  1. Well, way more than 9, lol, but pertaining to OUR Story, we have been made aware that The Dragon Reborn, The Trickster and Moirane Damodred have visited those Folks through Doorway Ter'angreal and that each asked 3 Questions ... 3X3 = 9. We Know 4 For Certain. (Mat's 3, 1 of Rand's and 0 of Moirane Sedai's - Equalling 4 Known) What Do You Think The Remaining 5 Were??? Fish

...guys, I've been reading some things out there that really have me considering it as a possibility. I would LOVE to know what some of you conspiracy theorists think about it. I've been agonizing over why this seemingly random and unnecessary person was introduced so late in the series to serve such an apparently pivotal role, and this possibility might explain it... Now personally I've always assumed (like many here) that Rand was LTT reborn and that the two were kind of 'thinking to themselves' across time/lives so my question is going to stem from that assumption I've always suspected that Min, Aviendha and Elayne were fractured aspects of Ilyena reborn, and…

So i have talked about this with some of my friends and have wanted to put it here but its hard to write so here i go. When i was reading the books my first time through i always thought that Rand's time and Lews Therin's time were at the same spot on the wheel, but not the same turn obviously. So when reading the prologue of the Eye of the World, you think you are seeing what is going to happen at the end of the story and now you just have to find out how you got there. My new thought is that Rand and LTT are at opposite points of the wheel. That it is not 1 dragon per turn but 2. We have been told that things don't happen the same way each time but there are …

  4. So there is apparently a word limit to Dragonmount posts--figures I'd be the one to discover this. As with the other thread all thanks and congrats go to those that actually transcribed the information--both Storm Leader and lovely fans. Special thanks to Terez for directing me to many of the non-DM Q&A reports. Please keep all discussion in the existing Q&A discussion thread. This is only a compilation. Thats mostly because this probably won't stay around forever. Questions and Answers on the following subjects are in this section of the Compilation. • Typo’s, Corrections, and Intentions • The Prequels and Outriggers, and the Encyclopedia. • Robe…

How do Aes Sedai always provide false names and manage not to break the three oaths?

  6. I loaned my copy of tEotW to my girlfriend because she was looking for a book to read. She asks me a bunch of questions about the plot and I always have to tell her to RAFO (I've always wanted to say that LOL). One comment she made to me had me laughing really hard. She said "Man that boy/girl psychic is really weird". At first I had no idea what she was talking about but I realized it was min. Anyone else have a story like this?

I'm at work right now without any real access so forgive me if I get this bit wrong... When Nyn 'healed' Siuan and Leanne's stilling, they came back at a fraction of thier original power... it would be safe to assume that Logain also came back at a significantly reduced strength, yes? But at the manor house in KoD when the trollocs attack, he displays a significant amount of power, not terribly below Rand/LTT... if this is a 'fraction' of what he was BEFORE the gentling, just how powerful was he?

I was able to find posts about the saddest and funniest scenes, and I had a little trouble with them because I couldn't remember anything sad or funny that made me do more than sigh or chuckle... but there HAVE been scenes that moved me to tears or gave me goose bumps and I'd love to know which, if any, did the same for you. Two that especially got me was when the Trollocs were about to attack Emond's Field and Perrin was reviweing the defenses and came across the women of the village surrounding the children with knives and cleavers and pitch-forks... when Perrin queried them about it, he was told that 'this is Women's Circle business' and he nodded, admitting that …

Mesaana General Timeline Strengths and Talents Relationships with other Characters Misc. Information Quotes General Information Mesaana is one of the Forsaken, the thirteen most powerful Aes Sedai who joined the Shadow during the Age of Legends. (Reference: TEotW Glossary) During that Age she was known as Saine Tarasind, her job as a lecturer was not important enough for her to gain the third name. (Reference: BWB Chapter 6) When the Forsaken were all publicly known to have turned to the Shadow, the people gave them new names. (Reference: BWB Chapter 5) Saine became Mesaana, though we do not yet know what that means in the Old Tongue. Howev…

  12. Im shocked that over the long years Ive never seen this thought. Everybody can't seem to wait for Moirane Damodred's return but why most seem to think she'll be all Fine and Dandy when she comes back has always mystified me. Shes been held captive for quite some time in an alternate dimension by The Finns, who, while not ''evil'' in the strictest sense of the word, according to RJ, certainly are twisted, and killers, and peelers of human skin. If she has been Heavily-Tortured, she may well emerge a Babbling Mess. I have a strong suspicion we will see something similar to ''Un-Cat.'' Best Case Scenario might be the Slightly Unstable Gandalf that returns…

  14. I am looking for a spoiler free glossary. Or encyclopedia. I found the wot encyclopedia, but it does contain spoilers on the pages. I want something where I can just look up a character if they show up and I forget who they are. Some of the minor characters, arent in the glossary at the back of the books. Thanks.

