not a big fan of vampire books, but "blood and chocolate" by Annette Curtis Clause is ok. The movie is good too!

Got a question for you all learned readers.

 

My girl has been reading the twilight series by Stephanie Myer, and while intersting seems a bit juvenile and romantic for my tastes. The thing is vampire books and movies interest me, so my question is does anyone know of any good vampire books or preferably a series. Only thing is that it to be an adult vampire theme not young adult or anything like that. Also if it has as little romantic mumbo jumbo as possible.

 

The absolute, hands-down best 'adult' vampire novel I have ever read is George RR Martin's Fevre Dream. Different, intelligent and incredibly well-written with a vivid atmosphere. Absolutely no romance and with some interesting spins on the vampire legend.

 

I haven't read them, but I've also had Kim Newman's Anno Dracula series recommended to me (in which Dracula travels to England, bewitches and marries Queen Victoria and mayhem ensues).

The only only one I ever read was Salems Lot by Stephen King, and I loved that one.
