  1. Started by _Kynwric_,

Kynwric had left in plenty of time to meet Jasine, but had taken a slow stroll down to where he had interrupted the capture of and then captured Cari himself. Nothing had much changed since that night besides the removal of the dead girl. He even hopped across the stream and stopped at the place he had finally apprehended the murderess. It was more a thinking trip than an investigative one and he didn't find anything new. Finally he left the park and headed for the Stag and Unicorn. He saw Jasine sitting at a booth and walked across the room to sit with him. "Good evening, hope you haven't been waiting long."

  2. Started by Sieve,

Perivar stood outside the door to the Armory idly testing the edge of his dagger with his thumb. Maybe he would cut his finger off and be spared from training another person. He disliked it immensely except for the fact that it did make the days go faster. His trainee, an Accepted should be arriving soon. Aside from Kabria this was the only other person he had trained from the Tower. Most had been trainees in the Warder Yard. Kabria was the only one he had not minded training. Life in Tar Valon was not for him, at the moment it was out of his control. Kabria was busy with training, the Light only knew what she was learning for she couldn't speak of it with him.…

  3. Started by Matalina,

Cari found herself outside the walls. It wasn't a good idea to stick inside them for long, the guard had been tightened and the shadow knew now was not a good time to go in there again. But it also wanted more to kill, and the challenge of the city would prove to be useful. A man left the yards and Cari followed him. He was heading down to some tavern or another. Cari smiled and followed the man, he went into not-so-great tavern, that was noted for it's bad reputation and good ale. Tower guards still came often and it was still amazing that fights broke out every night in there. Cari walked in to alot of hoots and hollers. She smiled and swayed through the men…

Perivar left his quarters then went to the gardens before making his way to the Tower. He waited impatiently in the main entry hall occasionally scanning the balconies for any hint of her. He wore a charcoal grey high collared coat with buttons down the center with a pair of black trousers. His black boots were brightly polished. It felt odd being out of his armor. He wore his sword strapped to his back. Normally he would have gone out with just a belt knife though the recent events in the Tower had everyone on edge. His left arm remained tucked behind his back. Normally he could stand for hours on guard duty without moving though he paced nervously as he wait…

  5. Riding back in through the gates of Tar Valon a few of the guards smiled at her and Thera smiled back trying to mask the nausea she felt. She was unsure if it was caused by the child, or by the fear of having to make her decision, but either way she’d hardly been able to hold down solid food for a full day. Giving BlueRose back into the care of the Tower grooms Thera shouldered her bags and started straight for the house she and Jasine shared. Knowing that if he was there she would face questions about her hasty departure she prepared what she was going to say in her head. She wasn’t quite ready to tell him about the child, not yet. She wanted someone else’s advice…

  6. Started by Sieve,

Perivar scanned the area around the training grounds looking for her. He had not seen Kabria since her survival training and was eager to see her. He thought of playing a joke on her and hiding though he did not want to delay seeing her for a moment. Their only contact had been through written correspondence. Perivar had just recently returned from a trip to Bandar Eban with Mistress Thera and Andrial Sedai. Perivar had hastily written a note when he left and had written her again upon his return. His only word from her was that she was busy and would meet him this morning for training. Perivar wished he could forget the trip though that would not happen anyt…

  7. Started by Sieve,

Perivar followed the Accepted through the quarters of the Green Ajah. It was early morning yet the Tower was already full of life. He carried the box gingerly though his face had a look of disinterest, just a Guardsman going about his duties and one that he wasn't particularly thrilled with. That look was completely fake of course, on the inside he felt like a little boy when he was trying to get one over on his parents. Luckily the Accepted took little interest in him though he thought his face would not betray his true feelings. Tower Guards were allowed in the Tower on official business though he needed an escort since he had no idea how to find her room. He did …

