Light!  You people are taking this way too far!  The whole point of this thread was to open up a place where people post their opinions about a fictional honour system!  If you don't want to live by ji'e'toh, then don't live by it.  If you like it, then use it.  No one is going to force you into following ji'e'toh.  Just because one person says that they live by their own personally modified version of ji'e'toh and happens to like it doesn't mean that everyone is going to like it.

 

Of course there are flaws.  We haven't had a whole age to adjust to it.  We live in a whole different world with different customs and countries.  Besides, ji'e'toh is not universal in Randland; save for a few newer Cairhienin societies, only the Aiel have ever lived by it.  If you will recall the wetlanders' societies trying out their differential versions of ji'e'toh.  They changed it a bit to fit their ways.
