New to the forums but I have been to this website many times over the past few years. I moved a while ago from Hawaii to North Carolina and now live on the outskirts of New Bern . . . right smack dab in the middle of the TWO RIVERS! I kid you not. This area actually goes by the nickname of the Two Rivers! Even after 2 years of living here I still get a kick out of that! Anyways, I've read the books now several times and listened to the audio books a few more times. Nothing like a long road trip and putting in the Wheel of Time! Love the work you people have done here and look forward to more.

I finished the series last night. It proved to be an amazing journey. The main reason I am here is to release my inner frustrations and joy. I started reading the series when I was in high school. I ended up reading the first 6 books (all we had) 3 times over. I took a break because I wanted to wait for series completion. I couldn't and read up to 9 and then heard about his death. I was very upset because I wanted to meet him and maybe help make a wot film or something to help bring this greatness to the world in another way. I eventually got to book 12. I waited awhile to read 13, and then another year for 14...and so here I am. I couldn't sleep last night, and am having…

Hello. I am a philosophy and music nerd student (hence probably suitable for the White Ajah), not so much a Wheel of Time fan but I'm here all the same. I finished reading the series in 2013, and the beauty of the series washed over me for months after that - I could not read anything else. It's taken some procrastination to come here, but what has driven me is a lack of readers of Wheel of Time in my area, where there's no one to talk about with. I'd like to say I have a favourite character and a favourite scene, but I don't. I really don't. Maybe Rodel Ituralde and the Battle of Maradon (Towers of Midnight), but I change my views quickly. As a spare-time wri…

Salutations, I am a long time fan of the WoT books, however during the time in which they were published... I was in the military. I got an opportunity to meet Robert Jordan, during some writer's conclave with David Weber but military service forced me to abandon the opportunity. Only later after I had been disabled in Afghanistan and sent home did I get to reach out to him again, but unfortunately things just never worked out in time before he passed away, which is a shame since we lived close to each other. I did get involved in a Wheel of Time RPG mmorpg of sorts through Neverwinter Nights (original) when they had a network for people running their own servers... h…

Hello community! Ive been reading this series for about a year now. I am now on book twelve, about half way through, I must say this is the best series I have ever, or likely will ever read! I am so happy Robert Jordans wife chose Brandon Sanderson to finish it. Ive read his Mistborn trilogy and loved it. He also has a new series out, I forget the name of it but the first book is called "Return of the King" (awesomesauce by the way) there is a part two out by now. Being as all of you love WoT I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who has finished the WoT series and are looking for another epic world to plunge into!

Hihihi friends, new wolf in town! i've just began my journey into my new life. I hope I can somehow find out who I really am. My dad, a furry, doesn't seem to understand what it's like to be a wolfkin... Doesn't he realize I'm simply different? I swear, I'm finding hair in places I never knew could have any. I am definitely a wolf. At first, I knew I was a wolf inside, but my physique wasn't exactly supporting this. But recently, as the changes have come upon me, I've realized who I am destined to be. Since my family of furries does not approve, I go to the dog park on weekends to seek comfort from my buddies. Their owners sometimes take me away from them, but as brothers…

Hey I'm Kate! I've read the series twice now. It has been awhile and I have been having the itch to read it again. My main reason for joining this site is to see if anyone would be interested in helping me. I am looking to get a tattoo in memory of my little brother. He was the one who turned me onto these books and I so miss discussing them with him. I am not quite sure what I would like but maybe something written in the olde tongue. Thanks in advance!!!! :)

Hi! I'm Kevin. I've been reading the Wheel of Time since around '92. I've known about Dragonmount for ages and ages but for some reason never thought to join in here in the discussion. So a little about myself I guess? I'm male, 37 years old, and in a serious long term relationship. I'm a graphic designer and a webcartoonist when I'm not working for a real estate appraiser. I spend most of my time doing that, really and running the occasional RPG for my friends. I write a lot of comedy and fantasy for my comics and to say WOT him worked it's way into my stuff would be a colossal understatement. It HAS become more subtle as the years go by. Anyway, that's about all …

Hi everybody, thought I'd introduce myself here, I'm a new fan of the series, just found this amazing series during winter and have been binge reading it whenever I can, I've made it all the way to 'A Path of Daggers' and am loving it!! This is definitely my new favorite series and cannot wait to continue reading. I'm currently waiting for the rest of the series to arrive in the mail and thought I'd come on here to occupy me in the meantime. I decided to start reading the Wheel of Time series. At book 3 at the moment, The Dragon Reborn, and I must say it is fantastic. I came here because I wanted to talk about some of the characters, but I'll do that in the appropriate sections. So ... off to the appropriate section!

Hello, first post here. Background: I first read "The Eye of the World" back around 1993, and was hooked from the start. During those angsty teenage years, I often found solace in WoT. I have a poor memory, so whenever a new book comes out in a series, I re-read the entire series from the start. Over the years, I've read the first six books over half a dozen times. I fell off for many years, and when it came time to read CoT and KoD, I made the mistake of starting one book earlier (WH) instead of from the beginning. The end result was that I was confused with plot-lines and characters. I decided that I would wait until the series was done, and at one point in my life,…

My Aes Sedai name was a gray named Laquril radyak ( spelling is wrong again im sure ) Do you guys have any records or posts from way back then ? My name is DJ, I'm sure many of you will have no trouble deciphering my user name. I've been a huge fan of the books almost since day one but never thought to look for a forum before. D'oh! Anyway... Read the books umpteen times, currently reading them again, and thought I'd finally stop lurking and officially join.

I'll be around for a little bit anyway. Got a writing itch that needs scratching. So chalk this up to project #4 on my writing to do list. Anyway. Hi, I've not been around DM for a few years now. But once upon a time I was a fixture here. Name is Matalina, but most people who know me around here still to this day call me Mat, I even get snail mail address as "Mat" it's really cool to have the name stick for so long. So Hi to all you that have come since I left, and Hi to all of you who were around from before. I'll be hanging out on the Turnings of the Wheel RP boards. I MIGHT pop into the Warders and White Tower to say hi. I hope to make a few more n…

Fellow Wheel of Time fans, We are assembling a tribute dedicated to Robert Jordan (RIP) to be given to his widow, Harriet McDougal Rigney, for the coming JordanCon in April 2015. We would like to compile an album filled with postcards of his fans’ hometowns to illustrate the distance his words have traveled and to showcase all the lives he has touched. In the postcard you may put in a few words about how the series affected your lives, a favorite Wheel of Time quote, words for Harriett. Whatever you are comfortable with. The postcards are to be sent in an envelope, with the address listed below. If you want to include a local stamp on your postcard for decora…
