When I was a teenager about 40 years ago I liked trolling for northern pike using a daredevil spoon.  Grandpa's row boat was made of steel so it was very heavy and hard to row.  It also leaked which made it heavier.  But, it got me into shape for the start of football practice.  Hardly ever caught any pike.  Kids now-a-days probably "fish" with dynamite.  Not much help for doing push ups.  ::)
