Wheel of Time Books

Does anyone else listen to the AudioBooks? I have read all the books several times. read the entire series straight through 5 times. I have also listened to the entire series 3 time. I was just wondering if anyone else has listened to the Audiobooks.

I commented in my response to athena's question about Berelain's "Man in White" that I was looking forwards to Perrin's forthcoming meeting with the Whitecloaks because he's inevitably going to run into Jaret Byar and Dain Bornhald who hate him fiercely. Anybody else think this will be a very interesting meeting? What other approaching confrontations are you looking forward to?

I know your gonna think im stupid but why doesn't rand hurin and loial just leave and go about their way and look for ingtar....the game is obviously the hunt correct? i mean he has like 50 soldiers escorting him to cairhieren (spelled wrong i know) then they get there and they are still up his butt......so why doesnt he tell tavolin to back off? sorry if this is stupid but i want to know if im missing something.....and this selene girl definately is not who she says she is i know that much....

This is what Elaida Foretells in aCoS and she takes it to mean that the Tower will be whole under her and the revels will be cast out. That Rand will face her and face her anger. And that the black tower will be broken and conquered by the aes sedai. But we know from reading the later books that the way she interprets the last bit isn’t correct. The sisters walk the grounds because they have been bonded by the asha’aman. So this led me to thinking had she completely misinterpreted her Foretelling? Does this mean that the White Tower will be whole again under Egwene, as she too is Amyriln, and that Rand will face Egwene’s anger? As we know she is often angry …

A friend of mine says no. He says when you compare what they did in the war of power as described in the guide and compare it to now they seem tame. I think otherwise. in the 4th book hopper says "Take care, Young Bull. The day of the last hunt draws near. We will run together in the last hunt." does the last hunt mean Tarmon Gai'don? If so how will hopper come back i mean isn't he dead? will the creator gain control of who is brought back from the dead? Ok the last question may be out there and easy to answer, but its somthing i've been wanting to know.

However, Siuan realizes that she never noticed the others channeling, to bind and gag Leanne because women channel in the tower all the time. Yet, neither did she feel the death of her Warder, Alric, who is dead in the antechamber with a knife in his back. Is the Warder Bond one way in terms of pain, and knowledge of death, on the Warders side?

When a woman heal a severed man he is fully healed but when she heals a woman then it is only a partial healing. When a man heal a severed woman she is fully healed but when he heals a man then it is only a partial healing. Assuming this is true then could they both(linked) increase the level of power or possibly enable someone to channel? just a thought

This is my first post here, although I've been reading over the boards for a couple of weeks--really enjoy all the theories. There's some questions that are bugging me, maybe someone has an answer. 1. We never meet any channelers who are average to below average intelligence. I don't mean that they don't do stupid things, but the teacher in me has noticed that all the channelers are very intelligent people. Are there any low I.Q. channelers? 2. I've been trying to figure out how RJ plans on finishing the series in one more book. (most of my supposition being "not bloody likely") Here's one that, while I don't think likely, is a possibility. Aiel have the belief that at death they actually wake from "the dream", not a dream, the dream. It has been stated numerous times through out the books. Other than the Sheinarians in TEOTW, the books haven't really discussed beliefs on death for any other peoples. Also we don't know what exactly LTT did in creating Dragonmount, other than drawing an enormous amount of power to do it. I'm wondering if the Reds showing up in the Tower with Ashaman warders will cause another split, or give the rebels Red Sitters. I am sure that when the Black Tower expidition of Reds show up Elida will have a break down, the Red Ajah might as well. Elida will order the new warders gentled, and the sisters who hold the bonds will object. They will flee the tower to protect their warders and goto the one place they have a chance at keeping their warders while at the same time remaining in good standing with a tower, the rebels. I've been thinking, is it possible to place a waygate horizontal? And if it is, does that means that if you collect 5 chanellers you could make a box of 5 waygates... That would be pretty kewl 'cause no one could reach you in the box, but you could look out and exit whenever you want :) Has anyone else ever thought of this?

Ok this seems as good a place as any to put this here's my unorthidox theory about Moiraine's Return to Randland :lol: Basicly I think Moiraine is going to come back a very changed women, both in the power and in body. Ive seen boards asking the favs of these, and a least favorite character board, so i thought of asking if there are any scenes you dont like or simply hate and always skip over when rereading? Rand thinks its a little crazy that Logain is an ashaman in book 10. How come Nynaeve didnt let him know she healed him? Besides being the female who helped him cleanse saidin and defeating Moggy 2x, healing Logain is like her best acomplishment. You would think that when he showed up in Tear she would have told Rand. We all know Nynaeve is not the poster child for modesty. She likes rubbing stuff in peoples faces. Also Logain thinks Rand couldnt have cleansed Saidin. All it would take is Nynaeve to tell him that it was true for him to believe. She healed him something that was impossible to do. As far as Im concerned I cant believe that he doesnt show a he…
