Hello all! Long-time reader of the WoT books and the DM forums, but only now decided to join to hopefully get some questions answered. As my name indicates I am also a big fan of Steven Erikson's Malazan Book of the Fallen. I think these two series represent the best that the fantasy genre has to offer in two very differing ways.

你好(Ni Hao) fine people of Dragonmount, My real name is not Vimak, but you may certainly call me Vimak. I have long been a fan of fantasy series and played some variant of DnD for some time (though I am pro 3.5/anti-4th ed) and that is where my user name comes from. I recently returned to the US and have been rereading the WoT books, I am currently on book 10 (I read to book 9 last time I was reading them in the early 2000s). I will be entering graduate school this Fall in Washington, DC and so am using the summer to get as much reading for fun in as I can. I joined the community figuring it would be interesting to interact with other fans of WoT and fantasy s…

Hi everyone! I've made a few posts on certain theories but i figure it best I introduce myself considering how often I seem to be browsing Dragonmount :). I started reading WoT around 8 years ago but took another 4 years before (at that stage) I realised there was more than 1 book :) - after that I was instantly hooked, and continue to compulsively re-read the series whenever I have a break from other books. I'm an advertising copywriter by profession with aspirations of being a fiction/fantasy author. I would also like to thank Dragonmount for introducing me to some amazing new reads- I'm just getting into like aSoIaF thanks to you guys. Hope to spend a lot …

About two years ago, I found The Eye of the World and saw it was book one in a series, and started reading. I couldn't put it down! The way Robert Jordan wrote (and now Brandon Sanderson) wraps up just enough of the story to feel satisfied but leaves us hanging because of imminent danger for some characters. And what about the seals on the Dark One's prison? Should Rand break them or not?

Hi, people! I've been a fan of WoT for over a decade at this point, it shaped all my fantasy reading when I was young and remains an important part of my fantasy repetoire. It's only recently that I've learned the value of community and sharing everything awesome with other awesome people! :p So, here I am after looking around for some place to talk shop. I look forward to getting to know everyone better!

Hello! New to Dragonmount, not sure how active I'll be but I've enjoyed the podcasts recently so I thought I'd check out the forums and see what goes on around here between books and such. I've been a WOT fanatic for quite awhile, I've come to Dragonmount for news, but never really checked out the community until now. I've read all the books, and even played the Tarmon Gaidon MUD for years just to keep the immersion going. Though it's still going, I have not played for years. I miss the community/discussion that happened there when new books came out, so hopefully Dragonmount can fill a void. I don't have enough close friends who are caught up on all the boo…

Hello, everyone! I'm actually a longtime member, returning after I don't even know how many years. I don't remember my old login information at all, or which old email address I used on here, so it looks like it's a fresh start for me. Which I'm perfectly happy with, to be perfectly honest. Anyways, I'm KChan, a fan of Wheel of Time since high school, an aspiring fantasy writer, and also one of the admins over at 17th Shard. I've missed this place, and since my two favorite fandoms now have a very strong connection, I figured I'd try to come back on and get to know the DM community again. It's nice to meet you all!

So I decided last year to get back into reading after not reading a book for years after reading some Harry Potter and I think the last books I read was LotR ♥ WoT, probably more than LotR tbh, mainly cus I watched the movies while reading the books which kind of ruins the experience ;_; About myself if you want to know: From Australia. ♂ 22. Can channel and already half-mad. I just finished TSR and onto TFoH. Slowly reading through when I get some time to relax in the evening and don't have assignments to work on. I prefer absolute silence when reading so I can properly immerse myself in it, without distractions. favourite character is Perrin 'Goldeneyes' Aybar…

Hello, So, despite being a WoT fan for a long, long time, I'm only now making my way to Dragonmount. I've been stuck in a smaller, tight-knit WoT community for years. Today seemed like a good day to head over and start engaging with the broader WoT community. Dragonmount seemed like the right place. I'm the Lead Developer and overall Project Lead for the Wheel of Time: Mirrors of the Pattern project (MoTP). This project has been around in one form or another since 2006 or 2007, providing the most canonical, most highly tailored Wheel of Time experience on the Neverwinter Nights platform. I could go on and on about it obviously, but I'm going to test the water…

Hey all! Just thought i'd stop by and say hi, so, hi! I am from Gothenburg, Sweden, and finally got my act together and became a member here at Dragonmount. Hurray! I've always read fantasy, and Jordan, alongside Feist, Eddings and Gemmells, has always been my greatest influence in my own writing. I sent in my first fantasymanuscript to the publishers about two months ago, still awaiting responses from some of them, and after that I've started on my second fantasynovel. I've been a huge Jordanfan for years, and just started to re-read the books again (the last 2 years i've read all of Ray Feists books again) and I am halfway through the Great Hunt n…

Hey everyone. Discovered this site only a few days ago, and have done alot of reading since. I first picked up EoTW in about 96, and have done a re-read of the entire series after every release since WH came out, except for ToM, 'cos everything is in storage. Somehow I've managed this despite buying over 200 Fantasy books in that time. Even still it seems from some of the reading I've done here that there is plenty that I've missed.... Look forward to more learnings and discussions. keef

Hello, First of, I would like to introduce myself to the Dragonmount community. My name is Kevin, I'm a teacher for students with special needs, and I started reading Robert Jordan's book series about 3 years ago. I started reading the books out of order, solely by accident, but i found that manner suprizingly interesting. I began reading book twelve, and realized I was missing huge chuncks of the story because I didn't understand the backstory. I stuck with it, and I liked it enough to want to learn more. Amid a few breaks and reading book 12, I have gone right through sequentially. Now, I'm now on book four, the Shadow Rising. Really quick, which book or book…

Hi, I am Jens from Germany. I am 45, single, an avid reader with a broad literary scope, and special interest in history and archaeology. I stumbled upon WoT through the latest album of speed metal band Blind Guardian, just a couple of months ago. Since then, I devoured all thirteen books, just finished two days ago. Throughout reading the books I could hardly restrain myself from searching the web for clues and discussions about WoT - fear of spoilers held me back, though. Now I will enjoy reading and sharing thoughts on characters, plots and other stuff related to WoT. My favourite WoT character is surely Nynaeve, closely followed by Brigitte, Mat, and O…

Hi I'm currently an insurance agent from Scituate MA. I am currently single and 36 years old. I used to be a math teacher in Boston. I like reading a lot of different fantasy writers and also enjoy reading history and philosophy. I first read this series a few years ago and enjoyed it a great deal but decided it had too long since I had read the last book before reading the latest, so I've started a reread and am currently reading Dragon Reborn. {SPOILERS AHEAD} ok, lets see.. ummm... hi. my real name be Ismail. ( the "be" was intentional,a homage to Bayle Domon) i live in South Africa. currently I'm 15 years old, yes I started early. i've been listening to the podcast for about a year, though I still miss a lot, especially Asmodean, that went RIGHT over my head, never thought about it until I saw all the hubbub about it. i have completed the entire series and plan on a total readthrough before aMoL,because I have missed much before I actually started taking notice of everything going on. My favourite characters.... between Lews therin and Perrin, why? Lews Therin: he's crazy. I like that. Perrin: I …
