Clearing cookies out is a good thing to do every now and then as a general privacy tip, but I'm not exactly sure the problem is there.

 

A few nights ago I poked the server and since then DM is back to "normal" for me but I'm still getting reports that some people are getting very slow connections. Frankly, I'm stumped as to the rhyme or reason, but it's important to me to figure it out (both for the DM community AND to satisfy my geeky need to understand why everything does what it does) and I'm doing more poking and prodding.

well, since i only clean them once a week, i still had trouble, so maybe the other people having trouble haven't clean it out. other than that, i have no clue what's up.

sinister suggests adware of some sort.
