All you folks should call me "Meesh," as it's more pronounceable or understandable than "Mmee."

 

No, I don't have the book, but I think I'll look into it.  My grandparents had it, I think, and my dad remembered the story and looked it up on the internet so he could share the story with us kids.  My mom hates Barrington because the story makes her cry... :'(
