You guys who are having these issues, need to learn not to click on things, and if you do, make sure to have a real anti-virus running, not an AVG.  I'd say get Eset Smart Security, but if that is too expensive (49.99-ish), make sure you have spybot running, not ad-aware.  Ad-aware does not block anything from installing, also having Vista or Windows 7 which has a UAC (user allowed content) prevention on also could stop anything from happening. :)

 

All in all, the moral of the story is to copy/paste the link from the chat window, into the google search bar, NOT THE ADDRESS BAR, and do more research :)
