“The Last I saw her, she said the next time she met you, she’s spank your bottom till you couldn’t sit for a week” Merean in New Spring told Moiraine that Cadsuane has said that. Who thinks she will keep her work when Moiraine reappears in the last book. Cadsuane returned to the tower for a short time after the aiel war before going back into retierment and I doubt Moiraine returned to the tower until the death of the Amylin four or five years after the war ended so neither has met since. Two women neither of which has ever bowed to another, save Moiraine when she new time grew short and need Rand to listen to her. It will be interesting to see them meet again after twe…

I was not a big fan of the whole body swap idea until I came across something in a reread of POD.Ther is an interesting quote from a dream of Egwene's that makes me think it will be more likely the way things shake out. Page 308 of hard cover, first paragraph of chapter 15 "At least she could recall the dreams she knew must be significant...Rand, wearing different masks until suddenly one of those false faces was no longer a mask, but him." This is the same dream where Mat weighs 2 Aes ssedai on balance scales.

Well, im re-reading the series and after reading some official material online (http://www.tor.com/shayol.html) i came to the following problem: if the red aja's sole purpose is to hunt men who can channel to gentle them, what was it's purpose before the Breaking of the World?? because before, male and female channelers worked in unison, so whats up with them? was the breaking the catalist to form the Ajas? or where they from before? if so, what was the purpose of the red Aja before?? PS: i did a search and nothing of the sort apeared.

I believe that Aes Sedai, like everyone else who opposes the shadow need to follow Rand. I believe that Egwene once held this view, or at least something close to it based on her comment to Moiraine along the lines of: Rand must be free to effect the world. I believe that Cadsuane holds a similar view given the fact that she views her "purpose" as ensuring that Rand reaches Tarmon Gai'don (plus that laughter tears thing). At least some of the sworn sisters have this view, most notably the five Rand "holds in his hand", but I believe the first to come to this realization was Moiraine sometime between her oath in Rubidhean and Cairhaine, most likely when she learned…

i was recently reading up on Verin possibly being Black Ajah and came across a statement about Lord Luc, Tigraine's lost brother, and his links to the dark prophecy - i can't remember anything about Luc in any prophecy and was wondering if anyone knew anything about it.

I have been wondering about the 3 Tav'veren. How does it work? The one thing that I have seen that all 3 have in common is drawing what they need toward them. Rand - when Rand starts contemplating the cleansing of Saidin & how to defeat the DO Herrid Fell shows up. a philosopher who just happens to know the answers. Mat - He is alone & on the run with half the Seanchan army after him when The Band of the Red Hand shows up with Rapid fire crossbows. Perrin - Meets up with a Seanchan officer who just happens to know where the largest cache of forkroot in Randland is just when he needs to confront a few hundred Shaido wise ones. And thier in…

Since the Aiel split, the Shaido have been cast as the baddies. Sevaana is stupid, greedy and arrogant, but there's no suggestion she's a darkfriend. Thereva is a demented lesbian, but i think she's too pantomime villian to really be a darkfriend. The only Aiel darkfriend we've seen is Melaine, who tried to kill Matt using her lady parts. Is there any hint that any of Rand's truest followers are walking the dark path?

What are you theories about what will happen to the Aes Sedai after TG? With the Taint being cleansed, it seems obvious to me that the Aes Sedai need to welcome the men back into the ranks. If they want to maximize the full potential of channeling, they need to work together, as in the AoL. So will they all move into a now co-ed White Tower? Will the Tower somehow be destroyed? What will happen to the ajahs? Will they even still be called Aes Sedai? Will Rand become the new leader of them (I think that's controversial, since he's nowhere near the most experienced channeler around)? If so, will he still be called the "Amyrlin Seat", or something eles?

