Dang, the person above me knows I have only read like two of those and that was some time ago.  I haven't gotten back to them because I'm trying to finish the Night Angel trilogy in the 20 minutes a night that I get to read.

 

Not the cross, not garlic, not holy water - Sunlight!  And.....Decapitation?  I remember LeStat getting pretty trashed and comming through it.

Sunlight does not hurt one such as myself after a certain amount of time, person above me (IE 4,000 yrs, Akasha), decapitation did not kill LeStat and he isn't even a tenth as old as I am, even drinking that loser Akasha's blood, puts him no where near me, I make Akasha look like a new fledging.

No person above me they killed her by drinking her blood when she allowed Lestat to drink it in front of them.

So being drained is an issue.  Check.
