Look at NPD's national sales figures, we are a couple billion ahead of them most years.  I grant you though that they have a HUGELY higher market penetration than we do.

 

I will caveat this by giving Korea props for MMO's, I think they are the biggest MMO country in the world, which is a bit scary.  Their idea of arcades are rooms with computers loaded with WoW or StarCraft.  Blizzard practically owns that place.  Plus thier Pro-Gamers are like chick magnets and make a pretty decent living from PLAYING VIDEO GAMES OMGWTFBBQ.
