Because you can sneak on a wireless wan for free?

 

Like you can do with any old laptop? ;D

Though, I am quite sceptical when it comes to using Skype on wifi, sounds like begging for some serious lag.

    Although really you can get a decent netbook for about the same price, and it's pretty small. I think they start around 7".

    Well, on my wireless router, I don't get any lag with skype...

    Free wi-fi? That all depends on how many people are actually using it, how fast your connection is, and obviously if theres any 'filtering' going on.

     

    I know where I live, the free wifi hotspots, are fast as hell, because I'm like, the only one who knows they have em. ;)

    well for any of you who care i decided to go with a 32" lcd, and it kicks the @$$ out of my old 19" crt. but thanks for the advice, it was verry helpfull.  now i just have to fuiger out hoe to get extention cables long enuph to plug my puter into it so i caan watch the free netflix movies on it.