  8. Started by Eqwina,

With a sharp look and a few words she had Corwin at her side and headed for her rooms in the Tower. She could feel that he was still weak and starving besides. Stopping the first young woman she found she ordered enough food for 5 men and said that it was to be delivered “with all haste”. Being this close to him was rare. Since they’d returned to the Tower for the second time they did not spend much time together. He had his training in the Yards and she her duties as Ajah Head. Plus, ever since she’d broken down and begged him to stay she could not make herself meet his eye. It was shaming that a woman of her strength and prominence had to chase down her Warder…

  9. Started by Eqwina,

Facing the small stand mirror in her room Thera frowned back at her reflection; her eyes hiding the shame that she felt to the core. For ten years Serena had been a part of her life, she had been another living person in side her head. She’d been a friend, a confidant and a lover, and now Thera had to face and present the most devastating news of her life. It had been almost 5 years since she and Serena had parted ways, all while living inside the same walls; and over a year since Thera had seen her beautiful face. At night when she closed her eyes the tiny pixie of an Aes Sedai often found her way in. Memories of Aridhol when Serena had almost died were prominent, follow…

  10. Started by Sieve,

Perivar walked around the clearing, the area of the training grounds where the ground had been beaten bare. Surrounding the clearing were racks filled with every manner of practice weapons. Once again he was early because the anticipation of seeing his love was too great to tamp down. Perivar had done his own laps and flowed through the forms as he did every day. The life of a Tower Guard left more than enough time for training. You were required to maintain your level of fitness and proficiency with the weapons you carried on duty. In most cases your were expected to not only maintain but improve. As would be expected Perivar was focused on the latter since it was…

  11. Started by Sieve,

Perivar leaned against the wall of the Armory waiting for his love to arrive. Since his return and being raised to Tower Guard their time together was limited. Apparently newly raised Aes Sedai had less free time than Tower Guards. When Perivar had asked her she dodged his question changing the subject to something else. No matter his love for her she was Aes Sedai and he was merely a Tower Guard. Their were protocols to follow, he could not simply demand an answer. He had been worried sick that he had done something wrong or that she no longer cared for him. Kabria had insisted all was well but he still missed her. Did she know that the sun did not shine as…

  12. As hard as it was for her to believe she had been in a committed relationship for well over a year. It could hardly be called a relationship since they spent little time alone and had yet to… Thera’s cheeks flushed just thinking about a part of their relationship that had yet to be. She was a grown woman, a Warder, and Mistress of Trainees of the White Tower a title almost as prodigious as Captain of the Guard and she still blushed thinking of the man she loved. It constantly amazed her that even with the heart of a warrior she could still feel love. The veins of jealously that had marred her first few months with Jasine were gone and they had settled into a place of comp…

  13. Started by Eqwina,

It had only been in the last few weeks that the Mistress of Novices had deemed Kabria worthy to teach Novices. The fact was it had only been that long since she’d learned to control her temper. Her new found friends had a calming effect on her, and she approached the new responsibility with vigor. Walking down the halls and into the Library she paused to gather a few books she’d need for their lesson today. The classroom she’d reserved was just outside of the library, but on a whim Kabria had decided that their lesson would go better out of doors. She led the expectant girls out into the yards and to “her”spot. Seeing Perivar just a few moments sooner was a foolish r…

  14. The wind cut through Thera like a knife, but she ignored it as she stomped her way through the yards, muttering to herself. “Six Months” she grumbled. Six months she had been bonded to Serena and twice in that time the woman had run off without letting her know. How she was supposed to be her sword Thera did not know, it is not as if you can protect what you cannot see! Thera was so lost in her rant that several trainees had to jump quick to keep from being run over. Her constant grumbling coupled with the normal everyday noise of the yards hid the tell tale signs from Thera’s ears. One minute she was stalking with a fierce stride the next she was flat on her …

  15. Started by Sieve,

Perivar scanned all of the blades on display. He could have kept the sword which was given to him from the armory though there was something more to it then that. A sword must fit you perfectly, only a master weaponsmith could make such a weapon, that was why he was here today. He was in need of a sword and had been given the name of this shop by people whom he trusted in the training yards. The weaponsmith was reknowned, Mistress Thera smiled at him as she kindly gave him a pass to enter the city. There were several types of blades, some narrow at the tip some broad, the choices were as numerous as one could imagine. The choices in hilts were just as numerous i…

