    Started by Guest Judge Holden,

I'm glad to be a member. I've enjoyed reading the topics and clearing up a few things I wasn't sure of. I plan on starting a complete read through the entire series soon. I thought of myself as a big fan, but after reading through the board I realize I am far behind! I started reading WOT on the early 90's when a friend from high school recommended the series (I returned the favor by getting him start on GRRM. What a train wreck that is now). In the mid 90's myself and a stay at home mom I met on AOL (cannot recall her name) started one of the first book discussion groups on AOL and it was a WOT group! I look forward to getting caught up and using you guys as …

  2. Jandalman here from New Zealand. Just spent the last two weeks doing almost nothing else but reading the entire fourteen books of the main WoT saga from sun up to sun down. Only just finished Memory of Light about half an hour ago and feeling that rush of emptiness and melancholy one can only get from the end of a long journey through a good series of books. So yes, I'm a "new" fan of this masterpiece of storytelling. Oh how many Tar Valon marks I would give for a real life gleeman to re-tell the tale to me... I'm heartened to see that this online community thrives and I look forward to reading (and maybe even joining) your discussiong regarding our shared love for t…

  3. Started by PlatCont,

I've been lurking about the past few days, and I finally decided to join up, and post to introduce myself to you all! I'm Fiona (call me Fi!) and I'm from West-Central Scotland. I was introduced to WoT by my partner, who preceded the introduction with a, "These are the best books you'll ever read..." and he wasn't wrong! I'm currently on my 3rd re-read of the series, and that's what has prompted me to seek out this community. I'm really looking forward to the RP aspect of the site, but you'll have to excuse me for a few days, I'll be lurking about a bit while I work the site out in my head and I put a character together. It's been a while since I've RP'd, so I…

  4. Started by Crimith,

I just finished AMoL, and probably like a lot of people when they finish the series, am thinking... what next? I purposely stayed off websites like this before I finished the series for fear of stumbling on a spoiler, but now I'm ready to embrace the community. I've begun tracking down a copy of the WoT video game, and I'm planning a WoT tattoo if I can find the right design. What do I do now to plug the WoT shaped hole in my heart?

Hello, everyone! I am a fairly recent reader of The Wheel of Time series, and I bloody love it! I picked up The Eye of the World at my local book shop roughly 8 months ago and to say that I'm hooked is a vast understatement. SInce that day I have been drinking in the wonders that each book offers before hungrily purchasing the next one. So far, I am on to A Crown of Swords and can't wait to see what else is in store for me. I decided to search for forums related to the Wheel of Time, as unfortunately none of my friends or relatives have read the series, to the best of my knowledge anyway. Therefore I have been rendered unable to discuss the maddeningly exciting…

  6. Doth one simply come upon lost family without tears of joy, or exclamations of happiness? I think not... So. I extend a hello to all you beautiful people who share the same love that smolders inside me for the Wheel of Time series. I started reading when I was merely 15. My father, who recommended the series (quite strongly, I might add), created within me, a devote Wheeler. He was the start of the chain reaction, and now; I cannot but positively adore and cherish this series.

So, I'm Edgedancer, a girl from the Silicon Valley. I am about halfway through Lord of Chaos and this is the first fan forum I have ever joined, so hooray! I found Wheel of Time because, as you might have deduced from the name, I really like Brandon Sanderson. I found out he finished the series, which I had seen before but not read, and decided to give it a try. If anyone could explain to me how the signatures work (just text) that would be awesome. May you always find water and shade.

My name is Mark and I recently celebrated my 40th birthday, officially not young anymore. ;) I read the first 6 WoT books years ago but life happened and I faded away from the series. I decided this was a good time to start over from book 1 and take in this entire delicious series from beginning to end. I look forward to sharing observations and meeting new people as the adventure unfolds.

Hello. New user to these forums. There are a lot of informational threads to read, but the first piece said to post here, so I am posting here. A friend told me to check out these forums. Even though she doesn't use them, she loves the books and is trying to get me into the series. I am in the middle of the Eye of the World right now, and I am enjoying it so far. So hopefully I can enjoy the books while discussing them with you all. I'm quite sure I will lurk about and read instead of posting a lot, mainly because I don't know anyone. Hopefully I will become a bit more confident in the future. About me. I am a longtime sci-fi/fantasy reader and fan. I am male, liv…

  15. Greetings, Brothers and Sisters. I am new to this place, but not to the series. Where do I go to hunt with others of the talent? I am eager to join, but I may not be able to put consistent time into this. I will do my best. I am most like Goldeneyes and the Son of Battles, more so to Young Bull than the Gambler. I look forward to meeting new people and more members of the pack. That is all, I suppose. Goodbye until next hunt!

Hey everyone! I've been putting of joining this place for reasons I can't really remember. I suppose I've been waiting to finish the series, though I achieved that some 3 months ago. Anyhow, here I am now. So happy to meet all of you. My name's moly. You can find my tumblr (where I'm most active on the internet) over at gandalf-sedai.tumblr.com. I post many fandom and random things there, mainly WoT, lotr and asoiaf. I am a 19 year old physics student (2nd semester) from Austria (the one with the mountains, not the kangaroos. That's Australia you're thinking of, silly). As you might guess, I like science and fantasy/scifi in any form - books, movies, series, games…

Hi all, So I am new, and figured to introduce myself :). I am obviously a big fan of WoT, after my older brother pestered me for years to read it and I finally gave in and loved it! I have only about half way through book 9, but powering through swiftly. A bit about me: I am a 21 year old third year photography student, an ex-pat South African living in New Zealand (or Middle Earth as apparently it's known to other countries :/) , and rather a geek for computer games and books. Looking forward to meeting you all :)

Longtime fan of the series. Been just a little lost since the series finished with no new books to dream about. Found this forum and love reading others thoughts and opinions on my favorite series. One would think Rand is my favorite but the deeper I got into the series I found myself following Perrin more so than any other. Anyway hello to everybody and thanks for letting me join!

Hello, I just joined here and was wondering, before creating a character to join in the rp, when in the timeline of the books is the community roleplaying right now? I'm a longtime WoT fan and finished aMoL last year. I'm looking forward to having some great RP on here with you all. Is there a 'newbie primer' thread somewhere? If so, please direct me to it. Do the Warders or Band have their own website page? I saw the WT http://whitetower.aliciawilkerson.com/ and BT http://blacktowerdiv.wordpress.com/about/ pages regarding character design and roster. I was planning to make a Warder, Asha'man, and Aes Sedai soon. and wanted to make sure that I followed the right…
