Stranger Things (Food)

Featured Replies

We all do strange things, let's talk about it!

What food (meals and/or snacks) do you enjoy that the people around you would call strange?

Do you know foods that are common in your country that are considered strange internationally?

i've read that peanut butter and jelly is considered strange/unappetizing in other countries.

i enjoy all kinds of things i'm sure others think strange. my best friend had never heard of boysenberries until i told him about them. ooo root beer, i know thats a fairly regional to the states thing.

My husband thinks I'm weird because I can sit down and eat a whole jar of zesty pickles. Idk if that's actually weird or just a silly thing between him and I.

Oh, so I love steak, and I don't think it NEEDS anything extra if it's a good steak... But A1 Peppercorn sauce is so good! I have to have it. I put it on boneless chicken breasts too.

I also like to mix the A1 Peppercorn with ranch sauce and dip fries in it... Try it, it's amazing.

Ranch on pretty much anything is so good really... *Drools*

wait....broccoli and applesauce together?

Yes together. I dip the broccoli in the applesauce.

I've got to try broccoli and applesauce. I like both.

Spinach on sandwhiches is good. I liked sliced avacado too. But not guacamole. Nope.

My son and I put peanut butter in oatmeal. It's tasty, but others seem to think its strange.

Oh, people think it's odd that I put peanut butter on pancakes, waffles, and french toast, and then the syrup.

When I was younger I used to enjoy peanut butter and pickle sandwiches. I don't really eat anything unusual now unless you count sitting down and eating on a tub of frosting for a sugar fix.

One strange thing I like to - *gets smacked by the PG-13 sign*

Uhm...

I *don't* like steak. So there's that.

I used to eat cinnamon graham crackers and salsa. And grilled cheese with lemon juice squeezed on it while it was cooking.

O.O

You... Don't like cheese?? Is this like you're lactose intolerant, or you genuinely don't like it??

I genuinely don't like most cheese. Unless it's on pizza, macaroni and cheese, and saltine crackers with slices of cheese.

I like bread and butter pickles on my sandwiches. Hubby thinks that's weird. I don't.

I also do not like cheese on my sandwiches or hamburgers. I do however love cheese. Just not on those.

I like gravy with my fries. I think that was a Southern thing I picked up. Wet Fries are awesome.

Fries pretty much go with everything in my opinion. Same with chips.

I like spinach on my sandwiches rather than lettuce.

My favorite pizza is garlic butter instead of marinara sauce, topped with spinach, chicken, and tomatoes. And what is really weird is that Dominos does it better than Pizza Hut.
