WD40 is like a universal solvent/lubricant.  You can use it for anything!  It takes gum off your shoes and puts shine on pennies, cleans adhesives off of furniture, whatever you fancy...

I know what is, I use for my lock on the boot of my car...lol

 

though didn't know it gets gum off shoes, nor that it cleans adhesive off furniture...thats new.
