[glow=red,2,300]Freeman[/glow], hands down.  Penn's been in some good movies lately, done the brooding/sensitive/special thing, but Freeman's got gravitas, man.  Gravitas.  (I like that word.  It's fun.  Say it with me now.  Gravitas)

Sean Penn is considered one of the top actors of our time and I had to include him on this list, even if he is beaten down the first round.

Freeman.  Penn's best role IMO is in Fast Times, great movie and good role, but he's a bit limited.

I have to go with [glow=red,2,300]Morgan Freeman[/glow] as well, if not only because of Glory and Shawshank.

Morgan Freeman of course. Shawshank was amazing.

Gah, another tough one. I have to go with Penn though, for childhood memories of his performance in Bad Boys. Seeing it again as an adult, the film wasn't as great as I remembered it, but it did make quite an impact.

 

And Morgan starred in Bruce Almighty, which is a major blow to his credibility.
