How did the Asha'man know that Rand was captured, and on top of that how did they travel so accurately, don't you have to know almost exactly where your going? and if they were skimming, you cant see where you come out, you only have a general idea right? or did I miss something....

OK, my friend(who is not on this site) was a good theory as to where Demandred is hiding. She thinks he is in Tel'aran'riod. Iy ould make sense, because that is the only place he has been seen.

  3. I was just thinking about the books and had this stray though. Wouldn't it be hilarious for a Perrin POV where Leni and Morgiese are serving Perrin and Faile and Perrin has one of his Tavern Visions of Rand again. Then he blurts out "Damn, now he's porking the Queen of Andor again! How are we ever going to win TG with the DR running around porking women all over the place! And she looks like she's 8 months pregers." I can just see Leni and Morgiese dropping everything all over the place and/or loosing it. In case you did not pick up on it - I am really tired of them playing servents to Perrin when by all rights they both should be hi-tailing it…

In most stories about good an evil, evil is usually winning coming into the final book or moive or even battle. So will it seem that the Dark One will win with overwhelming forces, only to have the forces or the Creator (Rand and team) snatch the victory away from the Dark One. Or will it be fairly even odds at the Last Battle. ciao

Plus, all the clothes. We can't live without knowing what everyone is wearing, down to the color of the women's shifts. If it has to be 3,000 pages, so be it. I'm sure we'll all survive. ;) BTW, thanks for putting up with all of our crap, now and in the future. Some of us are difficult to take, but only because we love RJ's world s…

With AMoL being the last book, I doubt it will happen, but I've always wondered if Faile would agree to help Darkfriends/the DO to protect Perrin. For example, if a darkfriend told Faile that Perrin would not be killed if he did not join Rand for TG, would Faile try to prevent Perrin from joining Rand? Personally, I've always thought that Faile probably would. Assuming Faile would, what do people think Perrin would do if he found out? On the other hand, would Perrin betray Rand to protect Faile. (The current storyline seems to suggest that he would at least consider it.)

I was wondering who everybody thought has the Horn of Valere right now. Is it still locked away in the white tower? Or could someone like Verin have taken it before she left. Seems like only Verin and Siuan knew where it was when Verin returned to the tower in TDR. If Verin doesn't have it....could it be that Egwene will be the one to find it again when she takes over the tower from Elaida? Maybe she will bring it to Mat at the last battle. (assuming Mat is still the only one who can blow it, since he has died a couple times now). Anyway, what do you guys think?

Okay, this may sound odd, but i've pieced it together... Taim is a forsaken, who has been placed into another body. Whether it's Asmodean or one of the other dead guys i don't know.. Here's my reasoning.. Saldaea is in the borderlands. The Great Lord has pulled some bodies (the best that could be taken from the borderlands) to stash some of the forsaken reborn into.. When rand is talking to Taim, Taim says something about the "So Called Aiel" This is just after Rand was bonded against his will in The Lord of Chaos... Just after Verin and Allana were at the inn in caemlin.. Which brings me to Verin... Why does she care if the girls she b…

  10. I dont know if anyone has brought this up before, but it just came to me we can play Magic the Gathering in WoT setting! for example, there are cards like, Aes Sedai, Asha'man, infantry, archer, queen, king, gray man, Gholam, trolloc, Myrddraal, etc. and also we can add hero units like Rand, Mat, etc. there are enough creatures and characters in Wot to make 3 decks of cards!! so how it plays, well, if you have a card of AS, and I have Gholam, then AS dies. but if you had Mat, then the Gholam dies. the usual cavalry>infanry&archer, but weak against pikes. gray man kills everything except a warder and Perrin can pick up its scent. just a few thoughts, im sure…

Any new ideas about what is going to be odd with the four babies Aviendha is supposed to have with Rand? I'm at that point in re-reading the series (I had forgotten about it). Maybe they are born as two sets of twins, each set opposites of their twin (1 good, 1 evil). After all, in the past the Dragon has been the champion of the DO too right?

All right let's get this one rolling. I obviously hate Nyneave, I think she is a rampaging, raunchy, ungrateful, unmitigated, hoebag of a beast. I would love to write myself into the story so I could channel out her vocal cords, burn that damn braid she's always pulling, and give her a perma-cold so the next time she even thinks about sniffing she is so stuffed up she can't ever do it again. If I was Mat, Juilin, Thom, Lan or any other person she has pulled her spoiled brat crap on, I would have gone off on her long ago. I know some of you like Nyneave (I find that mind boggling), to each their own, but who else hates or at least dislikes her?

Ok this has annoyed me for some time, but why does everyone think Rand will have a body swap. it has always been my assumption that Rand and Alivia will both use the choden kol without the keys an destryoy the DO then Nynaeve will and (healer asha man) will link and heal Rand from death.

Not sure if this sould be posted here or not but here it goes. I always had a great imagantion and had this story floating around in my head. Since hearing of RJ death I have desided to put it on paper. RJ was the one who really got me into reading. Before I started reading TWOT I read very little. Has RJ brought out any one else's dream of writing.