I am reposting my comment from Egwene's Asmo thread - with 124 pages and a thousand-something posts - because I would like to hear your thoughts and I don't want it to get lost in the mish-mash. From the Asmo Poll Thread: "This is something I never gave much thought to, but just reading over the thread a few things came to mind. Asmo was totally surprised by whoever it was. As someone said, if it were one of the other Forsaken he would have tried to talk his way out of it, or at least not been totally surprised. I have to admit, initially when I read the passage my gut reaction was that it was Lanfear. There are a lot of reasons why it "couldn't" be her,…

To put it bluntly, I despise Cadsuane. That arrogant prissy little Aes Sedai needs to be put down hard. I think i'd still her honestly, if I was Rand. I'd still her and laugh while doing it. Rand is the Dragon Reborn, he's the real live incarnation of Lew's Therin. This destiny was thrust on him and he's faced it head on and suffered terribly for it, and apparently he is expected to die for the world as well. Yet still he must face the minor annoyances of his compatriots, Logain? I like him, he's proud but when push comes to shove he knows his place. Cadsuane and the other Aes Sedai on the other hand don't seem to realize just how insignificant they are. Al…

When Thom finds Dena dead, the innkeeper tells him that Barthanes is dead, ripped to pieces. Now obviously, I think gholam when i hear that. But it's only book 2 and I don't think the gholam has been released yet. Plus there's no mention of lack of blood. Also, it doesn't seem to be the work of normal darkfriends, not the total mutaltion of a body. Sort of sounds like trolloc work but all the trollocs are gone by that time. And i know it can't be Fain because he already went through the waygate and the very next chapter it mentions him my Falme. Only thing left I can think of is a channeler, possibly a Forsaken? But I don't see the purpose of killing him, a…

Presently we have 8 ajahs White - logic/phillosphy/math Brown - knowledge/history Blue - causes/justice Grey - negotiating Yellow - Healing Black - serving the Shadow Red - "fixing" men who can channell Green - killing shadowspawn Post Tarmon Gai'don the White, Brown, Blue, Grey and Yellow are still viable porposes. The Black will almost certainly be done away with. But what will happen to the Reds and Greens. Personally I see the Reds moving into the primary ajah that works with men who channell, we have seen the start of this in KoD. The Greens may set themselves up as the primary opponent to the Seanchan, but I am not so certain. Any other …

I couldn't resist snitching this from wotmania: lines that will get you dead or worse if you say them to the right person. Add your own! "Hello, Alivia! Remember me? I was your first sul'dam!" "Excuse me, Teslyn Sedai, are you looking for a Warder?" "Lord Perrin, are you by any chance married to Lady Berelain, there?" "What a lovely necklace, Marigan! May I try it on? "Nicola, can I trust you to keep a secret?" "Hey, you in the black veils, you can't catch me now! I'm on my horse!" "You know, Rhadam, the Dragon Reborn can't be all bad." "Halima, I need you to help me here." "Are you sure you can trust the Dragon Reborn, my Lady Elayne?…

The Illuminators are an organization at Dragonmount that focuses on the creative energies of the members as a whole. We do not have any one specific purpose except creativity. We have the ability to grow into whatever creative minds can come up with. The Illuminators currently have five chapter houses. Each house focuses on something general, but these are not the limits of the Illuminators. The Scribe's Chapter house focuses on our writers, editors and publishers. The Artist Chapter house focuses on the classical arts, sketching, painting, sculpting, digital illustration and rendering, etc. The Crafter's chapter house focuses on the trade skills, sewing, jewelers, blacks…

At the end of Book 1, when Rand is struggling with the One Power from the Eye in Tarwains Gap he screams ...... " Light, help me!!! " and a booming voice in his head in all CAPS ( just like the Dark One's voice is typed in later books ) says ....... " I WILL TAKE NO PART, ONLY THE CHOOSEN ONE CAN DO WHAT MUST BE DONE, IF HE WILL" and then the stairs to Ishmeal appear. Was this "The CREATOR" ???? sure looks that way to me....... btw: I think Mazrim Taim is actually Sammual in desguise.

I can't seem to recall, but how dark is Tuon? African dark? (our world) I'm not sure if I'm the only one, but it helps me to imagine people in the book if I can relate how they look from their description to a race in our real world. I seem to remember there being people as dark as the Athan Miere (african dark) except they had blue eyes. For some reason, I just cant put an image to Tuon's face. Thanks for any info.
