Hi. Just registered here and thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Paul. I live in Sussex and I spend most of my time on performance car forums but I've been a fan of WoT since about 1992 and thought it was about time I put some of my ideas/question to those who make my fandom look like "casual reader" status. In fact i mainly registered to ask one question about Lanfear/Cyndane so we'll see how quickly I can get hooked on posting

Now I discovered somthing folks, really it took me by suprise. What I discovered is that crack really can come in book form. I was hooked, I couldn't stop reading. I just finished book Nine and am trying to find a copy of book 10. So to wrap things up love the series and hope to talk to some very interesting people while here. P.S: The Aiel Rock!

Hi everyone! I've been a fan of the series for many many years, but am just getting my second wind. I was a big contributor from the AOL glory days, the message boards and chats there. Back in the day. Good times. Anyhow, I lost interest for a few years. The normal complaints about the series. But about a month ago, I got an inexplicable urge to pick them up again (not all at once... that's too many books to carry) and re-read, and I'm really enjoying myself! As long as I don't take it too seriously. And even considering I know the major events that are up-coming. But, fortunately, I've forgotten much, and have not even read the latest installment all the way thro…

Greetings all. I've been listening to the podcasts for a while and have just recently registered. I look forward to posting here and eventually saying something both remarkably memorable and completely stupid in the future. :D Just to note (and be completely forgot in 3 seconds): Carteeg_Struve is pronounced Car-teej' Stroov.

Ta'Veren: One whom the Time Lace, The Pattern, weaves itself around. If one were to consider the entire world as a dream of The Creator, then all of the people in it might just be hazy images, knowing that someone somewhere in Carhien might be gilting a wooden throne, or that someone in Illien might be mucking stalls, or that someone in Tear might be fishing in the Dragon's Teeth... all of these things are known, but not detailed to the Dreamer. Ta'Veren might be considered to be... Personalities of The Creator. All things have many sides, depending on the situation, and all entities have many personalities. To put it into perspective, have you ever been driving d…

Hello fellow readers, my name is Xar and i'm a fan of the WOT series just like the rest of you. I live near Rotterdam in the Netherlands and i am 25 years old. I've read the books two times and i'm planning the 3rd time right now. I have been checking out the forum for a long time now and decided to join the club today so thanks for the warm welcome... I also like the books of Feist, Weis and Hickmann, Terry Goodkind and a few others but i wont bother you guy's with that lol. I've read the books of RJ in dutch so it's possible that i write the wrong name for a character or place in the books. Although i'll try to keep it to a minimum! Anyway i look…

My name is Adam. I have been reading these books for about 10 years now. I am on my third circuit of the existing series. I will be 30 in December. I live in Indy. That is in Indiana if you didn't know. I am a city boy with a bit rural in him. I grew up on the outskirts of town and watched all the empty fields bloom into strip malls. I am currently waiting tables and bartending for a living. I look forward to finally attending college this next Spring here in Indy. I want to be a Music Therapist. It is hard to say who my favorite character is in the books but I've always had a thing for Elayne(I like red heads) and Nyneave, bless her heart, is too funny sometimes…

Hello everyone, I do not usually join these. But I have to say,I have been sucked into the Robert Jordan world pretty hard. I am on the fith book (The Fires of Heaven). If I keep up the pace that I am at now, I may find myself telling my friends to "walk in the light" or use "burn me to bloody ashes" as part of my every day vocabulary. I think I actually called my wife "My heart" last night. Hmmmm, Maybe I should take a break. You are all welome to my fires...OH GOD! I meant..., Light what am I saying? Gah! I did it again! I have to go and talk to someone. Hope you all have a great day!

Hi all, Been reading the WoT for about 10 years now. Just finished KoD, and discovered this site. Really sorry to hear about Mr Jordans illness and really hope he pulls through, for himself and his family, don't care if he finishes the series in that case. Anyway sure I'll bump into a few of you on the fora. KJ

Well met everyone! Just dropping a line to say hello, and introduce myself. I have, of course, read all the books, though I have yet to buy Knife of Dreams. I love to read, and usually have 3 or 4 books going at once. I'd have to say my favorite character is Perrin. I have identified with wolves my whole life and find the animal facinating. The story of Perrin intrigues me to that affect. I found this site checking up on Mr. Jordan's condition. Never knew it existed... But, here I am! :) See you around... <conspiratory>...how is it now?

Just wanted to chime and say hi and introduce myself. My name is Steve and I'm from southern California in an area I call the damn desert. As far as my username goes, I'm registered on so many boards I kinda lost my originality for usernames and I use this one on most of them. I just got into reading the series a few months ago and I'm just about finished reading TGH and will start on TDR right after. So anyways I'm here and wanted to say hi and that I was a n00b so please take it easy on me as I can't yet quote half of the books like I have seen others on here do.

Hello, folks. My name is Ben Breeck. I have been a fan for roughly twelve years now, having been hooked back in college, when I discovered "Eye of the World" in the college library. I then found the next three books at my campus bookstore. Even though I have pretty much memorised them, I still like to read through them once every four months or so, just to see if I can find anything I missed. As a result, Volumes One through Four have lost their covers and the rest (save the most recent two books and New Spring) have bindings that are cracked at least two ways each. (I've started to joke that the novels are wonderful but the books are rather shoddy.) I'm from…

Except for roleplays, I don't believe there is anywhere on this site for posting fanfic. So if you have any, or want to read some, may I suggest http://fanfiction.net , a flaming awesome site? Enjoy everything DM does have to offer!