  16. Rain fell softly on the tiled rooftops of Tar Valon. The morning haze was slowly being swept away and replaced instead with a gentle drizzle that promised to keep up all day. The paved streets were relatively quiet, the weather driving anyone who did not have the necessity to inside and out of the wet. Vaaran stood patiently at the open doorway looking out into the courtyard as a carriage pulled up. The tall Andoran was the major domo of his master’s recently acquired manor. Ahdam Baraka had recently moved his household north into the fabled city of Tar Valon, and was busily seeking out new business ventures in the Borderlands. As the carriage came to a halt Vaaran unc…

  17. The sun was just reaching it's apex as Jasen walked through the yards towards the trainee's barracks. He hummed a nonsense song as he moved down the dirt path, happy that he was doing something other then guard duty or patrolling. Not that spending days on end in the area surrounding the city wasn't fun, it was just that nothing really happened that led to excitement. There was little banditry in the area due to the fact that people all over feared Aes Sedai, and the world of war had yet to move close to the Shinning Walls. Today, however, was different. Tonight he would not be sleeping out under the trees, using his cloak as a blanket and a saddle for a pillow. Tonight h…

  18. Started by Liitha,

Celerita smiled as she sliped out of the gate, she had somewhere to be now, though it all had started weeks ago when she got bored of sitting in the tower. *** As far as she had known there had been no evidence of her mother having learned where she was, or if she had she must have been turned off by the tower withouth Celerias knowledge. Either way she had reached the conclution that the city must be safe area, and so she had ventured into it. It was in the city she had met madam Courtier, a meeting that would change her life, though she hadnt realised it in the moment. It was not untill after she had been back in the tower, back in her bed contemplating, it wa…

  19. Started by Winter Mist,

~Ivy ~ The trees bore their gentle mantles of spring with pride, Ivy thought. Above her, wide arcs of pink and white blossoms decorated some of the younger trees danced in the gentle breeze that flickered idly among the boughs, scenting the air with their perfumed delicacy. Ivy looked up from the sketch pad she had bought from a peddler of renown in the city proper and held her breath as one of the petals spiralled slowly to earth. “Is this how it will be? All things will fall in their appointed time. Will I find him? Will I?” She sighed, and blew the heads off some nearby flowers. Cursing her hasty gesture, Ivy once again realised her own height a…

  20. ((Continuation of story from Part I)) It was just before sunset when Selene and Jasine rode up the bridges to the island of Tar Valon. Travel-worn and weary, the guard narrowed his eyes and looked at them closely before nodding to Selene's assertion that she was sent to the tower by an Aes Sedai. They rode on into the city of Tar Valon itself, weariness forgotten in the majesty of the city up close. Selene had been able to see the Tower itself and its darker looming brother in Dragonmount for what felt like days now. She'd been to White Bridge once, seven years ago, while traveling to Baerlon for a relative's wedding, and she thought having seen that great wo…

  21. Started by TaeaDawn,

It was done. The cloak was on, the ceremony over, and Sana needed a drink. Not that he'd really missed out on the drinking during his trainee days. He thought back to the days of Mad Maldrin and his roommates who were never far from a fight. And somehow dragged Sana into them as well. He thought about all the roommates who had come and gone, the mentors as well. There were a fair few people that might not think Aran was the best Tower Guard, but they'd not likely crossed blades with him when he was serious. Or been forced to deal with one of his 'life lessons'. All in all, he'd had a good life since joining the ranks of the Tower Guard trainees. It had been…

  22. Started by Muirenn,

Dulcinea checked her hair in the small looking glass propped up on her nightstand. A silly gesture, she admitted to herself, as the black curls she had so meticulously placed would be ruined in the steam of Mistress Elin's Shienaran Bath House within the hour. But she would be seen coming and going, and that was what mattered. She nodded firmly to herself. She quickly scooped up her satchel and was out the door. All the Tower initiates had been granted a free day, in honor of High Chasaline. The Accepted were free to go into the city, as were the novices, with an escort. When she heard, Dulcinea knew exactly how she wanted to spend her day: the spa. Mistress E…

