it gave him new e…

As Aureli made her way from the dining hall to her room, she was beginning to notice that people were beginning to get used to her appearance. At first, she was some sort of oddity. Novices and even some Accepted gawked at her right shoulder, how there was no arm with it. It was normal for this sort of behavior in Tear, but it was a different thing altogether in a place where she was among women she would be working with. At least now they looked at her like a slightly different person instead of something from a traveling show. She opened the door to her rooms, and she was alone, yet she noticed a set of sheets and blankets folded up on the second bed. So, she w…

Ceridwyn gathered her cloak around her as her horse trotted down the path. The darkness around her pressed inwards, suffocating her, drowning her in its black depths. Unbidden, her mind attempted to escape the confines of reality and jump back through time to a night long ago, when her beaten, bruised body and soaked face pressed up against wood, squeezing in on her in darkness oh so black, so dark and so deeply inpenetrable. The door wouldn't open, the darkness wouldn't go away, and Ceridwyn couldn't make herself scream, couldn't make herself do anything but sit in paralytic terror. A small orb of light burst into Ceridwyn's vision. A face appeared, floating abo…

Hello fellow WoT fandom! I guess it's about time for me to pop in and shake hands! I've been reading through quite a chunk of the material around here and really enjoy what I read. Some nice writing and imaginations in the works around these parts. I've sent my "bio" to the required email address as per the BT website request. When I started frequenting forums I adopted the forum title Bathemal. An alteration that I imagine does not go amiss around these parts. It's one I've been using on all my forum exploits for the last half decade and I found it quite suiting to bring here. I hope to receive approval and launch head on into some immersive RPing with you all.…

Now it's been a while, and I can say confidently that I knew how this worked in the past... but if I wanted to make an Asha'man who was slowly slipping towards the Shadow would I do that by making a BT Bio and just incorporating that into his backstory? Then when I am done establishing that character I can run it past us here to get him recognized as a DF? I'm realizing that with just a shadowspawn, my choices for group RP's are more limited. Most peoples characters who aren't already tied to Shayol Ghul would be killing my poor little Fade on sight!

Well, it looks like our dearest Eqwina is away for a bit, I do have a rather poorly trained warder of my own in Adamin. Hopefully we get his twin Del back in action, but I've got some catch up work to do on that front anyways. I have no idea were the reqs are, and think I've only done 3 posts with him, most of which didn't get finished. As such, I need some help getting him up and running and training with his side sword (think a more functional rapier, edged but still an incredibly nimble weapon, a gentleman warrior's weapon.) Any takers?