  15. For me, a few would be: 1 Moirane Damodred's journey through the Tear Doorway. 2 The Dragon Reborn's journey through the Tear Doorway. 3 Mat Cauthon and Couladin's duel ... well ... actually ... i felt really satisfied by the flashback snippet, come to think on it ... MORE is not always Better ... and there is still something to be said for being left wanting more... 4 Perrin trying to help rebuild The Two Rivers and deal with his uncomfortableness at being looked to to make decisions after the final battle with the Trollocs...all events that supposedly occured off-stage during TFOH. 5 Cauthon after the wall fell on him...how did he get out? Who r…

  17. So, we all know by now that Egwenes dreaming ter'angreal had some... repurcussions during her test for Accepted meaning that some of the aspects became prophetic. Now something overlooked (I think) is that the resonance started before the first time (what was). Now from what I can recall seeing dsicussed this time is mainly overlooked, but I think I may well have found something. One theory advanced quite a bit is that Nynaeve will heal death (normally Rands death). Evidence being her talent at healing and the number of times death is referred to as being incurable (ala stilling). Something i've only just noticed though is that in Egwenes 1st test she '…

I'm in the middle of a re-read, and I'm really glad I did. A thought came to me. I know Faile comes from "royalty" and will probably assume the "Broken Crown", right? But, Perrin also seems destined to be more than just a Queen's husband. He seems to be growing into quite the leader, himself. His journey back to the Two Rivers, plus all the comments about Manatheren and its former glory... Well, could it be possible that Perrin will finally assume the crown, but back in the Two Rivers, using the banner of Manatheren? The old blood has a new royal line, legitimized by Faile. What do you think?

  19. This thread is to speculate the release dates the remaining books of both series. Wheel of Time has these books left: -Towers of Midnight (book 13) -Memory of Light (book 14) -maybe the 2nd & 3rd prequels -maybe 3 Outriggers Song of Ice and Fire has these books left:: -Dance with Dragons (book 5) -Winds of Winter (book 6) -Dream of Spring (book 7) -Mystery Knight (3rd of Tales of Dunk and Egg) Not sure if there are other planned books for that series. It seems certain to me that Sanderson would finish the main Wheel of Time books before George Martin finishes the main books of Song of Ice and Fire. If the prequels or the outriggers w…

I don't understand why so many people think that the woman, Aran'gar, used to be Aginor? In the last chapter of book 9 Osan'gar says how Trollocs were his makin and thus Myrddraal that sprung from them, and many other creatures that rocked the world.

  22. Started by The Watcher and Wanderer,

I was just thinking about the fact that Aginor/Osan'gar has thus far been the only Forsaken to die twice and neither time by balefire. Therefore, would it not make for a nice bit or irony if the DO decided to punish him for his double failure by reincarnating him as a Trolloc or some other shadow spawn? It would make a nice mirror for the irony of Balthamal being reincarnated as a woman and would be a bit of comeuppance for Aginor being amused by said irony.

  23. For me I struggle most with 'Rand', 'Mat' and 'Min' - HA HA HA HA HA HA!!! ;-) J/K Seriously, though ... I probably took forever to remember where all the apostrophes went... It took me years to get Ter'angreal and Tav'eren correct...Moiraine too... Itulrade...Oh. I still don't know how to spell the Dream Deal...(Tel'en'riod?? ???) Anywayz...those are some that have baffled me over the years... Fish

  24. I have loved reading all the Q&A from the book tours that has been amazing. It reminded me of when RJ used to do "questions of the week". These were great and gave awesome new insight into the Wheel of Time. Can we get a petition going for brandon to answer one question per week similar to those that were answered on the book tour? Who's for it? me! :) Here's a link to the old questions of the week I found: http://13depository.blogspot.com/2009/03/tor-questions-of-week.html

Sort of a criticism/observation, but I also have good things to say... I was wondering, if you ever find Robert Jordan's prose less than graceful? I enjoy the story; however, I get bogged down with the more descriptive passages that make up a significant amount of his writing. I also need to find a better glossary because there is just a huge amount of characters and sometimes it's nice to have a refresher just who is who. I enjoy the parts where stuff is happening the most, and it more than makes up for it.

  27. They are all unrelated but trying to conserve space and didn't want to make a thread for each - thanks! 1 Has Mat ever been to Cairhein? (I have a secret good reason behind this question) 2 Is the Great Hunt still ongoing??? WE all know that it has been found...but THEY don't...It was a major theme through the first half od the series but we never hear it mentioned anymore. 3 Did Mr Jordan accidentally MAJORLY Spoil us when he said that one of the propsed Outrigger Novels would feature Mat and Tuon in Seanchan AFTER The Last Battle??? Doesn't that imply that they definitely make it and that it probably goes fairly well and that there is no need for suspense…

Sorry if this is in the wrong place. I'm a refugee from wotmania and don't know my way around the site here yet. Is there anywhere to review the series prior to the newest book? I'm rusty and don't have the time or willpower to re-read everything. Is there a searchable index of characters and such too that won't include spoilers? I want to be careful not to get spoiled, but I'm going to need some help if I am to make it through the book and understand everything after so many years in between. Thanks!
