Me: Thank you for choosing Shaw, how can we help you today?

Him: Yeah... nothing is working today.  Is there a big outage in my area right now?

Me: Let’s bring up your account and have a quick look

*brings up account, verifies user ID*

Me: Ok.  It looks like the only thing happening is that you’re a little bit behind, so the central computer has shut everything down.  We can get everything back up and running in short order.

Him: Oh.  Really?  How much is owing right now?

Me: $975.

Him: Oh, ok.  Hang on a sec.

Him *yelling to background*: You forgot to pay the bill again!  You gotta stop doing that.  What?  No!  It’s not even that big a bill.  Look, just give me your credit card and I’ll pay it over the phone.  What?  Fine.  You go pay it then!

Him: Sorry about that, where’s the nearest retail outlet?

*explained location of retail*

Him: Oh, that’s pretty close.  We’ll just pop in there and pay it right now.
