Tonight is Children in Need night here in the UK. It is held every year and it is run by the BBC to raise money for Children in Need all over the country. Each year they raise millions for this cause.

 

Giving to children charities is one on the toip of my lists that and animal charities.

 

What charities do you like to give to?

I like to give to Alcoholics Anonymous.  For every bottle of whiskey I give, they'll paint a room in my house!

*takes a bottle of whiskey*  ;D

 

I'll be around to paint a room next week!

Ok, just make sure you've sobered up by then, and I only allow people to paint my house in the nude.

As if I wouldn't have!

 

Well I suppose that saves trying to get the paint off my clothes...

And we only use edible paint.

Can't say I've used that before!

I give to Mission Australia on a regular basis, they provide food and other services for the homeless here.

I give to random people collecting in the streets

Do you then just give to any charity or are you selective?

Well, I pretty much give to anyone who looks legit and if I have any change on me, I'm not very selective. Not yet, in any case : p I have gone around with a... not sure what you call 'em. Little thing you can put money into, but not take out from! Anyhow; for a school for poor kids in Africa *nod*

I'm not too keen on people come up on the street, unlees it is a well known charity and they have the necessary identification. You can't be too careful!

 

There is a new supermarket just opened and they have given everyone a token who pruchases something. On the way out you can put the token in one of three local charities, and depending on the amount of tokens the store will then donate to that charity. Pretty good idea I think for a big store.

Occassionaly, smart things happen over here...not often though!
