what if the last battle isn't really a battle at all!

what if the book slogs on through 10000 pages and the last battle is 3 paragraphs of about a fist fight rand has with a trolloc? i don't know if that would suck or not.

Not entirely true, it has been stated by RJ that 2 prequels are going to be realeasaed

Hm....I just hope he´ll get most of the open plot-strings finished in a way that isn´t too abrupt and like a deus ex machina...though knowing RJ and his style of wrting, I really doubt he´ll do that.

So, yay for elaborateness and I so want a 2000+ pages book with lots of details, drama and a world that still leaves us something to think (and RP ;) ) about