  15. I've been a WoT fan since I pIcked up The Eye of the World 5 years ago. The only bad part of coming back from bootcamp was finding that the worlds greatest author had died while I was away. Today I found out that Harriet choose Brandon Sanderson to finsh the series. I've never heard of him and am wondering what everybody thinks of his abilities and if he'll do a good job.

Well in Knife of Dreams Moridin certainly thinks so, either that, he says, or someone is posing as Sammael. Who thinks it is likely that he is alive? I mean, when Rahvin or Be'lal got hit with the balefire we KNOW they got hit with it. With Sammael, I believe, Rand assumed he got him but we never actually saw it. Thoughts?

OK we all know that Rand had an Angreal before he was kidnapped. Now it was lost. I belive that Tiam has it. He was in a perfect postion to take it during the aftermath of Dumai's Wells. All of the Ashman were there right after Rand broke free, It could have been any of them that saw it on the ground and turned it in to their M'Hael. I belive that it will come in to play during TG when Logain and TIam have they're show down. Any thoughts on this?

I am currently re-reading Crossroads of Twighlight, and I had a thought. At the end of the previous book, Rand used Saidar to help cleanse Saidin and afterwards the Choden Kal was destroyed from the effort. Now in Crossroads of Twighlight people are starting to say how Saidar is... failing. The wards in the Tower are failing, for instance. The keeping wards they cast over the barrels of meat fail. So I wonder to myself if the process of cleansing the male source did something in return to saidar, or is the timing just coincidence?

  20. I should be in bed not watching Quarterlife, but since I'm up... I've always felt, since reading the BWB, that all of the Male Forsaken's excuses for turning to the dark were inevitably about being Jealous of Lews Therin. From memory all the boys baring Asmodean were jealous of the Dragon so they went Emo in a big bad way. Oh Mr Dragon is so popular. Boo. Friggin. Hoo. For the record Asmodean was even worse; a composer who never got recognised so he decides to kill millions because he figured if he was immortal he could make it as a musician. What. The. Hell. The women on the other hand. Semi was outed as a sadist and was given the choice of stilling or being bound by th…

Figured I would see who people thought some of the favorite non-channelers were. Thom has definetly lived an interesting life, and may have the interest of Moiraine. Rhuarc would be the best warrior. Bayle Domon, well who wouldn't want to be a smuggling pirate? :) Tallanvor is a loyal Andoran soldier who could end up with the beautiful Morgase. Tam, well we know he is a blademaster, who knows what all he has seen or done. And of course being the father of Rand might be interesting. :) Anyway figured I would post a pretty goofy poll.

For all that are interested in the many online chats, question and answers, interviews that Robert Jordan made along with the many signing reports fans had posted in the past. I have gathered them all into one file which can be downloaded here: www.filefactory.com/file/288513 It is a 2meg word file and contains over 250,000 words and over 500 pages of text. The westlands never looked so good. I made a post on this board months ago about a small team making an Oblivion mod to create a Wheel of Time game. We finally finished creating the wilderness for the Westlands. We're now onto creating the cities themselves, and then the people that live in them. But it is amazing, being a big WoT fan and looking up the slopes of dragonmount, then making a trip down to Kinslayer's Dagger and just imagining the Aiel pouring out of the Gap. Then heading north to Shienar and looking up at the Mountains of Dhoom into Tarwin's Gap and the hordes that will soon live in there. Finally, I journeyed down to the Mountains of Mist and picked t…

Could anyone explain the "body swap" theory to me? It's been mentioned a number of times and a few people seem to take it as gospel. However, I can find very little evidence of it in the books and all the previous discussion threads have degenerated into petty bitchiness and pointless nitpicking...

I am sure this has been asked before a few times over the years, but since I am new I was wondering what everybody thought was their favorite book in the series, and maybe even why. My favorite is still The Eye of the World. It is just so exciting when you first read it and really pulls you into the series. I think I read it in just a few nights the first time. It was so fascinating to read about Aes Sedai and channeling the one power and their warders who were such feirce warriors, and to hear of this Dragon Reborn that would battle the dark one. Everything about it had me on the edge of my seat with excitement. :)

Could it be she's not bonded to the Oaths anymore? She did use the OP as a weapon... To smack Rand's ass... And she does live longer than any other Aes Sedai... So could it be she's free of her Oaths?

  27. "Thirteen," Rand said flatly, and just saying it was enough for Lews Therin to try seizing control of saidar from him again. It was a wordless struggle with a snarling beast. When Min first said there actually were thirteen Aes Sedai in Caemlyn, Rand had barely managed to seize the Power before Lews Therin could. Sweat rolled down Rand's face; there were dark patches on his coat. He only had room for concentrating on one thing. Keeping saidar away from Lews Therin. A muscle in his cheek jumped from the strain. His right hand trembled. Book : 6. Ok this is my first theory post so please be gentle. I'll quote a few of the items I will reference for my theory. From the prologue of TEotW "Tossing back his black cloak, Elan Morin flexed his hands. "A pity for you" he mused, "that one of your Sisters is not here. I was never very skilled at Healing, and I follow a different power now. But even one of them could only give you a few lucid minutes, if you did not destroy her first. What I can do will serve as well for my purposes." His sudden smile was cruel. "But I fear Shai'tan's healing is different from the sort you know. Be healed, Lews Therim!" He extended his hands, and the light dimmed as if a shadow ha…
