I've been reading Feast of Crows over the past few days. And I gotta be honest, sorry you GRRM fans, I'm not loving it. In a word BORING! The last book ending with some exciting cliff hangers, THAT AREN'T MENTIONED in this book. It's just Ceresi's whining conniving, Jaime's moping about his life, Breane's little quest, but none of the characters I really liked have much of a part in this book. And the Freys aren't dieing by the dozen the way the last book made it look like would happen. P.S. The tip 'o the hat to RJ was pretty cool.

The link below leads to a cliche list in fantasy. Its really funny and very discouraging to all fantasy writers. Anybody who answer 'no' to all the questions on this list has likely written something that cannot be classified as fantasy! Just go through it and post your comments below. I find Q 33 particularly offending. Q 75 is hilarious. http://rinkworks.com/fnovel/

Hey guys, as i'm now about the boards, thought it would be nice to share a few poems...poetry being one of biggest passions, though the poems aren't WoT related. (aside from WoT) :) Hope you guys enjoy! :) *Felicur wanders between the wagons finding a quiet spot to sit and read a few of his poems. Stopping outside a multi-coloured wagon, he sits, leaning against it. Taking out a sheet of paper he begins in a low voice* Swallows In the rose glow of dusk swallows master the air as sure as arrows, weave their way between apartment blocks like planes in a dogfight. Ok guys! Me and William have been entertaining the idea for quite some time to start a trip around DM as the Tuatha'an for neighborly visits to see what's out there and who's who where ever they may be. As the Traveling People, we felt it was time to replace the broken wheels on these ole caravans and hook up the horses to them! So on the 21st of October, the Sunday after next, we will start our adventure across DM with the Black Tower! We will be there for two weeks and then we will move on to the next person. I will post here for each update as to the times and our next destination, so you may want to keep this thread bookmarked if need be. There will be point…

I have been reading Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time sieries since I was 17 years and that was 16 years ago.It seems like only yesterday that I picked up The Eye of the World and started reading it and in that first few words I was hooked and since I have read and re-read them more then once.Jordan was to me one of the most talented fantacy writers ever. The way he made the world and the people in that world come to life, sometimes I found myself forgeting that it wasn't a real place, like when I would get excited about or upset about something that had happened and I would start talking about it to my friends and family and they would be like what are you talking about and I w…

Shadow Rises Shadow Rises is a WoT based Rp site that starts right before the Last Battle begins, the Dragon Reborn is killed by the Dark One and the Father of Lies is loosed upon the world. The Shadow has advanced on and overtaken Tar Valon only to be trapped by the power of a barrier created by the Choedan Kal. The Blight has moved further south than ever, moving past Tar Valon by several miles. The Black Tower is moved north of Caemlyn and a new city emerges around it. Both Aes Sedai and Asha'man work together in Klans to fight the Dark One and his minions. The Legion of the Dragon has been reformed into a true military force from members of the decimated …

For those who didn't hear, a while ago Tor offered to email a free eBook every few weeks if you signed up for their newsletter, and I signed up right away in order to get Mistborn. I've read a few others that have arrived, but I'm curious if anyone else is reading them and can recommend some that have been good. I've read and generally liked (in the order of most-least): Sanderson - Mistborn Wilson - Spin Scalzi - Old Man's War Buckell - Crystal Rain Watts - Starfish Wright - Orphans of Chaos

What is up mi amigo's? Now I know what some of you are wondering. Is this truly a spymaster's report of old. Just like back in the day when our hero JD once ruled DM and CoL alike with a large hammer made entirely of wit? While others are thinking. Who is this JD, and what is this Spymaster's report all about? and yet others may be thinking. What is today? Thursday? okay, what month? I just shake my head at you people. For you need help. Anyway if you're thoughts weren't in italics above, good for you, you're an independant thinker and I like that about you. Now go fetch me some OJ to whet my throat, then sit down, and prepare to be enlightened on all the weeks m…

I've got a few extra minutes on my hands. I was visiting the White Tower with a band of Traveling People. The trip started off very good, but then I told a really long story and kind of killed the whole trip. Sometimes, being a show stealer can have negative consequences. :( I was going to tell a story over there, but the place seems to be deserted. Not wanting to waste precious time, I quickly Traveled to the nearest friendly place that I know of...here among the Tuatha'an! I might have tried a stedding, but the One Power doesn't work there so I would have had to spend even more time walking in then back out again. When I headed here, I had no idea of…

For the rest of you who just want to know more on aMoL progress, Brandon recently said that he had to finish his 6.0 draft of Warbreaker before he could do any more work on aMoL. After that's done, we should be getting more updates.

  26. Page 9 Literary Works Poem (Safia al-Maaz) To His Love William Shakespeare SHALL I compare thee to a summer's day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate: Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May, And summer's lease hath all too short a date; Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines, And often is his gold complexion dimm'd; And every fair from fair sometime declines, By chance, or nature's changing course, untrimm'd. But thy eternal summer shall not fade, Nor lose possession of that fair thou owest; Nor shall Death brag thou wanderest in his shade, When in eternal lines to time thou growest:— So long as me…

Hi. I've looked around a bit and can't find another topic like this so here goes. Am I the only one who wishes that Rand and Egwene still loved each other? Due to some unfortunately placed spoilers I found out halfway through EotW that Rand and Egwene drift apart. I was quite upset by this, even though I didn't know Elayne, Aviendha and Min then. Anyone else wish Rand and Egwene would get back together?
