Errands

A present? Sial took the puzzle with a mix of delight and puzzlement. It wasnt the first time a Sister had given her something-Light, Eqwina had given her a horse!-but, like when she recieved Coal, she found a tiny part of her mind muttering about Aes Sedai gifts not being what you thought they were. Which, considering who the Aes Sedai was, where she was and what she was training to do, was plain ridiculous. Prudent but ridiculous all the same.

Sial took the puzzle with as sombre and grateful a smile as she could manage. "Thankyou, Lillian Sedai!" Then that grin broke through her attempt at sombrerity and she ended up looking vaguely cheeky as opposed to even slightly sophisticated. Sial attempted a cursty, which was more a bounce than anything, then tried the puzzle. She couldnt get the ring to do more than wriggle on the chains but at least it was pretty.

"See you at dinner!" With that, Sial scurried from the room, still prodding at the puzzle. She would run to the lesson but she didnt care.Yes, she had been duped, but it had been a good day!
