Favorite Actor Versus Tournament Round 1

Featured Replies

Posted

For those of you that have not participated in these before, I will post two Actors and anyone can reply with their choice.  After a certain amount of time, or if one of the participants is running away with the vote, a winner is declared and I will post a new challenge.  Once we run through the first round, the winners will face off in the second round.  The rounds will continue until we come up with an overall winner.  Again, anyone can cast a vote for whatever reason you want.  Let's get started.....

Moving On:  Clint Eastwood, Tom Cruise, Jack Nicholson, Morgan Freeman, Harrison Ford, Robert DeNiro, Ed Norton, John Wayne, Samuel Jackson, John Cusack

Moved to a nice Farm:  John Travolta, Mel Gibson, Al Pacino, Sean Penn, Denzel Washington, Ewan McGregor, Kevin Spacey, James Stewart, Russell Crowe, Peter O'Toole, Leo DiCaprio

Clint Eastwood

Clint Eastwood here as well.  Not only is he a great actor, he is also a great director.  I feel like Clint could go far in this competition.

Clint is a better actor, but as I've been listening to the Grease soundtrack in my car (because I now have a CD player!!), I'm going to vote for Danny, errr, John Travolta. He's the one that I want!  ;D

This is obviously a 1 v. 16 matchup, and we all know the 1 seed never loses those.

I think Eastwood takes this one down... yeah... 10 - 2.

Next up:

Tom Cruise

vs.

Mel Gibson

Mel+Gibson+Braveheart.jpg

Mel Gibson has not done anything good since Mad Max.

Cruise may be as mentally messed up as anyone can be, but he can act.

Cruise.

Braveheart RAWKED!  Passion of the Christ made me weep like a baby even if the history made me cringe.  Mad Max was/is the end all be all of a-punk-alypse films.

[move]MEL[/move]  Even if he is a bit... ummm.... nutters?

mel all the way.  still havent seen his new one but as soon as it hits previously viewed racks i will.  braveheart is the best movie ever made...except maby saving privet ryan.

Such a hard choice. One who's halfway out of the closet and the other merely a raving lunatic. Lulz.

My opinions of actors are very derogatory, if you haven't noticed. :P

I think I am going with Tom here.

We have

Top Gun/Risky Business/MI/Collateral/Jerry Maguire/Few Good Men/Rain Man/Legend/Color of Money/Magnolia

vs.

Mad Max/Lethal Weapon/Braveheart/

I think Braveheart is a great movie... but Tom makes better all around movies.

The count (it's a close one):

Tom:4

Mel:5
