I've been seeing Cobbs popping up on my Facebook and thought it was cool that places elsewhere called bread rolls Cobbs.

 

As that's what we call them in Nottinghamshire.

 

Unless I'm totally wrong and a cobb is something completely different in Canada lol

I've only ever heard it used to describe round breads, bigger than bread bowls, like our sourdough. We do have a lot of customers from across the pond so I hear them using cob in terms of buns. When I double check with people I tend to get looks that suggest I'm crazy and shouldn't have to ask
