How old were you when you first picked up the WoT?

I first read them 18 months ago while recovering from knee surgery. I started with A New Spring and haven't looked back since. I was 31. A friend who knows I love Tolkien recommended them to me.

If my math is correct, I was 15. I know for a fact that I was a Sophomore in high school, because I constantly left TGH in my Junior year history class and got my teacher hooked on them as well. That would have been the spring of 1990...

I remember it well. I was 17 just before I went off to university. It was 1995 and I had read an awful lot of fantasy books already by then (and still read them now im almost 30). I read the 1st three in about three months, I was instantly hooked. Then I had to slow down a bit as I think book six had only just been published.

I've been reading WOT websites ever since, as I discovered the net that year too:)
