You know the most disappointing thing about all of that.  He was using the supplement Androsteniodine or whatever until he found out about young athletes emulating him and using it too.  Then he stopped.  If he did use steroids it was prior to Baseball having a ban on it, so no penalty(other than reputation), but he had to balk and avoid in the hearing.  Shameful. 

 

No matter what though...I will always remember "the chase" as one of the most memerable seasons I have ever seen(Been watching Cards for about 3 decades).

Yeah, that was much more exciting watching the three of them go at it and then Mac pulling away than watching Barry Bonehead chase down Hank Aaron.