  23. Started by Dorsbane,

The raucous laughter and the din of a dulcimer spilled out into the night, warming the winter night and bringing a smile to dried and cracked lips. The streets were full of mud and snow, cart tracks crisscrossed every intersection and groups of three or four staggered their way from inn to inn. The Wheel keeps turning but some things never change. Ryen Maher has returned to Tar Valon. The past four years have changed him greatly. He had come a long way since the boy who had walked away from Deneira in the rain so long ago. His face was harder now, he was more traveled. He had grown another two inches over the years and his body was lean and muscled. He carried his…

  24. Started by devon,

Dusk had just begun to settle over the white city of Tar Valon. Colors played catch with shadows across the sides of buildings, an intricate dance that had been the same for centuries, yet different at the same time. In the Ogier's grove , the massive trees stood still while their leaves created a windy whispering noise. Crickets in the background played music for the birds and animals songs, and the rivers and brooks added their own unique bass to the assembly. It was a symphony of nature, of peace. The sound was so majestic, so simple, so beautiful, so boring. Jasen walked through the woods completely ignoring the sounds all around him, humming a crude little song…

  25. Started by Jaedlyn,

There it was. Right in front of her stood Tar Valon, the fabled home of the Aes Sedai. Aes Sedai - those women who were so good at putting people to their proper uses that they used Monarchs as pawns, or so the stories went. They had arrived at mid day and it was a glorious sight. Not a story she had heard had done justice to this marvelous white city. Even Jaedlyn, normally so calm and poised, lost her breath. The Sister to her side smiled at her as if she were a lost child. “It is beautiful, isn’t it? Every time I find myself taking it’s majesty for granted, I notice someone with that exact same look on her face. But, I need to make sure you understand,…

  26. Started by Lavinya,

I've had this idea for opening the novice book to older women for some time. I wanted to run it past Owen and Taymist first, before working too much on it, just in case it was a flat no. They've given us the go ahead, though, so I'm sending you what I sent them - let me know what you think of the idea :) In the Books, the novice book is opened to older women by the Salidar group. I'd like to do that at the PSW too, to keep it somewhat in sync with what happens in the Books (considering that we don't have the players for a formal split). A rough outline of how this could work: The Final Battle is approaching, various Aes Sedai are worried about the fact that…

  27. I like the way Lor works hers, so I'm leaning towards using her method. This is what it is: If someone has been active on the Staff board, but not in any of the Ajah or N&A boards, I'll give them an active mark. There are 2 things I'd like to get a consensus on. 1) Should someone who has gone onto the MiA list (not active anywhere at the WT for 1 year) be removed from the WT usergroup officially (ie lose their access). 2) There's a rule that if you've not RPed with your Aes Sedai character for a certain amount of time (currently set at 6 months), that character's Bio has to be re-approved. See this please: http://forums.dragonmount.com/inde…

While I was in the shower, I was thinking about getting things moving over here for my Ajah again and had an idea. (and yes, I do a lot of thinking in the shower. LOL Poke fun, if you will!) The Orgs and Divisions have a rotating schedule to set up a single thread in the newbie forum and advertise what their Org has to offer. I thought that might help here, too! I was tossing a few ideas around, ya'll tell me what you think! 1) Each Ajah has a given month/amount of time to "advertise" in the Whispering Hole forum with the Novices & Accepted. In this thread, they can talk about how fabu their Ajah is, what the Ajah stands for, current standings in the Tower, etc.…

But why do we have to give our Ages as Aes sedai...isn't it really rude to ask an Aes Sedai her age? I'm trying to update my bio and I was just curious about the ages bit. Like I wanted to just say how long she's held the shawl but I dunno if that is okay to do....this may not a question for the hall per say but I was just wondering.

Is there a list of "accepted" classes somewhere and guidelines of what is to be done in them?
