Another WoT-fan reporting in! My experience with the Wheel of Time books started years ago when I randomly picked up a a book named "The Eye of the World" from the local library. Had never heard of it, no one recommended it, but I decided to take a look. And am I glad I did...the series has inspired me, enabled me, and given me so much throughout the years that I cannot thank Robert Jordan, may he rest in peace, enough. I, myself, am a 19-year-old male from Finland, studying law in Oslo, Norway. Apart from that, I have a general interest in literature (fantasy included, obviously). This introduction is starting to sound really stereotype, so I'll quit it here :…

*puts hands above head and worships WoT* OMG!!!!, I am in awe, again. I started reading EOTW again 3 days ago. finished it last night. could. not. stop. reading. I remember it being the best book(s) I have ever read, but I dont remember it being THAT good... and now I cannot stop thinking about their world, and their people, and what will happen in the other 10(11) books. This is the only set of books that I have reread, and I am more than glad I started. Ideas and more ideas... my head is bursting with ideas. None of which (unfortunately) realisable, but all of which already realised in my head. But why am I talking about my ideas, there is :o in me thanks to EOTW.…

Hi all I just wanted to introduce myself, I'm 18 years old, from New Zealand and I'm in my last year of high school (so sorry for any grammatical errors). I started reading Eye Of The World at 13 and have continued up to book 9 so far. I have thoroughly enjoyed all books thus far and cannot wait to get the next ones in the series. I am happy to find a community that loves these books as much as I do and cannot wait to make some like minded friends here. I would also like to mention to Robert Jordan's family that he was/is an inspiration to me and that I wish you all well in the future.

...Just making sure you all knew. Well, my cousin got me into the series by buying me the first book, and then I took it into my own hands. I've read the series through once, and I'm in the middle of re-reading it, on book 3 now. It's funny how you pick up on things you never would've thought were important the second time around. Ah, well. I'm sure you all will be seeing a lot more of me.

I am a 15 year old that has read all of the WoT books, and i loved them so much that i sometimes wish i could be in the books. People call me Jim, but if you want to call me Dracius that is fine too. I love channalers, especially Asha'man. So as soon as possible i'm heading to the Black tower. I have been RPing since i was 2 years old, so i am a vetran RPer, so I dont need a big explaination on how to do things, just once i get the hang of it i am a real pain to try and force off of the story. ;D Cya all on the RP Boards ;)

Hi :) Figured it was best to admit straight up that I'm a newbie. I've been off work today and finally cracked into Eye of The World which has been sitting on my shelf forever. Bang went the day, I'm 300 pages in and loving it. Given that my husband and friends are all morons, ie they don't read, I'm loving the idea of having a place to chat with like minded folk. Looking forward to getting to know people and exploring the site. Oh, and I'm from Swindon in England..if you know it, you'll know that there are only 12 of us in the entire town who can actually read ;)

Howdy Guys! Noob from South Africa signing in! I've been reading Robert Jordan since I was eleven years old (Doesn't say much, as that was in 2001... ::) I'm quite the avid fan of the series, and I find that, apart from influencing my style of thinking and behaviour, Jordan's books have always been something to escape to if things got rough...I wish there could be an infinte set of these series...I only hope that sometime there will be another author with half the skill at creating a deep, meaningful environment. You guys don't need to hear me try explain these books, since I guess everyone here has read each one at least 10 times, but they really are something special,…

Hello all, I'd just like to introduce myself. My name is Chris, I live in Sarasota, Florida, and I've been a fan of RJ for about 3 years - in which I've read the entire series twice. This site seems to be very cordial and respectful - a WELCOME change! I can't tell you how many times I've gone to boards about various topics and seen "That post is stupid you noob." and 15 pages afterwards of that same disgusting 4 letter word being repeated. Thanks for taking the time to read my post, and I will frequent this site to converse with all of you (although I may have to re-read the books to keep up with the amount of knowledge some of you seem to have), and I hope t…

Just stopped in to introduce myself. Been reading the books since back in the early 90s. Rereading them again now and decided to check the web to see any news on the final book. Another year it seems. Well, gives me plenty of time to refresh myself with all the sub-plots again. Anyways, hope to make some new friends here on the boards and get into some great discussions about the books. Also, if anyone knows of any good WoT game sites out there send me a PM. I played one years back for a while but lost touch with the site during a move. Oh, almost forgot, I live in the Florence, AL, USA area if anyone reading has some questions, I love discussing the books. …

Hey everyone, I just joined this site a couple days ago but I can already say that it rules. I especially love just browsing the forums or looking at the artwork in the gallery. I live in Ottawa, the capital of Canada and I love NHL hockey, reading and getting new games for my PC. I havn'e yet finished my first read through of the series, but right now i am on Winters Heart. I just randomly saw the Eye of the World at a thrift store and thought the cover looked cool so I bought it. Talk to all you guys later!

