But has limited HP attacks and no connections from bravery to HP. If you can get smiting soul then zidane can break opponents easily.

And there are complete lists of the accomplishments on the net if you can't see what they are.

personally I like to be a bugger with Squall and a pain with Cloud and braver forcing them to dodge all the time.

  • She has been assimilated.  Resistance, go figure, ended up being futile after all.

Yes, I've been using the list off the FF Wiki, I just didn't recall which specific accomplishment it was. I just remembered that all those 100%-completion-type ones are in the last bunch where they only give oblique clues.

I don't have Smiting Soul, obviously. Anyway Squall's HP attacks are easy enough to fire off after a block. I play him aggressively when gathering bravery, then defensively when looking for a kill. I'm not fond of firing off a bunch of HP attacks unless they work like Zidane's Meo Twister and fire the opponent into the distance; I'm not crazy about the vulnerability to breaking.

For squall heel drop in the air will result in a staggered block that leaves them open.

I don't use unsafe HP attacks recklessly but some like braver is really hard to punish unless you dodge the way I am going and risk getting hit in the aftermath.

nearly everyone has a free HP attack after a block, except for ones like Ultimecia. And the ones near the end are actually collecting something or killing someone.

I prefer Beat Fang over Heel Drop; it's so easy to string a bunch of them together.

And Braver is punished easily enough with Hell's Gate.

Depends on how you dodge braver, or using omniguard.

I keep both beat fang and drop heel since drop heel is good for staggering a blocking opponent then beat fang hits them into the ground, then aerial circle to catch them on wake up.

You don't even have to dodge Braver; Hell's Gate immediately shoots Sephiroth up out of the way and poised to counter.

I like that Duodecim had Sephiroth programmed to use Hell's Gate on Aerith any time you used her as an assist. That's a grim sense of humor right there.

Why not try heavens light then since it drops you below the opponent no matter what height.

And I would love to play my Duodecim but my PSP was homebrewed when I bought it so it won't play it. Pain in the butt since it is stopping me playing Birth by Sleep and FMA:Brotherhood.

For me playing Sephiroth I like to do the wave attack in mid-air smash them into the ground then come in with a HP attack.

Mostly I play Squall, Cloud and Cecil. I hate the computer sometimes though when it seems to be able to read all your moves no matter what you do.

I think I have Sephiroth levelled high enough where he has Heaven's Light, but I haven't played him in a while. Last character I did any work on was Ultimecia. Annoying that the villains are for the most part so much trickier to use effectively than the heroes.

I've got him at level 40, so he should; pretty much everyone has all their attacks by then.

I've been playing Crisis Core lately. I don't hate it as much as I hated FF7.

Gramps pretending his grandkids needed attention so he dodge and still retain his dignity.

Costly punch makes it difficult to get it of before having to dodge, what I need is the soul of Henke so that I can use the item that allows endure to last forever. Alas I have yet to finish all the side missions yet.

Oh I'm not anywhere near that far in yet. I'm only up to Modeoheim.

I didn't think I would enjoy playing as Cloud of Darkness as much as I do.

She is good if you are good at tricks and traps. She is not an out and out fighter. Long range beam works well with the homing and trapping them in a corner and hitting with O-beam

Granted it's mostly Gabranth I've been playing her against; Gabranth is my favorite punching bag for levelling.

I get to play Saturday night...rest of the week is too busy...I'm not...uuhhhmmm...wealthy enough...to play much...idle time costs money...unless you're single...then you have more idle time than busy time...like I would know...I haven't been single for a VERY long time...but I remember the boredom while I was in the Navy...spent LOTS of money trying not to be bored...back then it was pinball machines...didn't have any computer games...even Atari hadn't been invented yet...yes, I know...hard to believe...but true.

Long string of beautiful weather here in the mitten...sunny and 70's...more than three days in a row...yes, I know...hard to believe...but true.

I prefer Gabranth because he doesn't have any HP attacks outside EX mode. Exdeath's aren't exactly hard to avoid, but a guy like Gabranth who can only try and swat you with ineffective brave attacks suit my block-counter style better.

That is true but apart from Amalgest Exdeath has easy to avoid HP attacks and then you just use the magic pot trick to get easy victory.

Gabranth works in that case unless he gets to Ex mode and becomes a beast.

That's why you stay on him and don't let him get into EX mode!

Anyway, I know about the Magic Pot trick, but for some reason I just don't like using summons. Like, for anything.