Greetings from Liverpool, England. Came across the site a while back, but only just decided to register as nobody else i know has read the books and thought that this would be the best place to talk to others about them. Started reading the books after discovering the EoTW in the book shop in an airport when i was going on holiday. Ended up reading the book all day every day though so didn't get as much sun as i had hoped. Enjoyed the other ten since then and cannot wait for the final one. Well can't wait to get to know you all and hopefully make some good friends, See ya.

I am a member at wotmaina also but I find I get ignored there so I have been snooping for quite sometime around here (especially since WOTISM went down)and I have posted occasionally but I have yet to introduce myself, so here goes. I am immediately southeast of SF bay in California, USA. I have been reading the WOT since Winter Heart came out and I have been hooked ever since. I have reread the entire series several times now. My favorite character is Rand since the beginning. I thought it was going to be Mat or Thom with Rand being a close second but Rand quickly stole my heart because although Mat and Thom are funny, Rand has more characteristics I admire in …

May you always find beer and trees! I am Tumeric, hear me roar! I hail from the mythical land of Godzone, where we brew a brown drink named in our native tongue - Strine - as XXXX (pronounced ksksksks), where our roof mistresses (in my case, the shade of my heart, Verandha) keep us warrior/hunter-gatherer types in line through the used of graphic and explosive violence, where we vow never to touch an instrument used solely for the purpose of work (the reasons for this are old, and have become clouded in the mists of time, and are probably all bull@*$^ anyway, but it's best we don't take a chance on it) and instead, arm ourselves with bottle-openers, and hide our fac…

Hey! My name's Chris, but you can call me Buraun. Info: I'm a freshman majoring in Asian Studies, with a focus on Japanese. My hobbies(starting with the oldest) are video games (role-playing and turn-based strategy, mostly), reading (fantasy, science fiction, and historical), and writing (only fantasy, so far). Also, I've just started learning the guitar (a year late--I've owned one for three years). I first read The Eye of the World...sometime in middle school. Found it in the school library, thought it looked interesting, read the Prologue, and found it awesome. Made it to book five, I think, before life intervened in various ways and I started losing …

Hi, I´m a 36 year old Fantasy lover from Sweden. I´ve read fantasy since I was like nine or ten years old ;), of course the Tolkien books for starters but after that aloooot of fantasy and SF books :P When I read the first Jordan book I just wanted to read them all as fast as I could, and I got pretty mad about the fact that the swedish publisher split the books in 2 when they translated them so they could publish moore books to cash in moore money on one book :S. I sent some angry mail to them :D and pointed out to them the unethical in doing that. Don´t think they cared ;) but anyway I bought all of the books in english instead of swedish and waited to the next book to …

Hello! I have just found this forum - shameful to say, I know. I walked up to my bookshelves for something to read before bed and looked at my RJ books and sighed. I was saddened for the passing on of such a talented writer - but that isn't really what RJ meant to me. He changed my life - I began reading with him when I was a child, through my teenage years into adulthood. He became my companion as I travelled into the WoT world and explored exciting realms. He took me away into a world of his choosing and I felt safe. I lived alongside his characters and laughed and cried with them. He gave me hope when life was dark, and gave me courage to go on. He inspired…

Although I am registered here for quite some time, I haven't been active a lot, and never said hi. I'm just another new and hooked The Wheel of Time reader from Germany. Unfortunately I learned about book one and started reading it only a few weeks after the death of Robert Jordan, R.I.P. Nevertheless I have enjoyed all five books that I have read. I even have to admit that it has been a while since I was interested in any book that much. I loved the fanart I found here and I am sure I will enjoy the rest of the website and forums as well. Hope I will meet many nice The Wheel of Time lovers~

Greetings all! I have visited Dragonmount many times but never really felt the urge to join 'til recently. I discovered The Wheel Of Time when Eye Of The World came out in paperback. I was looking for something new and was drawn to the cover. I have been a fantasy genre reader since the age of 13(I'm now ...gulp... 40) and until Jordan, Tolkien was the king. To me, Jordan has surpassed him, but that's just my opinion. Since book 1 I have waited for the next year after year. After 5 or 6, I started going back through all the books to keep it all fresh. Around book 8 I introduced my sister-in-law to Jordan and re-read with her. We stopped after Winter's Heart when it became…
